Xavier’s POV
If I had made love to Jessica I would have confirmed that the woman was right about the pregnancy but I know it isn’t true.
Once the last of the normal guests left, I went to the group of ten waiting for me, and led them into the designed room.
We all sat down with me at the head table, I looked at each of them, observing their reactions, facial expressions and attitude.
They looked like rats enjoying the cheese on a beautiful board trap while the cats watched them silently, they are all on a beautiful board that will slide them down to the pit for the cat to devour.
The person that followed me wasn’t here with them perhaps he has gone to tell his findings to the others, well the more the merrier for me.
Everyone was just murmuring and talking amongst themselves, I didn’t say anything just wait for them to stop by themselves, then one person looked at me, tapped the next person who tapped the next, the circle continued like that till they all finally shut the fuck up.
I casually put my hand into my pocket pressed the button and took out my white handkerchief dabbed my forehead and put it back.
“Now let’s talk about the reason we all came here today”
“Mr Xavier, I want to work with you regarding the money laundering”
A man said, I don’t know this one, never seen him before, maybe he was referred by someone or was someone’s double,
“Laundering you all money for a cheap price isn’t a problem but I require something else in return ”
“What is it Mr Xavier?”
A woman with too much make up on her face asked, I wonder if I press my hand on her face whether I will make a dent in it, it was so thick.
“Well, I heard that most of you have people already doing it for you before you left them and came to me”
“Well, you heard right Mr McCartney but we were made to cut our money in two, take one and give them the remaining ”
Finally someone realised that am not their pal and called my name properly,
“It’s business, you agreed to it so you leaving them shows disloyalty and that’s what I don’t want”
“Mr McCartney, you promised to do it for us at a cheaper price and for information ”
“I did and am not changing my stance, all am talking about is that I need proof of your royalty and discretion ”
“So what are we to do for you to believe us?”
Bingo, now is the time to bring out the chains that will lead them wherever I want without questions or anything,
“You all will sign a NDA now and remember no matter what, as long as you live under the sky, I will catch you wherever you go”
“Isn’t an NDA a little too much, I mean we all…..”
“Excuse me Mr whoever you are, am signing it, I can keep my mouth shut, maybe you can’t that’s why you are being scared ”
“No it isn’t that am just being precau…..”
“You can take it and shove it up your ass, Mr McCartney where is the paper ”
I don’t know this woman but whoever she is should be applauded, I looked at her and smiled, then pulled out was of papers out and gave them to share amongst themselves.
“Mr. McCartney, isn’t this a bit too much, we are not to disclose, or patronise another person, if we do, we lose every assets under our name?”
“If you all here tell anyone who happens to be the wrong person about this or me, what do you think will happen, I lose everything my parents worked hard to build, I will be thrown into jail then into the streets and none of you will help me”
“Well that’s true and fair”
“But what if we wanted to bring someone in?”
“You don’t bring people in, I do, I just don’t take in just anyone that comes, if you want to bring someone in, then tell me first and leave the rest for me”
“Okay then, am signing, I need the money for my kid’s education and feeding and that’s all my late husband left, so am doing it”
“Remember once you sign this, my eyes and ears will always be on you, so if you spill it drunk or sober or coerced, there will be evidence before I take it Infront of everyone ”
“……..”
I watched them as they all sighed but still signed it, I am doing it for them for a hundred thousand dollars for ten thousand dollars, of course they will sign, the woman that said she is a widow, I know her, she was quite close to my parents especially my mother, the husband was a human trash when he was alive, am excluding her from this, she is a good lady.
“We are done good, now I have five hundred million dollars already cleaned, so bring your unclean money in exchange for it, today you are paying with information but not now, I will call each one of you respectively for it, our password will be (hello is this McDonald’s cake vendor?) then you will say (no it isn’t what cake)”
“That’s quite a password, but at least we wouldn’t make a mistake ”
“Yes, it’s unique, no one will know”
“Good, we will change our password at every meeting ”
“Okay then”
I took out my phone, dialed a number and said to them,
“Bring out the money”
Everyone of them looked excited, except the widow lady, I looked at her and while everyone isn’t looking I signaled to her to wait after the meeting,
When the money arrived, they all claimed the amount they wanted, of course they are not taking it like that, I will find an outlet, a business outlet to give it to them.
