Chapter 13: He Held Me

God, this couldn’t be real. I had already shrunk into this corner, wearing the uniform of a club staff member. The dark blue work clothes hung loosely on me, making me look especially bulky. Maybe I should wear a mask next time.
Still, there was no way Kael could recognize me!
But he walked straight toward me.
My heart began to race, filled with the kind of unease a thief might feel when caught. The pounding in my chest grew faster, and the buzzing in my ears intensified as he approached. I hated this feeling. Why was I so weak?
Soon, Kael was standing right in front of me, staring. “Seraph, what are you doing here? Are you working here?”
It was strange. He had spotted me from afar, and without even confirming, he knew it was me.
“What a coincidence,” I said, gripping the broom tightly, trying to appear calm.
I also noticed the other members who had been training nearby. Their eyes were fixed on us now, filled with curiosity, and they had even started whispering among themselves. That was understandable. Kael was a star, so he drew attention wherever he went.
But I didn’t want this kind of attention. I hated it!
“You’re working here?”
“Yes, it’s my first day,” I replied, avoiding his gaze. I just wanted to turn and leave.
“That means we’ll be seeing each other often!” Kael smiled, looking genuinely happy.
Was he thinking that now that I worked here, he could mess with me? He had been willing to date me for Vivienne’s sake, and now that he’d found me working here part-time, he must have already planned how to deal with me.
Damn it. I bit my lip, the sharp pain helping to keep my emotions in check.
I hoped he wouldn’t bring Vivienne to the club, but given how close they were, she’d probably show up eventually…
“Yes,” I answered curtly, not wanting to engage with Kael any further.
My coldness seemed to hurt him. His deep brown eyes, once filled with joy, now carried a hint of sadness.
He sighed. “Seraphina, I hope you’ll consider what I said. I’m not giving up on you.”
“I think my stance is clear,” I said, meeting his gaze. The pain in my heart grew as I rejected him again, but I knew it was for the best.
He looked wounded, his gentle eyes now filled with sorrow. He ran a hand through his hair roughly.
“Fine.”
He turned and walked away, shooing the onlookers. “Get back to training! The competition is coming up. What are you all staring at?!”
I breathed a sigh of relief. This was how it should be-he focused on his business, and I on mine. We shouldn’t have any contact.
I didn’t want to be a plaything for him and Vivienne. I needed to resist with all my strength.
But my eyes were still drawn to Kael.
I watched as he stripped off his shirt and stepped into the ring.
Even though I’d seen it many times before, I couldn’t help but be mesmerized by his physique. His body was impossibly perfect, unlike any ordinary person’s.
His muscles were firm and well-defined, exuding raw power. His broad shoulders were wrapped in muscle, giving him a towering presence. As he moved, his muscles rippled, showcasing their strength and beauty.
His chest was full, leading down to a chiseled eight-pack. I had felt those abs in bed-his core was strong, giving him incredible flexibility and control. It had brought me intense pleasure.
The deep V-line of his Adonis belt disappeared into his boxing shorts. Even though his lower half was covered, the outline of his erect penis was faintly visible, straining against the fabric.
All of this made me uncontrollably recall what had happened those two nights.
His penis had been so thick, stretching my whole being wide apart as he entered. He had thrust deep into me, as if trying to reach my womb. Our tongues had danced together, exchanging saliva. His hands had explored every inch of my body, leaving marks on my skin. And my nails had scratched his back.
Even though we didn’t love each other, we had been so in sync in bed.
Now, as he stood with his back to me, I noticed the scratches on his back. Were those from me?
Just thinking about it made my body feel weak, and I nearly dropped the broom.
At that moment, Kael suddenly turned and looked at me.
A flash of golden light passed through his eyes, and my body trembled as if struck by electricity.
God, just one look from him had nearly brought me to climax!
I forced myself to stay composed, looking away and taking a deep breath to calm down.
When I glanced back, Kael had already started training.
My mind was filled with questions. Why had there been a golden light in his eyes? Didn’t anyone else notice it? Wouldn’t they have the same question?
As I cleaned up the trash, I watched Kael in the ring. He didn’t seem to be training seriously-more like he was coaching someone else.
His opponent attacked fiercely, throwing a jab at Kael’s left cheek, but Kael simply dodged without countering. He moved with the fluidity he was known for.
“Phillip, you’ll never hit me like that,” Kael said. “You’ve got power and speed, but no technique.”
He looked completely at ease, and before either Phillip or I could react, he threw a punch.
“Wow, how did you do that?” Phillip stared at the fist in front of his face. I was sure that in a real match, that punch would have sent him flying.
“Practice more. It’ll make you stand out.”
I couldn’t help but feel like those words were meant for me. I rolled my eyes.
Phillip was already drenched in sweat, throwing rapid combinations, but Kael dodged every one. He was exhausted, panting like a dog.
The next person stepped up, but the result was the same.
Kael was like a professional sparring partner, guiding them on how to attack and defend. He only struck at critical moments.
After several rounds, Kael’s stamina seemed unaffected, while the others were completely drained.
I was amazed. Kael’s endurance was beyond imagination. He barely broke a sweat, unlike the others who were gasping for air.
The training session ended around 5 PM, and everyone dispersed.
I had to wait until they were all gone before I could finish cleaning the area.
I was nervous, worried that Kael might come back for me. Thankfully, he left with the other boxers.
The gym was empty now. I went under the ring to clean up, and later, I’d have to sweep the ring itself to ensure it was spotless for their training and matches.
As I was cleaning, my heart suddenly started racing again, and a strange ringing filled my ears. Instinctively, I turned around.
Before I could react, someone pulled me into his arms.
The heat of his body felt like it was melting me. The familiar scent of his cologne enveloped me completely.
His muscular frame was hard and unyielding, pressing against me uncomfortably.
I pushed against him but couldn’t break free.
Kael’s lips brushed against my ear as he whispered in a low, husky voice:
“Seraphina, I want to fuck you.”
