He knew his mother’s personality-strong-willed and unreasonable. So even if there was a conflict between the two of them, he would still prioritize believing Rosalind.
He trusted that Rosalind was not someone who would stir up trouble.
“Ulric, won’t it be difficult for you to be caught in the middle?” Rosalind smoothed the fabric on his chest and smiled. “I don’t want to make things hard for you, just like you wouldn’t want me to suffer.”
Ulric caught her wandering hand, his dark eyes filled with seriousness.
“As long as you stay by my side, nothing else matters.”
He only wanted Rosalind by his side.
She looked at him and smiled without replying, then gently changed the subject. “I’ve made so many dishes. Don’t you want to try them?”
“I’ll hold you while we eat.”
“Okay.”

Since leaving Malcolm’s place, Tilda hadn’t said much.
Johnny knew she was in a bad mood, so he drove to a mall.
“What are we doing?”
“Shopping! I promised to make up for the clothes last time, didn’t I? They say buying new clothes makes women feel better.”
Tilda frowned at him. “You seem very experienced.”
“I swear, I used to just give money. I never went shopping with women.”
“You’ve been swearing a lot lately.”
“But my conscience is clear! Really.” Johnny tried to please her by taking her hand.
Tilda squeezed his hand back and smiled with narrowed eyes. “Actually, I believe you. If you were this attentive to every woman, you’d be exhausted.”
“I’m glad you understand!” Johnny sighed in relief. “Shall we go? Buy whatever you want today.”
“Then I’ll spend a bit more.”
“Fine! As long as it’s not a pink outfit, you can buy as much as you want. I can also clear out the whole mall for you to choose from if necessary.”
Tilda shook her head helplessly. “No! Don’t make a big deal out of it.”
She was just saying it. She didn’t really intend to spend Johnny’s money!
Johnny and Tilda walked into the mall hand in hand. Instead of heading to the luxury stores, she decided to browse the regular clothing shops on the second and third floors on the second and third floors.
“You really don’t have to save money for me,” he reminded her.
“I just think luxury goods don’t suit me.” Actually, Tilda could afford luxury items. After all, she had Malcolm as a cousin, who could easily give her thousands of dollars in pocket money. But she believed that people should buy clothes that matched their status. She wasn’t part of high society, so who would she wear luxury items for?
As they shopped, Tilda felt thirsty. Johnny went to buy her some water.
She watched Johnny’s retreating figure and noticed several girls looking at him and even taking pictures with their phones.
It wasn’t surprising. His face was quite eye-catching.
But then, Tilda heard someone call Johnny’s name.
“Mr. Chow?”
Johnny instinctively looked over upon hearing his name-
The girl seemed familiar, but he couldn’t recall who she was.
He raised an eyebrow, holding two drinks in his hands. “You are?”
“It’s me, Talita! Don’t you remember? We met at Shady Night, then you took me to the hotel…”
In that instant, Johnny felt like every hair on his body stood on end.
He turned stiffly and saw Tilda staring in their direction with an unreadable expression.
Talita hadn’t noticed Tilda yet. She took out her wallet and smiled at Johnny. “The money you gave me last time-I wanted to find a chance to return it. I’m glad to see you here!”
