Chapter 22 Twenty Two

Book:The Omega's Three Possessive Alpha Mates Published:2025-2-25

Sara’s POV
The two of them look at me expectantly. It almost makes me want to bolt…and then I’m saved when the door opens and Kai walks into the room. He is carrying a tray loaded with food.
“You should eat,” I say to Christianas if he needs me to tell him. But that’s my get-away card, and I leave the room before any of them can steer us back into the conversation.
I’ll have to tell them the truth at some point, but maybe I can wait a little longer. Besides, Christian is wounded right now. There’s no need to cause trouble when he needs to rest and heal.
In the morning, I stay in my room until I’m sure everyone has already left for class. Christian might have been hurt and poisoned last night, but he is a strong Alpha. Unlike me, he’s capable of healing fast.
It’s been a while since I avoided them, but then again, it’s been a while since I faced hostility from all three of them. Whatever happens, I have to tell them the truth soon. That way, I don’t have to field accusations of being a tramp anymore.
My first class for the day isn’t my favouriteI share this one with Eddie. Sure, he hasn’t made a move to take revenge yet, but that could also be because I share this class with all three of my roommates.
Since we made a deal for them to stop bullying me, they kind of made it clear that no one was supposed to bother me. But now that they are all mad at me, I wonder whether that marks the end of the silent protectiveness I’ve been enjoying.
When I walk into the class, I notice them immediately. They are seated at the same table, like three best friendsand their eyes are on me.
Even with the distance, I can sense the hostility in their gazes. It makes me wonderwill revealing the fact that I have mate bonds with all of them turn them against each other…or all of them against me? You know…bros before hoes? Even though it’s none of my fault that I happen to be fated to all of them.
For now, I need to stay away from them. I take a seat on the other side of the room, far away from them, and out of their line of sight. For the next two hours that the class takes, I can pretend I don’t have three Alphas probably planning my demise.
When the class is about to begin, the president makes an announcement on the PA system. The moment I hear his voice, I freeze and break into a sweat simultaneously.
But then he talks about Christian’s incident in the forest. He announces that dead rogues were found in the forest, and wants anyone with information about the incident to report to the office.
When class ends, Levi, Christian and Kai leave the room together in a hurry. Thinking they want to discuss about Christian’s incident, I hurry after them. But before I can get to the door, someone steps in front of me, blocking my path.
I look up impatiently, but take a step back when I see who it is. Eddie. Dammit. I swallow and try to look past him, see whether I can get a glimpse of the guys…but they are gone.
“What do you want?” I ask Eddie, injecting as much courage as I can into my voice. False courage.
“We have some unfinished business,” he says.
“Can we talk about this some other time?” I ask him. “I have somewhere to be.”
I yelp when he wraps his hand around my forearm and turns towards the exit, pulling me with him.
“What are you doing?” I snap, trying to release my arm from his grip.
“Shut up,” he orders, dragging me out of the class and towards the stairs. He brings me upstairs to the door leading to the rooftop. He opens it and shoves me through the door, and then walks onto the rooftop after me.
Rubbing my bruised arm, I glare at him. “Look, I was supposed to serve you for three hours, and they are long gone. What do you want from me?”
“Because you ran away back then, did you think you could get away from me forever?” he asks, stalking towards me.
I move back, getting away from him. But that also takes me farther from the door. But what other choice do I have? I can’t get past him. Not without a fight, and I’m no match for him.
As the panic rises in my chest, it occurs to me that Kai, Levi, and Christian should be able to feel my distress. Like that day, when Levi saved me from Victor. The thought relaxes me a little. I just need to stall him from doing whatever he has in mind, and one of them will get here soon.
Sure, they are mad at me, but they are still having their little competition, so who is to say they won’t trip over each other trying to be my knight in shining armour?
“You had your mate,” I tell him “why did you want me to serve you?” I’m not even remotely interested in his motivations. I just want to keep him talking…occupied with anything other than his revenge plans.
“I’ll show you why,” he says, his eyes fixated on me as he keeps getting closer. My back hits a wall, and I quickly step away from it.
“I hear you don’t have any qualms about messing around with males. So I thought you and me could have a little fun.” A creepy smile covers his face as he reaches for his belt. I think am going to be sick.
My eyes flicker to the door, but it doesn’t open. Nobody appears. Not Levi, or Christian, or Kai. If they can feel my distress, they don’t care. I feel stupid for thinking, for even a second, that they would care that I was in trouble.
