“Yes sir, here, a cold compressor ”
I went back to my house to see the model I was involved in a scandal with standing in front of my gate, I beckoned on her to come inside the car, she entered and removed her masks and cap, her mascara ran down her face and she was obviously been crying, she is still pretty that’s why I choose her out of every other ones that was shown to me.
“Rebecca, I will send you abroad to work for the Gold entertainment ”
“Gold entertainment? Are you saying I can work for the best global entertainment ? ”
“Yes, we have a shares there, you are already a good model and actress so winning their favour won’t be that hard for you, so yes, prepare, you are leaving tomorrow, don’t worry about your company”
“Okay, thank you, I will stay the night and leave tomorrow, I will prepare everything and tell you, thank you ”
“So, you are happy now?, go inside and freshen up, you look disgusting now”
She got out of the car, I wasn’t in the mood to be with her this night, Xavier really hit me hard.
Jessica’s POV
“So, you really bought our company?”
I asked Xavier as we were discussing in our room, since the day we got married, we have been sleeping together, but haven’t been intimate, well we still have four years to go, Xavier has been good to me, he even gave me the scoop for this recent news.
“Yes, I bought it, the owner really has no interest in media, he opened an entertainment company instead ”
“Oh, how did you get the scoop about Marcus and why did you give it to me, thought you business men look out for each other always, I was surprised when you gave me the scoop”
“Well, let’s just say I wanted to , I was just playing around, good night Jessica, I want to sleep”
The next day, I made a simple breakfast of pan cake and tea, ever since I cooked last time, I sometimes cooked for Xavier, he like it so I was happy to continue.
We finished eating and he dropped me at the company as usual, I don’t receive much attention like before, it’s there but not as usual.
The whole company was bustling and hustling because of the news that our company has been bought by the metro company, everyone was scared that they might change workers, those that entered indiscriminately were really afraid of getting sacked , metro company has the reputation on not supporting corruption or getting employed through connection means.
I know that Xavier won’t check that, as long as you are doing a good job, you are staying unless you are not working and delegating your duties to another worker or an intern.
Collins POV
“Is this information here true?”
I asked the young man who is the car with me handing an envelope to me.
“Yes, it’s true, they are married and he bought their company, and he also is the one responsible for the firing of Miss Natalie ”
“Okay, no problem, this is your remaining money, get out now”
“So that bitch has the mind to marry another man on our supposed wedding day, what a slut”
I snickered, after my encounter with Jessica the last time, I investigated her because am sure she doesn’t have the power to get anyone fired especially someone in the same calibre as Natalie and the information I got is what I wasn’t expecting, so she actually married the CEO of Metro company?
” So since you want to keep it a secret , I will pretend not knowing but will approach you, being a pushover, am sure she will agree immediately because I know she still loves me, then I will make her convince her husband to raise my status in my company, so Jessica you were useful all these while.”
I laughed loudly to myself because I can see my plan working.
“Duu, Duu, Duu”
My phone rang and I know it’s noone else except my girlfriend.
“Hi babe, I have been calling your line, what’s wrong, why are you not picking up?”
“I was busy, and besides don’t you have a job, why are you always calling me on phone ”
She is starting to get on my nerves and get greedy and too demanding, the reason why I started dating her before was because she isn’t like JESSICA, she wasn’t clingy or demanding but now, she is getting on my nerves, seems like I will break up with her because she might ruin my plans.
“You know what, let’s break up, it’s long overdue, don’t call me anymore ”
“Am sorry babe, am sorry, I was ju….”
I ended the call before she could finish her words, both she and Natalie could go to hell for all I care, Natalie has been fired from the company which made her absolutely useless to me.
“Time to win back Jessica ”
I drove off in my car and went to her (Jessica ) Company, I went into a nearby cafe to wait for her to come out since it was time for them to close.
One hour later, I saw her come out but before I could approach her, a limited edition black sports car stopped and she entered, I ran out immediately and entered my own car, noone knows what the CEO of Metro company looks like or where he lives but I will find out because I will be needing it.
“Damn traffic, thank goodness I haven’t lost them yet”
The traffic soon cleared and I still followed them, careful not to get caught by them.
They stopped a an intersection that lead to a private land, I couldn’t follow them inside but I know that this is where they live.
