Chapter 11 Eleven

For a moment, Sara thought she was hallucinating. That her imagination had taken a step further and conjured up the man in her thoughts in front of her.
But no, he was real.
What was he doing in her dorm? How had he found her?
As she clutched the shower curtain to hide partially behind the material, it occurred to her.
He was her third roommate. The roommate she was yet to meet yet.
Unless she was wrong, and he was here because he had stalked her.
“What are you doing here?” she asked, her fingers tightening around the curtain fabric. He had closed the door behind him and walked into the room, his destination clear. The shower cubicle. His crimson eyes scanned what little of her body showed, and it was enough to send shivers skittering throughout her body. That, and a longing that made her pelvic muscles clench.
“I live here,” he replied, coming to a halt just a couple of feet from the shower curtain. If he reached out, he could tug the material from her grip.
Sara swallowed and nodded. What kind of a coincidence was this? To find herself sharing a dorm with three handsome male werewolves, with two of them being her mates.
She never would have expected things to go this way when she was sentenced to stay at North Academy.
Both in being stuck with three male roommates and finding a mate-leave alone two!
Now, finally, the picture was complete.
There was Kai, who looked kind and noble, but was anything but. If he was being nice to you, it meant he wanted to sleep with you, nothing more.
And then there was Christian, who was as cold as a frozen iceberg. A single glance from him was enough to freeze the blood in your veins, and Sara was positive he didn’t care about anyone or anything…except perhaps his gun.
And now, there was…
Was…
“What’s your name?” she questioned the guy, realising he was yet to introduce himself. She wondered whether he had known that she was his roommate. Whether he knew who she was, and why she was at North Academy.
“Levi,” he replied, his eyes narrowing. “Alpha of Silver Creek.”
Ah, of course. He was an Alpha. Just like Christian and Kai. North Academy was truly where the powerful werewolf families exiled their troublesome kids, wasn’t it?
She wondered what the three of them had done to end up there. Christian had probably shot someone with his gun. Kai and Levi’s transgressions were anyone’s guess.
Some part of her was aware that the normal thing to do was to ask him to leave. But it was a very small part, one that stood zero chance against the desire that was quickly consuming her.
Her breath quickened, and she could hear the blood rush in her ear as her heart thundered away in her chest.
Maybe he could hear it too.
She couldn’t help the attraction, and she realised that this bond was way more powerful than what she had had with Victor. It had been so easy to keep Victor at bay, even when he tried to seduce her. But Levi…all he had to do was look at her and it was as if electricity zapped between them.
“Shut off the water,” he instructed.
“Wh…what?” she stammered, even though she heard him clearly.
“The water,” he said, taking a step closer. He lifted his hand, and going for the rail, pushed the shower curtain aside. The fabric slipped from her fingers easily.
Her body moved as though on autopilot. She shut off the water and turned to face him.
He stepped into the shower cubicle, his body blocking the entryway. He was so…so tall and breathtaking and-
Her eyes widened when her hand appeared between them, headed for his face. She snapped it back right away.
She must be crazy. What was she doing? She had no idea what kind of guy he was, yet here she was, naked, dying to touch him. Kiss him. Do unspeakable things to him. Sure, he was her mate, but-
“Why did you stop?” he asked, a hard edge to his voice.
She drew her eyes from him, plastered her gaze to the wall. Maybe her brain would restart if she stopped looking at his gorgeousness. “I…you-”
“I can smell your need.”
She jumped on the spot as his voice came from right next to her ear, his breath caressing her skin.
“I’m your mate, why are you fighting it?”
She swallowed, taking a step that left her back plastered to the wall behind her.
“Kiss him,” Edna suggested.
Sara bit down on her lip. She badly wanted to do as Edna suggested. That, and so much more.
But…
She gasped as he brought his lips lower until they brushed against the side of her neck. He moved them up and down, and then along her shoulder, where he nipped her skin gently.
His warmth surrounded her, like a cosy blanket that she wanted to wrap herself in, forever.
Another heavy exhale rushed out of her mouth as his hand rested on her chest, cupping her breast. She arched into him, pressing her soft flesh into his touch. He toyed with her hardened nipples between his thumb and forefinger, twisting the small nub. Shots of pleasure travelled straight to the apex of her legs, driving her arousal higher.
She had to stop this, soon, or she was going to end up having sex with him when she wasn’t even sure whether she wanted to mate him or not.
She had spent three years getting to know Victor, and he had betrayed her in the end. How stupid would it be to blindly allow Levi into her life when she had no idea what type of man he was? He probably didn’t know who she was and what she was accused of. If he did, he would think twice about claiming her as his.
Using her last remaining bits of self-control, she placed a hand on his chest and pushed him. He didn’t budge.
“Stop,” she whispered, her voice weak, her words sounding forced.
“Why?” Levi asked, frowning. He couldn’t understand what was wrong. She obviously wanted him, so why was she stopping him?
“I…I can’t,” she whispered.
His hand went still on her chest as he drew his head back to look at her face. “You said you are not afraid of me,” he reminded her.
“I…I’m not,” she stammered.
“Do you hate me, then?”
“No, I…I don’t even know you, what would I hate you for?”
“We are mates, isn’t that enough?”
Sara shook her head. She wasn’t going to let him talk her into this. Yes, they were mates, and they were inevitably attracted to each other. But she cared about loyalty, and she had already learned simply having a mate bond didn’t ensure that.
“No,” she whispered.
He stepped back, separating their bodies entirely. When she looked up to meet his gaze, it was as if a fiery storm was raging in his eyes, wanting to consume her.
His brows came down over his eyes. “Do you mean to reject me?” he asked.
She shook her head again. “No, I…let’s get to know each other first.”
He held her gaze for a few more seconds before scoffing out loud and turning away from her.
He stepped out of the shower cubicle, and she released a breath. If he walked away now, it would all be okay.
Because no matter what she said, she knew that if he came back and put his hands on her, hell, if he so much as gazed at her, she would throw herself at him. Let him finish what he had started.
Levi turned back to her, but before he could say something, the bathroom door opened.
Sara’s eyes widened as Kai stepped into the bathroom. The shower curtain was still pushed aside, so he could see her. His eyes went straight past Levi and towards her, and her breath caught in her throat as their gazes met.
Levi growled and started making his way towards the door, ready to kick Kai out.
As Levi walked away, a moan, one of both protest and longing, slipped past Sara’s lips.
It was loud enough that it carried across the room, getting the attention of both males.
