“Next time you visit your friends, you can bring your brother along too,” Taylor joked, his finger pressing the hold button on the elevator.
“Sure, sure, we’ll come over this afternoon.”
It was Monica’s voice. Danielle recognized it and felt relieved, her wariness of the man completely dissipating. Shortly after, the call ended.
Taylor held the elevator door open for the girl outside, who was holding a suitcase. “Come in, others will need to use the elevator soon.”
The girl trusted him completely and stepped inside with her suitcase. As the elevator ascended, Danielle felt a bit apologetic for misunderstanding him.
Indeed, they lived on the same floor. As Danielle stepped out of the elevator, she saw Taylor entering a fingerprint code to open one of the doors.
Before entering, he turned to her and said, “If you need any help, feel free to ask me. Save my number; my sister’s friends are my friends too.”
The girl politely bowed to him. “Thank you!”
“You’re welcome,” Taylor replied with a smile before entering his apartment. Danielle also entered her rented apartment. It had three bedrooms and two living rooms, which was quite spacious for just one person. She was very satisfied.
Thus, Taylor became Danielle’s first new friend since moving to Arkpool City.
That evening, Tristan and Monica really came over. They brought a lot of ingredients to make hotpot at Danielle’s place and invited Taylor as well. Everyone had a great time chatting…
Two months flew by quickly.
One early morning, just as dawn was breaking.
In the Ding family’s villa, in the large bedroom upstairs on a wide and soft bed.
Monica woke up early feeling very uncomfortable and unable to sleep. She tried to endure until daylight before waking up the man beside her.
Suddenly, she felt a sharp pain in her abdomen!
It felt like her muscles were tearing apart!!
The pain made her frown and grit her teeth; it was unbearable!
Because she was pregnant with twins, she had done a lot of research and knew this wasn’t normal labor contractions.
She didn’t dare delay any longer and decided not to endure it.
“Tristan…” Monica lay on her side in bed, reaching out painfully to grasp Tristan’s arm and gently called out to him in his sleep. “Tristan.”
Fortunately, Tristan was a light sleeper and quickly opened his eyes. “I’m here, what’s wrong?” He immediately turned to hold her arm and saw her pale face in the faint morning light. “Are you feeling unwell?” He became nervous. “What’s wrong?”
“I…” Monica struggled to breathe through the pain and could barely speak normally. “My stomach hurts so much…”
Tristan quickly sat up straight. “We need to go to the hospital!” He dressed while calling Rowan to explain Monica’s condition.
It was an entire month before her due date!
Rowan listened carefully and didn’t dare waste any time. He immediately notified the best obstetrician at the hospital and started preparing to head over himself!
Tristan carried the agonizing Monica downstairs while the servants hurriedly grabbed the delivery bag. Zack Clarke also woke up with his heart in his throat.
Mr. Swain and Belinda were notified as well; everyone got up quickly and worriedly-this was clearly premature labor!
Claire’s roommates Katherine and Bertie also found out and insisted on going to the hospital together.
So early that morning, everyone who loved Monica was deeply concerned.
They drove straight to Tristan’s villa, all extremely worried about Monica.
Soon after, as they were taking Monica to the hospital, Rowan joined them in the car. As a doctor, he had a premonition that his sister’s situation was not looking good.
