CHAPTER 355: EMMA AT DEREK’S PARTY IX

Book:The Alpha's Addiction Published:2025-2-23

Emma gulped in nothing, her head bent so low, as Derek broke the kiss. She sighed in gratefulness, when he hugged her to himself, preventing her from being so embarrassed if she should turn around to face the others.
What was wrong with her? She thought, biting her lips, pressing her forehead more tighter on his chest, as if to sink the entirety of herself into him. What was it about Derek that made her a sex maniac, a female animal on heat, whenever she came close to him? Worse, it had been enhanced by the fact that they hadn’t seen each other for a long time.
Even right now, nestled and safe within his arms, her breasts still ached for want of his touch and lips, and her wetness throbbed. She was not satisfied.
‘Emma, stop behaving like you are on heat!’ She cautioned herself but to no avail, rather she found her hands circling Derek’s waist, her right hand stealthily and slowly slipping into his suit from the back. Feeling him stiffen as her hand found the smooth and hard plains of his back, made her smile, forgetting her earlier peptalk.
A second cough did well to remind her of her shamelessness.
This time, the cough had come from Melvina who was right behind them.
‘Damn you Emma.’ She cussed, instantly slipping her hand from underneath Derek’s shirt.
“I see, you are okay now.” Alpha Peter stated, and Derek nodded stiffly, not trusting his voice.
“Would the coronation still go on?” He asked, looking around the hall, hoping that his father would say no. He wanted, no scratch that, he needed some alone time with Emma. Only the feel of her body along the plain of his body was driving him crazy as it was. He couldn’t wait to go into her, to hear her moan his name in that sultry voice of his. The image of this event happening made him rock hard, and he gritted his teeth, tightening his hold on Emma’s waist, when he heard her soft moan. He knew that his little man there had poked her at some place. He also knew that the others in the hall had heard her too; their faces were a board of amusement and happiness. He was glad he was back.
His father’s next statement threatened that gladness.
“Yes, of course. Don’t worry about the bodies. We will find a way about it.” Alpha Peter replied after some thought, his blue tired eyes landing on Aiden, Yodah and Julius.
From his keen gaze, the trio knew that the Alpha wolf needed their help to clean up.
Derek, following his father’s gaze, sighed, remembering that he hadn’t thanked the vampires properly.
“Professor, or rather Aiden…” He started, seeing Aiden raise his right eyebrow at him when he had called him professor.
He smirked, before continuing with his speech.
“Thank you for your help today. Julius and Yodah too. I appreciate the help. Freya… you were awesome.” He added, chuckling the next second when he saw Aiden scowl at him, and when he felt Emma pinch him strongly at the waist.
Jealous fellows. He thought, nodding thankfully at his friends and his cousins.
“Jealous fellow…huh…” Emma said, and he balked, unable to stop himself from staring down at her.
“You could hear my thoughts?” he asked, not caring that the others in the room could hear him speak.
“Of course. For a while now. Aiden knows.” Emma replied, finally disentangling herself from Derek’s hold before she would find herself dropping short kisses on his chest. She didn’t trust her body behavior around the wolf man. For some reason, her body lost its sense of duty to her first, preferring to pleasure Derek.
“Aiden??” Maya asked, shifting her gaze to Aiden who shrugged, unfazed that he was the center of the attention now.
“She had gotten that gift, or rather realized it at the cafe.” He started, before going into the tale, mentioning how Emma had gotten into trouble with some supernaturals and he had come to save her. He mentioned when she had gotten the gift and how he had coached her on utilizing it effectively.
When he was done, there was dead silence in the room.
“You can read all our minds if you want? Did you try?” Melvina asked, a bit sad that the girl had kept this piece of information from them. Even though she understood that the girl must have not trusted them for keeping it to herself all these while. After all, they hadn’t told her about themselves. Something that was in a plain view now. She had thought at first, that the redhead would be repelled by the state of her son or shocked by the werewolves lying dead here and there, but that had not been the case. She had acted too normal for a human finding about these strange things at first. It was like she had known all along what they were.
“How long have you known about us?” she asked too, aware that the question was also in the heart of her mate, and her other subordinates in the room.
When did she know about them?
“Well, yes to your first question. I can read minds. I had tried it on Maya once, when she had reported I and Derek to you that fateful morning when she had walked in on us on the bed. I had asked her why she had done so, but she hadn’t given me a reasonable answer, and so i had read her mind to know her reasons, wanting to know why she had acted the way she had done.” Emma replied, avoiding Maya’s gaze which she was sure would be disarming.
“And to your second question…” She paused, noting the tension in the room.
“I had known since Esther had come into play. Derek would understand more better. I had had my suspicions, but her sharp witted mouth during one of the cafe sessions had confirmed it.” She concluded.
“And what do you think about that? What do you think about being my son’s mate?” Melvina questioned, wanting to know the girl’s intentions here and then.
She was already having a hard time believing that the girl had been fooling them with her ignorance ever since. She wondered if the former had read her mind too, but didn’t want to mention it for fear of upsetting her.
