202: Finally, a Lead on My Brother

Book:Billionaire's Regret: Finding Her Published:2025-2-25

“Good! Get that guy!”
Sebastian had secretly learned that Caitlin had arranged for someone to investigate the human trafficker, George, in the black market to find her brother, Harrison. After receiving this news, he had his people get involved, and now they finally had a lead.
If he could help Caitlin find Harrison, it would surely mean a lot to her.
At DanCa Estate, Caitlin had a private conversation with Zeke.
Regarding Caitlin and Sebastian’s marriage, Zeke no longer wished to dwell on it, but now, he needed to ask her a question. “Since you and Sebastian are divorced again, doesn’t that mean you should give me a chance?”
“I’m sorry, I’ve told you many times, I really can’t.”
Caitlin had no feelings for him, and there was no way she could force herself into something. “Though I appreciate what you and the Sienna and Teresa sisters did for me back then, saving me and my children, I can repay you by working for you. But other than that, I really can’t do it.”
She didn’t love him. Gratitude wasn’t enough for her to be with him.
From the start, she had only seen him as a senior brother, as family, not as a lover.
“I understand.”
Zeke felt hurt, but he wasn’t willing to give up. Why could Sebastian win her heart when he couldn’t?
“You’re rejecting me because of Sebastian, aren’t you?”
“It has nothing to do with him.”
“Don’t lie to me! You and he have had a relationship and four kids. I know part of your reason for coming back to the country was because of him.”
Caitlin didn’t play games with him. Since he was insistent, she admitted it.
“Fine, I admit it, it’s because of him! But he is the father of my children! You and everyone else saved me, but I can only repay one of you.”
Caitlin had said everything she needed to say, and now she tried to advise him. “Zeke, you shouldn’t waste your time on me. So many good girls like you. You should consider them…”
“Don’t say any more, I understand.”
Zeke sighed deeply. Then, he looked at the woman who was so firm and composed and said, “Caitlin, no matter what you decide, as long as you’re not remarried, I still have the right to protect you.”
Seeing how stubborn he was, Caitlin wanted to say something, but just then, her phone rang.
“Sorry, I need to take this.”
Caitlin stood up to answer the call, and Zeke stared at her back, silently swearing. He wasn’t going to give up easily. He wouldn’t just let the woman he had cared for all these years slip away to Sebastian. The competition between him and Sebastian was only just beginning.
The call was from Sebastian. After Caitlin listened, her face turned serious. “What? Okay! I’ll be right there!”
She hung up and quickly told Zeke, “Stay here and help me watch the kids. I need to go out.”
With that, she hurried out the door and drove off.
When Caitlin arrived, Sebastian’s men had already captured George.
“Sebastian, where is George?”
Caitlin asked, her heart racing with excitement.
Quincy and the others had been investigating for days with no leads, but Sebastian had managed to find him.
“Inside!”
Sebastian led her into a villa, which turned out to be George’s mistress’s house. He didn’t live there permanently, only visiting once a month.
Caitlin saw George bound up like a dumpling in the living room. His huge gold chain around his neck looked like a dog leash, and he was groaning on the floor. The man in front of her was indeed the one in the photo Anthony had provided.
“Is this George?” Caitlin asked.
Tyler answered, “Yes, Caitlin. This is him. We’ve already verified his identity and tracked him for several days!”
“George!”
Caitlin walked over, grabbed his hair, and yanked his head back hard.
“Ah!”
George screamed in pain and fear. “Why are you doing this? I haven’t offended you!”
“You haven’t offended me? George! You bastard! When my brother was five, it was you who took him away! Where is he? Tell me!”
Caitlin tugged on his scalp with all her might. George was almost in tears from the pain. “I don’t know… Who’s your brother?”
He was telling the truth; they trafficked so many people, he had no idea who her brother was.
“He’s called Harrison! The son of the LIG CEO! Eighteen years ago, a man named Anthony hired you to take the child. Where did you send him? Think carefully! If you can’t remember, I’ll start peeling your scalp off!”
Caitlin showed him a photo of her brother and demanded he look closely.
George still couldn’t remember. “I… I really can’t remember…”
Caitlin tossed him aside and ordered Sebastian’s men, “Beat him up! Beat him until he remembers!”
She sat down on the nearby sofa and watched as Tyler and his team kicked and punched George.
George rolled on the floor, howling in pain. Suddenly, a woman came running out of the house, pleading, “Don’t hit him! Please don’t hit him!”
Then a young boy followed, crying in fear.
Caitlin ordered them to stop. “George, this woman is your mistress, right? This child is your son! You better start talking, or I’ll get cruel and take it out on your woman and child!”
George had no choice and finally relented, “Don’t hurt them! I’ll talk! I think I remember now… Give me some time! Let me check! I have records!”
He called for his wife, asking her to check the records.
Their trafficking operation had grown into a large-scale business that, on the surface, dealt with import-export, but in reality, it was all about human trafficking. They kept records of all the people they sold, and George’s wife was responsible for storing the files.
After over an hour of searching, she finally found the records from 18 years ago.
“Here! Here it is!”
George shouted, and Tyler grabbed the phone and handed it to Caitlin. Sebastian leaned in to take a look as well.
On the phone was George’s ugly handwriting, noting the transaction date from 18 years ago. The name of the child was Harrison.
Seeing Harrison’s name, Caitlin’s heart ached, and her eyes welled up with tears.
Finally, there was a lead on her brother!
She scrolled further down and saw where the child was sent. He had been given to a man in V Country named Brian Lee .
“Brian Lee ! If we find Brian Lee , we’ll find my brother!”
Caitlin said excitedly to Sebastian.
“I’ll send someone to find him. We’ll have news soon.”
Sebastian handed the phone to Tyler. “Get going! Report back the moment you have any updates!”
“Yes!”
Tyler took a photo of the records and asked, “What should we do with George?”
