Chapter 621: You Brought It Upon Yourself

Tilda discovered that Johnny was very skilled in sophistry.
Sometimes, he could even say something reasonable.
Johnny opened the trunk of the car, which was filled with gifts for Tilda’s parents.
She glanced at it and was speechless. It was one thing to give skincare products and fine wine, but who brought gold ornaments when meeting their girlfriend’s parents for the first time?!
“You’ll scare my parents with these gifts.”
With Johnny giving such gifts, not only her parents but anyone would suspect that she had done something improper to climb up the social ladder or become a mistress.
“Then tell me what to buy, and I’ll go get it now.” Johnny had no experience in this area. He never had to give gifts to anyone. On the contrary, people sent him gifts.
There was no precedent for giving gifts to a girlfriend’s parents either. None of his previous relationships had reached the point of meeting the parents.
“No need. My parents aren’t home right now. They’re probably visiting Howard. Let’s wait until they come back this evening and have dinner at a restaurant. Your treat.”
Tilda instinctively didn’t want Johnny to visit her home.
The house was too different from Johnny’s villa!
Even though she knew he didn’t care about such things and was aware of her family situation, she didn’t want her parents to feel inferior.
Seeing her relent, Johnny happily nodded.
“Alright, I’ll follow your arrangement! Just let my parents know when you want both families to meet, and they’ll cooperate.”
Tilda nodded, feeling grateful from the bottom of her heart. “Your parents are really wonderful. It’s clear they love each other very much.”
Johnny opened the passenger door for her, waited for her to sit inside, then walked around to the driver’s seat.
“My dad doesn’t have a great temper, but he’s rarely angry with my mom. He’s only strict with me.” He smiled as he reached out his long arm and pulled Tilda towards him before pressing his thin lips against hers.
The kiss caught Tilda off guard. She instinctively struggled but then remembered that Johnny was now her boyfriend.
He deliberately didn’t let go, deepening the kiss and exploring her mouth as if wanting to absorb all her sweetness.
When the kiss ended, Tilda’s fair face was flushed.
“You will feel shy!” Johnny said in a deliberately low voice, his tone hoarse with desire. “Hmm?”
“Weren’t you going to take me shopping? If we don’t leave now, I’m going back.”
“Don’t be mad.”
Johnny smiled as he turned his gaze back and started the engine, but the car didn’t move.
Tilda turned to look at him. “What’s wrong?”
The smug look on Johnny’s face turned into a wry smile.
“I regret kissing you just now.”
“Why?”
He grabbed Tilda’s hand and guided it towards himself.
The heat from his body radiated through the fabric of his pants into Tilda’s palm…
“What do you think?”
Tilda pulled her hand back as if electrocuted and glared at him. “You brought it upon yourself!”
“Mm… You’re right. Let me calm down… I can’t drive right now.”
Tilda originally wanted to tease him more, but seeing him genuinely uncomfortable made her reconsider.
“Johnny, how about…”
“Don’t talk to me! I’ll be fine soon.”
