Xavier’s POV
I watched them as they all sighed but still signed it, I am doing it for them for a hundred thousand dollars for ten thousand dollars, of course they will sign, the woman that said she is a widow, I know her, she was quite close to my parents especially my mother, the husband was a human trash when he was alive, am excluding her from this, she is a good lady.
“We are done good, now I have five hundred million dollars already cleaned, so bring your unclean money in exchange for it, today you are paying with information but not now, I will call each one of you respectively for it, our password will be (hello is this McDonald’s cake vendor?) then you will say (no it isn’t what cake)”
“That’s quite a password, but at least we wouldn’t make a mistake ”
“Yes, it’s unique, no one will know”
“Good, we will change our password at every meeting ”
“Okay then”
I took out my phone, dialed a number and said to them,
“Bring out the money”
Everyone of them looked excited, except the widow lady, I looked at her and while everyone isn’t looking I signaled to her to wait after the meeting,
When the money arrived, they all claimed the amount they wanted, of course they are not taking it like that, I will find an outlet, a business outlet to give it to them.
“You should remember this takes some time, I won’t send it to you all at once, I will find ways to integrate for you, then I will send it to you, either through assets or cash”
“Don’t worry Mr McCartney we know how these things works, so don’t worry, we are aware, thank you ”
“You are all welcome ”
They all left one after the other till the widow remained, I switched off the button and went and sat down in front of her,
“Ma Evelyn ”
“Xavier you have grown into a fine young man, you mum must be proud ”
“Well I don’t think it’s true with what am doing now”
“That’s what I wanted to ask you but I don’t think I have the right to criticise you because am doing the same thing ”
“Ma Evelyn what happened?”
“Well, er, my husband as you know is not much of a good man, so he left his asset for me and the kids and ten billion dollars worth of unclean money, his mistresses got the other important assets and all his clean money, I found out about the dirty money by accident, that’s how me and the kids are surviving ”
“Ma Evelyn, can you trust me?”
“Yes of course dear, you are my friend’s son, I know I wasn’t there when everything happened because that’s when my husband died so things were hectic for me”
“I understand, give me all the dirty money you have, I will integrate it for you into numerous restaurants, companies and art gallery we have, you will have shares in them, so that the money will be clean and give you steady flow of cash okay?”
“You will do that for me?”
“Yes and stop coming to these meetings, disassociate yourself from them, this is a set up to find who murdered my parents ”
“What!! She was murdered? Oh my god, oh my god”
“Don’t worry, we will find out everything ”
“Xavier, they will find it suspicious if I stop all of a sudden ”
“Don’t worry, I will send you and the kids abroad, you have a house there right ”
“Yes, I wanted to sell it because of money issues ”
“Don’t sell it, go there and once everything blows over come back and be an active share holder okay ”
“Thank you Xavier, thank you so much, thank you ”
“No problem, go home now and get ready okay ”
“Okay then”
I watched her as she leaves, tears in her eyes, I don’t imagine doing this to Jessica, I will not make her pass through this, actually laundering her money for her isn’t a problem, I will do it just this once, just this once to repay her for what she did for my mum and me when she died.
I left the meeting place and went to the other room, everyone was rounding up, the person the police said has already taken names and faces, he nodded at me and left.
“So we just wait for the big fish to enter then”
“Yes, we wait”
I went to Jessica and hugged her, she whispered to me
“Thank you for what you did for that lady, don’t worry, Blac removed it before the police saw okay ”
“Thanks love, let’s go home, I know you are tired ”
“Yes you are right”
“Mike and Blac are you all done?”
“Yes, am done let’s go”
We are left the place and went to our respective home, Mike took Blac to his lodge.
“Jess”
“Yes”
“Once everything ends let’s have a vacation, just the two of us okay?”
“Yes, of course, we deserve it”
Jessica’s POV
I watched as Xavier went to the fridge to get water, grandfather and my aunt went to stay at his villa, Xavier’s eyes were red shut and I know he is tired, I hope everything goes as planned.
I opened my laptop and typed in that lady’s name, her husband really did her bad, how can he do that to his wife and kids, Xavier thought he switched it off but it can’t be done instead it limited that it’s only Blac that can hear it.
He gave it to me when it got personal and even though it’s bad, I was happy for the decision he made, I just pray he wouldn’t get caught but if he is planning on getting caught he won’t volunteer doing it .
“Xavier?”
“Yes babe”
My heart always flutter whenever he calls me that,
