Book:The Alpha's Addiction Published:2025-2-23

It’s been a while lovelies. Let’s be done with this book now and forever. Lol. I apologize again for my absence.
So, let’s do a small recap. Just a little.
Alright. Group of 7 who had walked into the hall comprises of; Freya, Aiden, Julian, Yodah, Kane, Dobah and Blenda. Then, there is Emma who is no longer in England, but in the United States now.
That written down, let’s continue the story properly.
**
Peter was surprised when he saw the group of seven walk into the hall. But he was slightly relieved when he saw the redhead with them.
What was her name again? He thought, cocking his head to the side. Was it Freya? Yeah, that’s what they had called her.
At least one of Sheila’s daughters had been found.
He stared at Sheila, his one time best friend before Melvins snatched her, as she gaped at the newcomers. She must be wondering what the girl was doing in the midst of vampires.
Noting that now, he was curious about who Sheila had been mated with eighteen years ago, seeing that Freya had some characteristics of a vampire.
So many questions.
Well, the answers will be forthcoming soon. He thought as he saw the group stop right in front of the podium.
He noticed that one of the males who looked like a savage beast-he could see it in his eyes-yet outwardly beautiful was staring at Lucille possessively.
Were they mates?
He shook his head in confusion when he perceived the scent of the man. Another vampire.
He shuddered unconsciously. He couldn’t understand why those supernaturals were fixated on his pack. It had started with Aiden and Emma.
Emma. Where could she be now?
Sheila and Lucille, their mouths slightly opened in amazement, stared unabashedly at the newcomers who seemed a bit agitated, especially the vampire which Sheila remembered she had seen last night.
She couldn’t believe that he had found them so soon. She wanted to turn around, pick her daughter and run, especially as she saw the look of possession in his eyes, but for the fact that her second daughter was with them.
Yes, she knew that Freya was hers. She didn’t need a doctor to check for that. She could see the realization in Freya’s eyes too. The latter’s eyes were already brimming with tears.
Freya made the first step. She ambled toward Sheila and Lucille, before Yodah and the rest could stop her.
Her steps though slow, were quite deliberate and seem to carry a force of will that made the others immotile, frozen on the spot, including the members of the pack, including Sheila and Lucille, who were both waiting breathlessly to see what she would do.
When she got to them, she took a sharp look from the head of both mother and daughter to their shoes, before embracing the both of them with her outstretched hands.
A tear slipped from her eyes, a red tear-blood- which caused the people to gasp, including Anthony.
Well, they have never seen a vampire cry.
Sheila cried too.
Lucille couldn’t help her tears either.
She hadn’t bargained to be a crying mess, but right there in the cocoon of her sister’s arms, she had not been able to stop the torrent that began to flow.
It felt like home.
“Let’s leave this despicable place mom,” Freya mentioned vehemently, anger lacing her voice, immediately she disengaged from the hug.
“We have a lot to talk about, and I believe you will prefer it to be out of the confines of this pack.”
Lucille nodded, agreeing with the sister she was just meeting now. The pack was truly godforsaken. She could imagine the heartbreak her sisters had gone through in the hands of the pack members.
Lucille also wondered where her other sister was. Weren’t they both banished out of the pack? Why was she absent from the group?
Why didn’t she come with them? Why were these ones even here in the first place after being banished? Had they forgotten something?
A lot of questions but no answers.
Sheila was about to give a reply, when suddenly, Derek knelt in front of them to the amazement of the entire congregation.
They hadn’t seen it coming. They hadn’t even seen him when he had sped from his position to the spot where the ladies stood conversing. That was how fast he was.
“I never knew you in person, only from my mother’s stories.” He started, not minding the glares he was receiving from his pack. He had more pressing issues to worry about.
For one, he couldn’t let Sheila leave the pack, nor the others. They were the keys to Emma’s return.
“I had seen you or perhaps a clone of you, since you mentioned that you have been missing for the past eighteen years. But still, you had been my godmother. And even though it is clear now that I had messed up, I plead for a chance to be listened to, for my parents to be listened to, for the pack to have a chance to explain themselves.” Derek beseeched, his hands clasped together as if in a prayer, as he looked up to the eyes of Sheila.
Sheila’s eyes softened at Derek’s plea, causing Lucille and Freya to scoff.
A handsome manipulator. Lucille thought as she stared down at her sister’s mate, her lips turned up in disgust.
She furrowed her eyebrows as the hairs on her shoulder and back all stood up, chills surrounding her entire being.
Stop looking at another man.
She heard in her head, even still, she swerved around to see who was talking to her.
Her eyebrows still furrowed, she searched around the pack members wondering if her mate was the one doing that-well obviously it was-but she was thinking that it would be a wolf.
She was actually ready to reject him. She refused to have anything to do with the pack even if her mother was gullible enough to forgive them.
Stop looking at them either. Look at me.
A force held Lucille’s eyes, now out of her control, training them on one of the males that had walked in with her sister.
The man that she had pretended not to notice the way he had stared at her, because it had given her the chill, while at the same time, causing warmth linger in her belly.
The man was looking at her steadily, his black obsidian eyes never wavering from her eyes.
God, what beauty is this? she thought, piquing her right brow when she heard a laughter in her head.
Did the guy just invade her mind? She thought, alarmed at the concept. No. She didn’t like this at all. Why would a stranger have access to her thoughts?
I am your lifemate, cara mia.
Lucille shook her head, deciding to turn away from him. The man must be a clown.
Right then, she caught Freya smirking at her.
She shrugged her shoulders, and mouthed; ‘what?’
Well, nothing much.
Freya replied.
You are communicating with your mate right?
