Chapter 1622: The Final Battle

Book:The Primus Of The Country Published:2025-3-4

Chris pursued his enemies relentlessly, chasing them all the way to the border of Great Lyria. His audacity drew the attention of over a hundred Aetherbinding cultivators from Great Lyria, who stepped forward to block his path.
Without hesitation, the group launched an all-out assault against Chris. Yet, wielding the Dragon Slayer in his hands, Chris showed no fear. He charged into the fray, battling fiercely against the Aetherbinding cultivators.
The scene left everyone watching in stunned disbelief.
Elias Dorneles and Alexandre Leite, both renowned as prodigies in the Aetherbinding world, were no exception. Though talented, they were still at the Pinnacle level. Neither would dare to plunge into enemy territory and face such overwhelming numbers.
“This Chris must have a death wish!” Alexandre scoffed, his voice dripping with disdain.
Elias, however, looked conflicted. “I can’t believe it. In less than a year, his strength has grown so much. What could he have gone through during this time to change so drastically?”
By now, Chris had already broken through the ranks of Great Lyria’s army.
Suddenly, the deep echo of a war horn pierced the air from the Amerosia forces.
From their ranks emerged Seraphina, clad in radiant white armor and mounted on a majestic steed. Her cold gaze swept over the battlefield as she issued her command:
“Relay my orders-Amerosia will launch a full-scale attack on Great Lyria. I will personally lead the charge!”
Her words sent shockwaves through the crowd.
Alexandre quickly stepped forward, protesting, “Princess of Monroe, you are of noble blood! How can you risk yourself on the front lines?”
Seraphina’s voice was icy and resolute. “Thorne Steelhart was rescued by Ethan Stone, and now Lindsay Windson has been captured. If we don’t fight with everything we have, how else can we save her?”
Both Elias and Alexandre were visibly stunned by this revelation.
The capture of Lindsay Windson was no small matter. A prodigy of the Jefferson family, Lindsay possessed the rare wood-element Soulseed. In a few short years, she would have reached the Solstice level, becoming a powerhouse in her own right. Any harm coming to her would be a devastating loss for the Jefferson family.
Elias frowned. “I’ve heard Ethan Stone is now the Grand Mentor of Great Lyria, and his strength has already reached Solstice level. Rescuing Lindsay won’t be easy.”
Alexandre, on the other hand, remained expressionless. Though both the Sword Clan and the Jefferson family hailed from Amerosia, they were bitter rivals. The competition for Aetherbinding resources was fierce, with each faction vying for supremacy.
Seraphina’s face darkened. “Enough with the nonsense! Relay my command-attack immediately. Anyone who disobeys will be executed without mercy!”
Her ruthless determination shocked the Amerosia generals.
For years, Amerosia had rarely ventured into Great Lyria’s territory, as the latter’s forces had grown increasingly formidable. The men of Great Lyria were known for their valor, and Amerosia had relied heavily on the impenetrable Shoreline Gate to fend off their advances.
But now, Seraphina’s order to invade Great Lyria was nothing short of madness.
Still, with her position as the supreme commander of Amerosia’s vanguard and her father holding the title of Lord Guardian, no one dared to question her authority.
Under her command, the Amerosia army launched a ferocious assault on Great Lyria’s forces.
Seraphina led the charge, her bravery igniting the morale of her troops. The soldiers of Amerosia, fearless and resolute, surged forward, clashing against the Great Lyria army.
What followed was a brutal and bloody battle.
“Kill!”
“Kill!”
“Kill!”
Amid the chaos, Seraphina wielded her longsword with deadly precision, cutting down countless Great Lyria soldiers. One by one, they fell at her feet, their lifeless bodies marking her path.
Her gaze darted across the battlefield, her expression tinged with urgency.
Chris had already plunged deep into the heart of the Great Lyria army.
Even a Solstice-level cultivator would hesitate to wade into the midst of tens of thousands of enemies. While Solstice cultivators were immensely powerful, they were not invincible. Once their inner energy was depleted, they would become vulnerable prey.
But Chris was not an Aetherbinding cultivator. His strength came not from inner energy but from the sheer power of his physical body.
Surrounded by over a thousand Aetherbinding cultivators, Chris faced an overwhelming onslaught.
Among his enemies were numerous Aether-level cultivators, but more troubling were the hundred Pinnacle-level elites. At the center of them all stood Ethan Stone, a Solstice-level powerhouse.
Ethan’s meteoric rise to Solstice level in just one year had left many baffled. His strength now posed a formidable challenge.
Chris found himself encircled, his every move met with fierce opposition. Against so many Pinnacle-level opponents, he began to falter.
“Kill!”
With a roar, Chris swung the Dragon Slayer, its blade carving a deadly arc through the air. Blow after blow, he fought with relentless ferocity, his movements blindingly fast.
Despite his injuries, Chris’s resilience was astounding. His Aragosti heritage granted him a miraculous ability to recover, his wounds visibly healing even as he fought on.
By now, he had slain nearly a hundred of the Aetherbinding cultivators, including several Pinnacle-level elites. However, the toll of the prolonged battle was beginning to show.
Suddenly, a powerful strike sent Chris flying backward.
“Ugh!”
Blood spurted from his mouth as he crashed to the ground. From all directions, more Aetherbinding cultivators closed in, leaving him with no escape.
If the battle continued like this, even Chris’s incredible strength would not save him.
Then, without warning, the tide shifted.
A shadow streaked across the battlefield like a flash of lightning.
“Ahhh!”
Screams filled the air as the shadow tore through the ranks of the Aetherbinding cultivators. One after another, they fell, unable to withstand its wrath.
It was Stripes-Chris’s loyal companion and spirit beast.
The mighty creature unleashed chaos, its razor-sharp claws tearing through a Pinnacle-level cultivator with ease.
