Alicia’s POV
“Look at me, Alicia.” She said as she held my arms. “This is none of your business, and you don’t want to get involved with it. The moment you satisfy your curiosity, it might be late already, Alicia.” She said in a calm tone as she looked at me.
I felt myself get weak instantly as I looked away. She was right but then, how could I forget the stranger from earlier today, Jayson Holmes?” I rolled my eyes as I forced out a smile as I looked at her.
“Okay, fine. I won’t get involved.” I mumbled as I looked at her.
“I know you, Alicia. I know you can be very stubborn at times.” She scowled as she looked at me.
“Promise me you won’t get involved in any of these?” She asked again as she raised up her pinky finger as she wore a broad smile on her face. “Promise me, Alicia.”
“Fine, I promise.” I responded as I brought out my pinky finger as she broke it before embracing me warmly.
“So, how is madam Cassie?” I asked as I looked at her. “How did your day go today?” I asked with a smile as I maintained my eye contact with her.
“About the bar? And Cassie herself, I don’t think there is anything new for now.” She whined as she looked away.
She walked down to her wardrobe as she arranged her clothes inside the wardrobe.
“So, what are your plans? How long do you intend to work as Logan’s personal assistant?” She asked as she looked at me.
I turned to her as I looked at her. “For now, I don’t know yet. I still need to get an apartment of my own and you know that too.” I mumbled as I rolled my eyes.
“Oh! About that, you know you can stay here as long as you want, Alicia.” She muttered, as she wore a broad smile while she looked at me.
“Come on, Amelia. You know I am not getting any younger. How long do you expect me to stay here? I need to get an apartment for myself, no matter how small it is.” I said with a smile as I looked at her. “You don’t have to carry my burden always, Amelia.” I shrugged as I looked at her.
“Come on, Alicia.” She shrugged as she looked at me. “You know you are not a burden, and you have never been one to me.” She whined as she wore a smile now. “We have always been like sisters, always, Alicia.” She muttered as she looked at me.
I looked at her as I remained quiet. I forced out a smile as I looked at her. “There you go again, Amelia. Always the caring one. The sister I wasn’t opportune to have.” I whimpered as I walked up to where she was, then I hugged her.
We remained there for a while as we stayed quiet.
***Jayson’s POV***
I walked inside my apartment as I looked around the room. I still couldn’t get my mind off the stranger I had met from earlier.
“Who is he? And how does he know a lot about us already?” I groaned as I paced about my room, as I kept staring at the frames that hung out the wall.
I heard his voice echoing in my head as I found it impossible to get rid of.
I couldn’t wait to see Judith after the years of being away, and just as Logan despised me the moment he saw me, I knew Judith was definitely going to hate the sight of me already.
I growled angrily as I used my werewolf speed, then I got up close to the wall as I punched the wall repeatedly, while I felt my heartbeat in an unsteady pattern.
I wanted one thing and that was to find Liam’s killer but then, the stranger I met at the bar was another person I couldn’t get my mind off.
He had this mysterious aura all over him, and I couldn’t help but remain unsettled about him. I had sent my personal Intel to track him down and get me every little detail about him.
{Phone beeps}
“Hello, Mason. Guess it is time to welcome you back to New Kingston once more.” I said with a broad smile as I walked down to the cabinet where the flower vase laid.
I picked up one of the rose flowers as I looked at it, rubbing the petal gently as I maintained my smiley face.
He was my right hand man and ever since I left New Kingston years back, he has always been there for me, and keeping me safe.
One thing was certain, things were soon about to change in the six founding families.
“Good evening, Jayson. I have been working meticulously for an hour now, and the young man you met earlier must really be a mysterious man. Till now, I have no trace of him.” Mason shrugged.
I furrowed my eyebrows as I dropped the rose back. I couldn’t bring myself to understand why Mason couldn’t get a hold of him yet.
“What do you mean by nothing yet about him? We need to know who he is. I guess the table is quickly turning against us.” I cursed as I remembered the statement I had made to Alicia Carlson when we first met.
“Is there anything at all? Anything we could use to track him down?” I questioned him.
“Massachusetts, five years ago. Tennessee, four years ago. He is from a lowlife family, a long lineage of omegas and currently, no story about any of his family members. Last family member, Dahlia, both of their records ended in Tennessee and till now, nothing yet.”
“Dahlia Morgan?” I gasped as I could recall the incident that happened years ago in Massachusetts.
I furrowed my eyebrows as I tried fixing the puzzle together. If Collins Morgan is back to New Kingston, then Dahlia should be here. “He is here for only one thing, he is here for revenge.” I mumbled as I hung up.
