“… and that is our own story, and part of the reasons why we are here, apart from searching out Yodah and Freya.” Kane said, rounding up his own side of the story, two hours after Dobah had asked the four offenders to spill out what was actually happening.
They had all shared their own side of the story, and the parts they had played in them, and so, right now, Dobah and his twin, with his lifemate, now had ideas of what might be going on or transpiring among the supernaturals.
Something evil and mightier than each one of them was coming, but together, they might be able to fight it off. Blenda thought, even as she wondered where the girl, Emma, was. She wished that they had arrived minutes earlier so that she could take a look at the girl who seemed to hold the fate of worlds in her hands despite not knowing of what is or the powers she possesses.
“So, the girl, Lucille… apart from her wolf nature, did you see her human version by any chance?” Aiden asked Kane, but the latter shook his head meekly. After being told the story by the lads, he had chosen to let go of previous offences and work together with the group, since whatever might be coming might be coming for them all just like Blenda had pointed out before their travel to this county.
“Well, this is really a lot. But first, we have to send someone to watch over the girl.” Dobah suggested, and the rest nodded their heads. But who would go? That was where the problem laid.
“Well, I think Aiden should call in the Prince and his cohorts that had come to visit him earlier. I think its high time we swore our allegiance to the ruling Prince. This wouldn’t be a good time to just float on the air without belonging to any sides. We need all the help we can get. Remember, we need to send someone over to our region to also curb the coordinated attacks of the vampires which seems to be getting prevalent than the usual.” Kane advised, and Blenda nodded her head, in support of his suggestion.
“Dobah, I think Kane is right. Aiden, you will have to call in the favour of the Prince.” She said, to which Aiden nodded, before opening the mind path between him and his closest friend and sending off a message.
“Done. They should be here by midnight.” Aiden cited, glancing at the wall clock at the far north of the living room. The time was just forty minutes past seven o’clock. There were enough hours for the Prince and the others to scale through a continent to them tonight.
“Any spaces for sleep?” Dobah asked after a while.
“Of course. There are quite a lot in the basement.” Aiden answered with a short smile, a smile that mirrored Dobah’s the next second.
“That’s great then. I think we should all go to rest or feed. Whichever one is on each of our minds. When the others come, we can talk then, and plan out strategies, including how to tackle black witch who seems to have a huge hand in playing out the evil foreboding. And about the werewolf pack, well, I will leave that in the hands of Freya. We will do whatever she would command in that area, so far as they keep out of our way.” Dobah said, and the rest nodded, understanding and supporting what he had just said.
He stood up first with his lifemate, Aiden followed, leading the way to the basement. Blenda needed to rest. Her legs were already aching. The others still sat on the sofas in the sitting room, each left to their own thoughts.
“Do you think that Lucille might be connected to Emma?” Kane asked all of a sudden, staring at Freya who was still shocked that Aiden had once treated and taken her friend as a lifemate. No matter how she had tried to picture it, she couldn’t. She also hadn’t been able to get angry at the duo.
“I am not sure. But why would you think so?” Julius asked.
“Well, she was able to get into Aiden’s head, was able to cause him to see colours, but she wasn’t his mate, but was rather related, if not a twin, to Freya. So, they might share the same blood. And if that is so, if my theory is right, then she might be related to Lucille too, in some way. Has she gotten into your head before?” Kane cited before asking Julius a question.
“No, I don’t think she has.” Julius replied, letting out a sigh of tiredness. The complication of the matter kept growing and growing day by day. At this rate, he might not be surprised if Sheila turns up somehow in some of this. After all, she was the only werewolf, or rather the first werewolf, whom he was sure had had something to do with one of their kind. What if she was the mother of Emma and Freya, and perhaps Lucille?
Julius chuckled soon after he had made this thought. His brain’s imaginative process was still as active as ever. But even if he was right, Sheila was a werewolf, and not a witch. So, where had Freya’s mage blood come from?
Kane was the next person to stand up. Taking a look at the fellows in front of him, he wished them a goodnight, before walking towards the entrance door of the house.
“Where are you going, Uncle? The basement is that way.” Yodah said, pointing to the passageway which Aiden had passed through earlier with Dobah and Blenda.
“I know. I am not going to rest, at least not now. I am going to feed, and take a look around this county… need to know the environment.” Kane replied, before walking out of the sitting room, to the quietness of the night.
