Reyna’s POV
I stirred, blinking slowly as my surroundings came into focus. The room was dimly lit, the air heavy with a faint metallic scent that made my nose twitch. As I tried to sit up, I realized my hands and legs weren’t bound. That surprised me I wasn’t exactly a captive, or so it seemed.
The events of earlier began to flood back, and my heart sank. The van, the masked men, and the searing pain in my shoulder from the tranquilizer they all came back in vivid flashes.
“Who were those men?” I muttered under my breath, my voice hoarse.
I tried to reach out to my wolf, to feel her power surge through me, but something was wrong. There was nothing. Just silence. Panic rose in my chest, and I looked around the room for answers. My eyes landed on the counter nearby, where several silver blades and small vials of wolfsbane were arranged neatly.
“Of course,” I whispered bitterly, realizing why my wolf was silent. The silver and wolfsbane in this room weren’t here by accident they were here to weaken me.
Before I could process what to do next, the door creaked open. My breath hitched as Diane strolled in, her posture casual yet exuding an air of authority.
“Diane,” I breathed, my voice laced with disbelief. My muscles tensed as anger surged through me.
She didn’t seem fazed by my reaction, her lips curving into a smug smile. “Well, hello to you too, Reyna.”
I didn’t think I lunged at her, fists raised, ready to make her regret whatever game she was playing. But she moved faster than I anticipated, shoving me back with a surprising amount of strength. I stumbled, landing awkwardly against the wall.
“Watch it,” she sneered, her tone cold and sharp. “You’re not in your precious little pack anymore. Here, I’m the boss, and I can treat you however I please.”
I glared at her, my chest heaving with fury. “What do you want from me, Diane? Why are you doing this?”
Her laughter was icy, a sound that sent a chill down my spine. “Oh, Reyna. This isn’t about you. Not entirely, anyway.”
I frowned, my mind racing. “Then why am I here?”
Diane tilted her head, her smile widening. “Tell me, does the name Alpha Damon ring a bell?”
The mention of that name sent a jolt through me. My blood ran cold as memories of whispered tales about him resurfaced. Stories of his ruthlessness, his hunger for power, and his twisted ways.
“Damon?” I whispered, my voice barely audible.
The delight in Diane’s eyes was unmistakable. “Ah, so you do know him. Good. That’ll save me some time.”
I shook my head, my thoughts a whirlwind. “What does he have to do with this?”
Diane stepped closer, her smirk unwavering. “You’ll find out soon enough. He should be here any moment now.”
“No,” I said firmly, my voice trembling despite my best efforts. “I won’t let you do this.”
Her laugh echoed through the room. “Oh, Reyna, you’re in no position to let or stop anything. You’re in my world now.”
Before I could respond, she turned on her heel and strolled toward the door. As she opened it, she glanced back at me, her eyes gleaming with satisfaction.
“Get comfortable, Reyna,” she said mockingly. “Your new life is about to begin.”
And with that, she left, the heavy door slamming shut behind her.
I sank to the floor, my heart pounding as dread seeped into my bones. Alpha Damon. His name alone was enough to strike fear into even the bravest wolves. And now, I was in his hands or I would be, soon enough.
I clenched my fists, determination flaring inside me. Whatever Diane and Damon had planned, I wouldn’t go down without a fight. Even without my wolf, I would find a way to escape. I had to.

Alpha Damon’s POV
Diane stormed into my office, her heels clicking sharply against the stone floor. I could see the fury etched into her face before she even spoke.
“Alpha,” she said, her voice dripping with disdain, “I just came from Reyna’s bedroom, and I must say, I’m disgusted. She’s lying there, enjoying the comfort of silk sheets and a warm bed. That girl should be locked in a dungeon, not living like royalty.”
I leaned back in my chair, studying her. Diane’s anger was always entertaining, though it often bordered on unnecessary theatrics. I folded my hands in front of me, my expression calm.
“Reyna will be my wife in a few days,” I said smoothly. “And as my future Luna, she deserves every comfort I have to offer.”
Diane’s lips curled into a sneer. “She doesn’t deserve to be treated like a queen. She should suffer, Damon. She’s an enemy.”
I stood, adjusting the cuffs of my shirt as I stepped away from my desk. “She is my enemy, Diane. But soon, she will be mine, body and soul. And I don’t want my Luna to enter our union broken. She needs to be strong-for me.”
Diane opened her mouth to argue, but I raised a hand, silencing her. “I’m going to see her now. Shut the door when you leave.”
Without waiting for a response, I walked out of the office, leaving Diane fuming behind me.
As I made my way through the dimly lit halls toward Reyna’s room, my thoughts wandered to our upcoming wedding. I could already picture her standing at my side, her spirit fiery, her eyes filled with defiance-just the way I liked it. Reyna’s strength intrigued me, and soon, it would belong to me.
When I reached the door to her room, I paused for a moment, allowing myself a small smile. The wolvesbane and silver blades in the room ensured she wouldn’t be able to shift or escape, but I knew her mind was racing. I wanted to see the fire in her eyes as she realized her fate.
I pushed the door open.
Reyna jerked upright, sitting on the edge of the bed, her eyes darting toward me
