“Good evening Brookwood Pack. On behalf of my mate, Delta Anthony and I, we have two announcements we would like to make.
First, several of you already know that I have been working on revamping our security system for about a month and a half. The new Command Center is now fully operational. We have gifted the Brookwood Pack with a fully modernized (technically advanced) security system meant to detect intruders at our borders.
Secondly, on Monday as you all know I was hospitalized due to a severe migraine with complications. The complication is that I’m pregnant. At this time, It is with great pleasure, we would like to announce that we are pregnant with Twins!” I announced to the pack. I paused so that it could sink in. Then, you could hear outside the pack house, howls of joy.
I know our smiles couldn’t be wiped off our faces even if you tried. We were so happy. Dad came forward and stated, “It is a happy time for the new Delta pair as they start their own family and as they prepare for their heirs.”
Alpha Richard came forward. “Good night Brookwood Pack. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns. Enjoy your evening everyone!” exclaimed Alpha Richard as he closed the ceremony.
Both Alpha Kings came forward to congratulate us on our happy news. Alpha King Friedrich declared, “Congratulations on your pups! I am so happy for you.”
Princess Sophia wrapped me in a bear hug. She was so happy for me. All of a sudden, she released me and started sniffing the air. I knew what was about to happen. She caught the scent of her mate. She turned around only to stop dead in her tracks at who it was.
Prince Michael and Princess Wendy walked into the room. Prince Michael had a look of disbelief on his face. Princess Sophia growled when she saw Prince Michael and Princess Wendy holding hands. Everyone was surprised at her response.
“What’s the meaning of this?” inquired Alpha King Matthew to Princess Sophia.
“He’s my Fated mate. And he’s holding hands with another she-wolf,” replied Princess Sophia.
“He can’t be your ‘fated’ mate because he’s her fated mate,” declared Alpha King Matthew as he continued to look between the three of them.
“How can that be? I don’t understand!?” demanded Princess Sophia to no one in particular.
I walked over to Princess Sophia and wrapped my arm around her waist to offer her my support. I knew exactly how she felt at this particular point in time because I had experienced it myself.
“Michael, explain this to me, NOW! How can you have two Fated mates? You told me that Wendy was your fated mate. And yet, you have had no children yet. How can that be?” demanded Alpha King Matthew.
“With all due respect father, this is none of their business. We shouldn’t be talking about any of this in front of them,” declared Prince Michael to his father.
“Silence! We will talk about it right now, right here! Answer me, NOW!” commanded Alpha King Matthew to his son.
“Wendy and I are chosen mates not fated mates. I decided I didn’t want to wait for my fated mate,” explained Prince Michael to his father.
“You lied to me and your mother. Then, you lied to everyone else. Was it so I would name you my successor?” demanded Alpha King Matthew.
“Yes sir, it was,” Prince Michael answered him.
“You realize with Princess Sophia being your fated mate, you would be King consort in Europe,” Alpha King Matthew shared with his son.
“Yes, but I want to be King here in the U. S. I want to make a difference here. I want to change laws here that would do away with firstborns being given titles instead of firstborn sons being given the titles. Males are inherently stronger than females, therefore, they should govern over them,” declared Prince Michael in a snarl.
Growls were heard in the room when he said males were inherently stronger than females and should govern over them. Talk about a male chauvinist.
“Why would I want to be a King Consort? I would have no power over her. She would hold all the power. I, Prince Michael Edward Halstead, reject you, Princess Sophia, of being my fated mate,” Prince Michael declared.
Growls and snarls were heard in the room as he spoke those words.
“Silence! How dare you! Do you have any idea what you just did?!” demanded Alpha King Matthew of his son.
“I just rejected my fated mate so she can find herself a mate. I don’t want her because I have the one I want,” Prince Michael foolishly stated.
I held Princess Sophia as she was breathing heavily. She was trying not to cry. I was rubbing circles on her back trying to comfort her in spite of Prince Michael’s in sensitive words and actions.
Alpha King Friedrich was livid. Beta Yared and Alpha Richard was doing a good job restraining him and calming him down.
“Prince Michael, you will be silent. You will not speak! Nod your head if you understand me,” commanded his father.
He nodded his head in understanding. His father was livid. He couldn’t believe what his son just did. “Sit down Michael and Wendy. Do not move from this spot until I tell you to do so. Nod if you understand me,” commanded Alpha King Matthew. Both of them nodded that they understood them.
“Alpha King Friedrich, I humbly apologize for my son. May we go to another room Alpha Richard so we can have this discussion? I do not wish for everyone to hear what I have to say,” declared Alpha King Matthew.
“As you wish, Alpha King Matthew,” replied Alpha Richard.
“Beta Micah. Please escort the Alpha Kings to the Conference Room. Do you require anything or anyone else Alpha King Matthew?” asked Alpha Richard.
“Yes, please have Delta Melanie, Princess Sophia, and Beta Yared join us in the Conference Room. Then, I want this room guarded to ensure that no one leaves the room,” commanded Alpha King Matthew.
“As you wish, Alpha King Matthew,” replied Alpha Richard.
I helped to walk a shaking Princess Sophia into the conference room. I helped her into a seat. I gave her some water to help ease her nerves a little. I held her hand or rubbed circles on her back to help comfort her as best as I could. No matter what, this meeting was going to be one that would change the course of her life. I hope she was ready for it.
