CHAPTER 493: A LONG MEETING XV

When Eva and Maya stepped into the hall a few minutes later, the murmurings in the hall stopped immediately as if put on a pause. The attention of all was drawn to the little Eva still in Maya’s arms clutching a cute baby doll.
Freya smiled as she saw the both walk toward her. She nodded empathetically at Eva whom she caught at intervals staring down at her doll with longing eyes.
This must be another favourite doll of hers. Freya thought before stretching her hand so that Eva would deposit the doll in there.
She made a mental note to get the girl a bunch of dolls during one of these days since she will be staying in the county and attending college. Aiden still needed to be a professor to be on lookout for the cave of baresis. It was important to their people.
“Thanks a lot, Eva. I will buy a finer one soon.” She promised, staring at a nodding Eva keenly.
She loved the girl so much. God help her. If not for the misbehavior of the girl’s family, she would have loved to visit sometimes.
If only Emma had been accepted by the damn pack. She would have had relations with the beautiful girl. Well, time will tell. She thought, turning away from the duo and beginning to chant the magic words again.
Maya took some steps back in order to avoid any form of ugly accident that will rear its head. The last thing she wanted for either her or Eva was for the spy demon to miss its path and dive into the both of them.
Derek had been saved by the necklace that Emma had managed to collect from Queen Zipfarah; she had a feeling that there isn’t more from where it had come from.
No more possession by evil beings. She concluded, as she continued moving away until she came to stop by Lucille, who glanced at her furtively before looking away.
Maya, aware of this scrutinizing glance, swallowed nothing. She knew that the third of Sheila’s daughters might be another person she would have to apologise to. She knew that the girl wasn’t altogether pleased with her. At least that’s what she thought.
Maya watched with open eyes as the demon in the ball began to move toward the doll that Freya had lifted up before it. She watched as the demon tried to break away from the hypnotic haze, but all to no avail, especially as Sheila stepped forward and aided her second daughter with some of her own magic.
Finally after much struggle, the demon was confined into the doll, and again Aiden took it away in company of his brother, Julius, outside the hall.

“To what do I owe this visit, gentlemen?” Leonarya asked Arnold and a masked Legardo who were sitting on the chairs that she had directed to her servants that they provide for them.
Silence greeted her question at first, and she sighed, wondering what this could mean. Did anything happen? Did she do anything wrong? She asked herself, her mind running tro and fro, whilst wondering what these two were doing here.
They never came to see her together. No, that was impossible.
As much as Arnold was important to the plan because he knew where the stupid valuable cave was, he was powerless when it came to Legardo and her. And of course his beautiful ideas that always seem to work every goddamn time, and turn her on most times. And this was the reason why Legardo, well, the new Legardo would actually spare him.
The Legardo whom she had grown up with, though conniving, was not as fearful as this Legardo she had known for the past eighteen years.
It was like the dude had travelled to god knows where and returned changed. And there was the stupid mask that he was always wearing since that return eighteen years ago. A mask he always wore whenever they had sex.
Sex. That had changed too. Well, for the better. She knew they weren’t mates, but she had never been able to stop herself from going to him even when he had found his mate.
Only that this new Legardo wasn’t as crazy about her as the old one. What had changed him? What had made him crazed about power and control?
She had always thought that she was the one with the obsession of control, but when Legardo had returned from wherever he had gone for retreat eighteen years ago, he had taken the baton from her.
Now, she was learning from him, and was under his control. The sex was just too good, and of course his power. That was another thing that had given her a second thought, that had stopped her from rebelling against him. The power which he had been given was something else. Till date she wonders how and where he had gotten it.
“Won’t I be getting the reasons for your coming together?” She asked again, her eyes finding a Kyran who stood by the doorpost, telling him to be ready for anything that might happen.
As much as she was in coalition with the two men, she didn’t trust either of them. For all she knew, they might try to get rid of her, probably thinking that their use of her was finished, that they could take over from here.
“Don’t be hasteful, Narya…we are not here for a fight…” Legardo stated calmly, and Leonarya sighed weakly, feeling his voice rake over her features, her inner belly features. God, she had missed him in her bed. Missed hearing his voice even though that had changed too. Would he stay the night?
“We are just here to confirm something.” Legardo concluded, clasping his hand on each other. “I didn’t come with Arnold either. We had just met right at the entrance of the community, and then discovered that we had a mutual problem.”
I thought as much. Leonarya mused. There was no way that Legardo would be in company with Arnold. He had always thought of the other man as a lesser being.
“So, why are you here then?” She queried, clasping her thighs. She was beginning to feel wet down there, and didn’t want the scent to waft out. Only Legardo’s voice could do that.
“We are here for the spy demons. We can’t seem to locate them. The mirrors are just black and blank. Do you think they have been discovered?”
