“She is stable but has not woken up.” Alejandro was already inside Jasira’s ward before the doctor could finish her sentence.
He stopped in his tracks seeing Jasira placed on a ventilator, she had a bandage around her head and another at her foot, and her arm.
Something tugged at his heart so that it hurt so much, that he folded his palm tightly so he wouldn’t grab his chest.
“What happened to her?” He asked with his gaze still on Jasira. His voice came out low.
“She lost a lot of blood and she is having conflict with her inner mind about waking up.”
“Specific date of when she is supposed to wake up.”
“It can be today if she responded to treatment or a week or a month and maybe a year.”
He snapped his head at her immediately, “What do you mean by that?”
“I… I boss.”
“Get out.” He thundered and she took to her heels immediately banging the door loudly on her way out not minding the patient sleeping in the clinic.
Alejandro’s gaze finally returned to Jasira lying on the bed and he felt a tug in his chest. Why didn’t she want to wake up? The reason glared at him but he didn’t want to accept that she hated him so much that she kept fighting with herself not waking up.
He took a seat beside her staring at her face, he hated this silent Jasira. He didn’t want to accept it but he missed having her by his side.
He sighed and finally did what he didn’t want to, he grabbed her hand in his and used his other hand to pat her hair.
“You should wake up, you are not allowed to die unless I let you.”
“Hey, I’m not joking.” He let out a small chuckle, he was really going crazy talking himself.
He should get going but every time he tried to stand up and leave the room he couldn’t do it, it was as if he left something important in the room.
It was at that moment he knew something was wrong with him.

Jasira blinked her eyes severally before she managed to get them open, earlier it was as if someone was urging her to wake up. How was that even possible?
She was still thinking when her eyes caught the familiar room and the memories of yesterday rushed to her head. She suddenly felt suffocated and the urge to remove the oxygen mask was huge.
She stopped on her track seeing that she couldn’t lift her unbandaged arm. She strained her eyes to see what was binding her.
Her eyes bulge out, if she was not exhausted she would have screamed. Alejandro was clutching her hand in his and placed it on his lap. His head was placed on the bed with his face facing her.
It is impossible for him to be in such a situation with her. Did he care? When was he here? A lot of questions in her head that she would never know the answer to.
She stared at him and she was reminded of how handsome he was again but then there was something else on his face.
He looked worn out, his skin was a bit dry and his full lips looked thin. Another person won’t notice of this but she, his personal slave knew everything about him.
His erratic breath became static and he shifted on the chair, she snapped her eyes closed seeing that he was waking up.
The weight on the bed decreased and the hold on her hand was released, the cold breeze brushed past her hand and she hated losing the warm feeling then she noticed movement in her hair.
She could stay like this forever with Alejandro patting her hair gently but she was tired of sleeping and was ready to open her eyes when she felt his soft lips on her lips.
She went still. What the fuck? Is this the same Alejandro she knew?
“Are you really not waking up even when I gave you permission to do so?”
Of course, he was the one, she could never forget his deep voice but then his words registered in her head.
“I’m going to kill you by myself if you keep lying down there.”
Yep, it’s him. Though his words might be like threat or too demanding but they warmed her heart and she was tired of closing her eyes and pretending.
She opened them slowly and they met with a pair of blue eyes staring sadly at her but the sadness was quickly replaced with shock.
His eyes lit up and he blinked twice to be sure she was awake. She chuckled removing the oxygen mask on her nose.
“Jasira,” He called. His voice was low and laced with shock.
“Alejandro,” She called back. Her voice was barely above whisper but Alejandro heard it clearly.
He sat there shocked and not been to say anything except her name. She was awake and he was damn happy.
“Omgoodness.” He suddenly yelled rising to his feet and moving closer to her, he hugged her close to his body. His action made her gasp surprised and blink severally wondering what was happening.
“You are… choking me.”
He released her immediately and looked away and another chuckle left her mouth. The almighty Alejandro was embarrassed.
“Help me up.”
“Of course.” He raised the bed and placed a pillow behind her back, Jasira wincing as he did that.
“Sorry.” He muttered.
When he was done, he could only stare at her not knowing what to say. The first time he was out of words. He didn’t know where to start though he had a lot to say.
“Jasira,”
“Alejandro,” They both called at the same time.
Jasira sighed, “Go on, my lord.” Alejandro was shocked even in her situation, she still referred to him as her lord.
“No Jasira, go on.” He insisted.
She raised a brow and she heard a low chuckle from him. Of course she
look absurd raising a brow with a bandaged forehead.
“It’s not funny.” She pouted but he shrugged his shoulder in pure amusement.
She was shocked at that but she wouldn’t let that forget what she was going to say.
“I want to go back to my previous life, I want to leave here.”
