Kayden cast a cold glance at Scarlett before turning his expressionless gaze back to Georgia.
Her words no longer affected him. His only concern was protecting Georgia. He didn’t trust anyone else in the world to safeguard her as he could.
“Georgia, come with me. I can give you everything you want. I told you before, if you met someone worthy of you, someone who could take care of you, I would leave. Clearly, no one else is more capable of protecting you than I am.”
Luther’s face twisted with anger at Kayden’s words, feeling they were aimed directly at him.
He scowled and shouted at Kayden, “Who do you think you are? Why can’t I protect Georgia? Let me tell you, whatever you can give her, I can give too. And whatever you can’t, I still can.”
Sneering, he added, “You’re just a bumpkin who should go find a country girl to match your level. Do you really think you’re worthy of Georgia? I suggest you leave quietly, or don’t blame me for what happens next.”
In Luther’s eyes, Kayden was still the same insignificant man he had always looked down on, even after witnessing Kayden kill several people.
Kayden’s gaze turned deathly cold as he stared at Luther, his voice cutting through the air like ice. “Shut up.”
Those two words carried a deadly weight, enough to make anyone feel as though they were being swallowed alive.
Luther, normally fearless, froze in shock upon hearing them. His smug, self-assured expression faltered, replaced by a flicker of panic. But after a few seconds, he forced himself to recover.
He scoffed dismissively and said, “You’re telling me to shut up? Who do you think you are? If anyone should leave, it’s you. Georgia’s with me now, and I won’t let you bully her anymore.”
As he spoke, Luther grabbed Georgia’s hand and, in a show of defiance, held it up as if to rub it in Kayden’s face.
Without a word, Kayden raised his hand, and a stone shot out of his palm with a sharp whistling sound. It struck Luther’s arm like a bullet, forcing him to release Georgia’s hand instantly. Blood spurted from the wound, and Luther let out a pained cry.
Kayden’s voice was icy and indifferent. “When I tell you to keep quiet, you’d better listen.”
“You’re not even qualified to speak in my presence.”
The speed and precision of Kayden’s attack left everyone stunned. No one had anticipated that he would strike so swiftly and mercilessly.
“Help! Someone help!” Hugh shouted in alarm, his voice echoing through the hotel lobby.
“This is madness! Absolute madness! You dare to hurt my grandson? You must be insane!” The old lady, her voice trembling with fury, glared at Kayden with gritted teeth.
In an instant, dozens of black-suited bodyguards surrounded Kayden, forming a tight circle around him. These weren’t ordinary guards-they were trained fighters, just like the ones Kayden had already killed.
“Today,” Kayden said, his voice as cold as a glacier, “I don’t want to see any blood spilled here. If you’re smart, leave now.”
He emphasized the last word with such force that it echoed through the room, sending a chill down everyone’s spine. The lobby fell silent.
Hugh’s face twitched with rage, his authority openly challenged. He barked, “Take him down! Throw him out! No one is allowed to disrupt such an important day.”
The old lady, seething with anger, slammed her cane against the floor and snarled, “No! Kill him! I want him dead! Let him see what happens when he crosses the Falcon family.”
Her words epitomized the arrogance of the Falcon family, a second-tier family in the capital that thrived on wielding power and intimidation.
But as soon as her command was given, something shocking happened.
The circle of bodyguards surrounding Kayden collapsed to the ground in unison. Upon closer inspection, their throats were slashed, blood gushing from the wounds. Dozens of highly trained fighters had been killed in a single instant, and no one had even seen how Kayden did it.
Kayden stood in the center, his expression as cold as ever, while chaos erupted in the lobby.
The sight of so many bodies, all killed by one man, was enough to send waves of terror through the crowd. Many of those present were ordinary businessmen, completely unprepared for such a scene. Faced with death, their primal fear surfaced, and panic spread like wildfire.
The old lady’s face turned pale, her eyes wide with fear. She, too, had no idea how it had all happened.
“Georgia, come with me,” Kayden said again, his voice calm but commanding.
“Without you, I’m nothing but a soulless shell. A lifeless body that knows nothing but killing.”
His words were cold, carrying both a threat and a sense of desperation. Kayden wasn’t a man of flowery words or heartfelt confessions. He was direct, blunt, and unyielding. If he wanted something, he said so plainly.
On the battlefield, he was nothing but a killer. Death followed wherever he went. But Georgia had shown him something different-a glimpse of warmth in an otherwise cruel world. To him, she was everything.
But Georgia couldn’t go with him. She had come too far to turn back now. If she gave in, all her efforts would have been for nothing. Billy’s words still echoed in her mind-they were from two different worlds.
Looking at the lifeless bodies on the ground, Georgia realized just how true that was.
She was just an ordinary girl. Her world didn’t include such violence or disregard for the law. Killing was a crime, but to Kayden, it seemed like second nature.
Shaking her head, her face filled with despair, Georgia stared at Kayden and said, “No, Kayden. I can’t go with you anymore. Stop this. Leave. I don’t want to see you. I don’t want to see you ever again!”
This was the end of the line.
No matter how much control Kayden had over everything else, he couldn’t control Georgia’s heart. He had come prepared for this outcome. If Georgia refused to go with him, he would leave.
Without hesitation, Kayden seemed to deflate, his voice heavy with resignation. “Fine. I respect your choice.”
“But-” His gaze turned sharp and deadly again as he looked at every member of the Falcon family. His tone was filled with venom as he said, “If I find out that anyone from the Falcon family dares to mistreat you, I will wipe them out completely. I don’t mind erasing the Falcon family from existence.”
