CHAPTER 451: TIRED

“Wow…” It was Dobah who spoke first, out of the five. His voice was tainted with surprise, then disbelief, as he was still processing the volume of information he had just heard. If the details of his brother’s story were right, of which he knew they were, then it was possible that the woman might be the mother of Freya, precisely the mother of triplets. They needed to get her.
“We need to get to them before they move again. Most likely, the woman might be Lucille’s mother, most likely your mother too.” Dobah mentioned, giving voice to his thoughts, as he looked at Freya who was still lost in thoughts.
“Freya…” Yodah called to Freya, tapping her on the knee. “You seem out of it which is still understandable but I think that whatever assumptions you are making now could wait till tomorrow when we see them. It’s not advisable to get our hopes up. Probably, the woman could just be an ordinary traveler, or your mother. Coincidence still exists. The truth will show forth tomorrow. For now, I think we should all rest and probably sleep, instead of breaking our heads thinking about who she might be.” He suggested.
Julius nodded, agreeing with Yodah. “I think Yodah is right. We should rest today and seek out answers tomorrow.”
“What about now? Why should we wait till tomorrow? It’s obvious that if the woman sees Freya, she would love to talk with us…so why are we stalling?” Kane asked, clearly still interested in going back to the hotel tonight.
His mind was still besotted with the thoughts of Lucille, and seeing the possibility that he might get her tonight, he wanted to grab it without thinking. He wished so strongly to hold Lucille in his arms that he forgot certain rules of his; no disturbing the humans past a certain time.
So, he quickly appealed to Freya, knowing that the latter was so invested in finding her heritage. If he manages to convince her, then the others would have no choice but to follow up.
“Freya…” He started. “Aren’t you curious about who the woman is? She really resembles you from afar. I think you should check it out tonight. Chances are that she would move first thing tomorrow morning in order to escape my clutches since I have managed to alert them of my presence already.” He cited, pointing out the facts.
But Freya was silent.
Dobah smirked after his brother’s statement, amused by his desperation; but totally understanding the situation of the latter. He would have probably done the same if he were in his brother’s shoes. The importance of their lifemate to them was second to none.
“Freya…we are actually waiting for your reply.” Aiden mentioned to Freya, but this time, through their mind path, ready to follow her to the ends of the world if she wanted to move.
Freya inhaled deeply then, clasping her hands together on her lap.
“It’s already late, Uncle.” She stated. “I think it’s better to check out the hotel first thing tomorrow morning. And even if they do manage to move out of the hotel, we can always track them down since I’m sure you must be accustomed to Lucille’s scent by now. Besides, I don’t think it would be wise to disturb the humans at this time. It should be around midnight now. We would be drawing unnecessary attention to ourselves. The search could wait.” Freya said, exhaling softly, before continuing. “Uncle, I know finding your lifemate means the world go you now, but could you wait a few more hours?” She asked, gazing at Kane who shrugged his shoulders, understanding of course Freya’s point.
He had to calm horses down. A few hours he could wait.
“Of course. I understand. I rather apologise for my hastiness. That would have gotten us into trouble.” Kane said, before standing up from his seat and heading to the place of rest allocated to him by Aiden.
“Do you think he will be fine, Dad?” Yodah asked Dobah, to which Dobah nodded.
“He just needs some time to think,” Dobah said, standing up from his seat. “You all should head in and rest. I have a feeling that we will have a long, interesting day tomorrow. Retire now.” He suggested, walking toward the passageway, not knowing how right he was on his prediction.

Queen Zipfarah looked at her family members that surrounded the small round table in the family private dining room which wasn’t open to non-family members. The only one missing was Prescott.
“When would Prescott be coming back? Is there an expiration to his staying with Emma?” Leila asked, folding her arms across her chest, her lips raised up in a pout. It was obvious that she was missing the squirrel who was more than a friend to her.
“I am not sure yet, Leila. But I’m sure he would be visiting from time to time to give us updates on how Emma is doing and if she is really the one. For now, we just have to wait.” Zipfarah replied, relaxing into the chair, her thoughts divided majorly between the situation and location of Emma at the moment-for her birthday was just one day away, and then, the person who had healed her of Leonarya’s poison.
Her council members were yet to find out who was working with Leonarya, but she was sure that it was one of them. She just hasn’t had the time to do her own inquiry. She was rather interested in who had healed her.
The healing touch had felt awfully familiar but the only person who had that power was long dead. Or could it be the spirit? She thought, her face starting to cloud over with sadness. She felt nostalgia, missing the tales and company of her second daughter, Tempest. If she was around, she would have overseen Emma’s situation to the last. But alas! Leonarya had made sure that was not so!
“Grandma, are you okay?” Lily inquired, noticing the flash of sadness that had crossed Zipfarah’s face.
“Of course dear. I am fine. Just tired.” Zipfarah replied, putting on a faux smile.
