“Once your eyes are healed, try to get close to Zora. Maybe you can learn something about the kids from her.”
Sebastian frowned upon hearing this. “You mean, I should use my charm?”
“Only if absolutely necessary. But if it helps, then why not?” Caitlin took a deep breath. “From what I know, Miss Zora seemed to have shown interest in you before. So, if you approach her, you’ll likely have the best chance.”
“…”
Sebastian thought for a moment before nodding. “Alright. If you want to get something, you have to take risks. I’ll handle the search for our daughter. Trust me, if that’s really our daughter, I’ll find her.”
He placed a hand on Caitlin’s shoulder, his expression determined and serious.
For all these years, he hadn’t done enough for Caitlin and the kids. Now it was time for him to step up!
“Okay,” Caitlin nodded, feeling comforted by Sebastian’s words. It made her feel like she wasn’t alone in this fight-her heart felt lighter, as if there was a new strength inside her.
As they finished discussing the plan, Xavi arrived with Sebastian’s clothes. After Sebastian changed, Caitlin told him it was time to go back.
“Let Xavi take you home.”
“Zeke is still here. Why do I have to leave?” Sebastian was reluctant. His three sons and wife were here. Now that his rival had arrived, how could he leave so easily?
“I told you, if you stay here, I’m worried he might not hold back and hit you.”
Caitlin was looking out for him.
“Afraid of him? I just can’t see right now. Once my eyes are better, let’s see if he dares to act so arrogantly.”
Sebastian snorted, his expression full of defiance and disdain.
“Alright, go back for now!”
Caitlin urged him to go downstairs.
Downstairs, Bruce and Arthur both came running as soon as they saw Zeke. Arthur immediately embraced Zeke and started playing with him. Bruce stood by his side. Only Howard, who seemed more reserved, sat on the other side.
Zeke looked at Howard and said, “You must be Howard. Come here to your uncle.”
Zeke wanted to build a good relationship with this little guy too, but Howard simply stared at him with suspicion and didn’t approach.
At that moment, Sebastian came downstairs and heard Zeke calling his son over. He quickly called Howard, “Howard!”
Upon hearing his father’s call, Howard got up and ran over to him, hugging Sebastian’s leg.
If Howard could talk, he would probably tell his father, “Mommy has a handsome, unfamiliar uncle visiting, and this uncle is trying to steal Mommy from Daddy. What should we do?”
Sebastian gently patted his son’s little head and said, “Howard, Daddy has to leave for now. Stay with Mommy and listen to her. You need to protect Mommy, okay?”
Actually, Sebastian was subtly hinting to his son that he should keep an eye on things and make sure Zeke didn’t take advantage of the situation.
Howard nodded. Sebastian then called the other two kids, “Bruce? Arthur? I’m your father. Could you come over for a moment?”
“No!” Bruce refused outright.
“I don’t want to!” Arthur echoed.
Zeke was very pleased with the kids’ reactions and praised, “Good boys, just like their dad!”
His words made Sebastian frown deeply. “Zeke! I won’t argue with you out of respect for you being Caitlin’s senior, but you better watch your words! They are MY sons!”
Sebastian once again emphasized his ownership!
The children were his and Caitlin’s, and Zeke had no right to act like he could take them.
“But I raised them. They’re closest to me!” Zeke boasted.
It’s true that the child who raised them would naturally be closest, but only Howard stuck with his father, while the other two were clearly more inclined toward Zeke, likely hoping Caitlin and Zeke would marry soon.
“…”
Sebastian’s anger was building. He couldn’t wait for his eyes to heal-once they did, Zeke wouldn’t be able to act so cocky in front of him!
As Zeke continued to show off his bond with the children, Sebastian was determined to turn the tables.
Suddenly, he sucked in a sharp breath, clutching one of his eyes. “Caitlin, Caitlin! Quickly help me, something’s in my eye!”
Caitlin hurried over to check his eye and gently blew on it. Afterward, she reminded him, “Make sure to use your eye drops once you get home.”
“I know. Your breath works wonders. It doesn’t hurt anymore.”
Their interaction was fully observed by Zeke, and his gaze darkened as he felt even more frustrated.
“Alright, hurry up and go home!” Caitlin helped Sebastian into the car, watching as it drove off before heading back inside.
Sebastian had left DanCa Estate, but he didn’t regret it. He had just learned he had three more children, which was the best news he could have gotten.
He felt like in his past life, he must have not only saved the galaxy but the whole universe. How else could he explain his immense luck?
But the thought that his two sons were so close to Zeke made Sebastian feel frustrated.
For now, he had to be patient. He believed that, in time, he would win his children’s hearts back.
By the time Sebastian returned to the Vanderbilt estate, his eyesight had already fully recovered.
This was one of his unique traits-what would take others days to heal, he only needed a few hours.
Unfortunately, he had returned too early. If he’d stayed at DanCa Estate just a little longer, he would have been able to see the kids.
Molly had been waiting at the door for a long time. As soon as she saw him get out of the car, she ran over to greet him.
“Your eyes are fine now? I’ve been waiting for you forever! You’re finally back! Hurry up, Grandma’s waiting for you!”
Molly was overjoyed. She had heard from Xavi that Caitlin had given birth to triplets.
Oh my God!
They couldn’t believe it!
Molly walked with Sebastian into the main hall of the house. “Grandma, he’s back!”
Beatrice stood up excitedly when she saw her grandson, asking, “Sebastian, is it true? Caitlin didn’t just have Howard? I heard there are two other kids-are they really triplets?”
Beatrice had been smiling non-stop ever since she heard the news.
“Grandma, it’s not triplets.”
“What? Not triplets?”
Seeing Beatrice’s disappointment, Sebastian quickly added, “Actually, it’s quadruplets.”
“What?”
“Quadruplets?”
Beatrice and Molly both gasped in unison.
“Are you serious? Four of them?”
Molly was in shock. She had already been amazed when she heard about triplets, but now to learn it was quadruplets-this was beyond belief! The Vanderbilt family must have hit the jackpot!
“Yes, I just got confirmation today. Caitlin gave birth to four children for me. Three boys, and the youngest is a girl. The three boys look exactly alike. The child you took to The Xenos Family last time wasn’t Howard, but Bruce-the second one.”
“Ah, no wonder we thought the kids were changing so much lately. So it wasn’t just one child.”
Beatrice wiped away happy tears. “Thank God! Our Vanderbilt family just gained a few more great-grandchildren! This is wonderful! When can we meet them?”
“Don’t worry, Grandma. Once you’ve celebrated your birthday, I’ll bring them over.”
Sebastian was confident that this day would come soon. He would make sure of it.
After exiting the main hall, Sebastian began assigning the task of investigating Zeke and their daughter’s whereabouts.
Meanwhile, Tyler reported, “Mr. Vanderbilt, we found George’s whereabouts!”
