The sun settled on Morticia’s face, stirring her awake from sleep.
She moaned softly, shifting in the soft bed. Her head bumped into a firm chest, prompting her eyes to flutter open and meet a pair of beautiful metallic eyes.
“Good morning, love,” Klaus greeted in a sweet, deep voice that made her blush and smile.
“How long have you been staring at me?” she asked, her voice tiny, like a little child.
She recalled last night’s activities, and heat crept onto her cheeks. She quickly covered her face with the duvet.
“Shy?” Klaus chuckled, pulling the duvet away, but she covered her face again. “You’re damn cute.”
He tugged the duvet away again, pinning it down this time so she couldn’t hide. He leaned down to kiss her.
Morticia smiled brightly. “Is this real?” she whispered.
Klaus didn’t reply. Instead, he leaned down and kissed her again, nibbling her lips gently to let her know it wasn’t a dream.
He was really here with her. She wasn’t the cold, distant woman she had been since his return. Now, she was like a timid little child.
He missed this side of her-very much.
He pulled away and placed a light kiss on the tip of her nose. “It’s not a dream, my love.”
She grinned. “I like the new title.”
“It’s not a title. It’s what you are,” he corrected. Damn, how could he be so good with words?
“I’ve made us a meal. Freshen up, and I’ll take you downstairs,” he said, and her brows furrowed.
“Oh my God. What time is it?”
“It’s 1 p. m.,” he replied, and her mouth dropped open in shock.
“Holy shit,” she muttered.
“You don’t have much work today. I know your schedule. Just rest with me,” Klaus said smoothly.
Morticia playfully punched him in the chest. “That’s not it. What will my team think right now? I don’t even want to imagine… Oh God, I must’ve been crazy last night!”
Klaus smiled, enjoying her flustered reaction, and decided to tease her. “You mean how you kissed me in front of everyone? Or how you rode me last night?”
She hit him again. “That’s not funny!”
“Want me to bathe you?” he asked with a smirk.
“No.”
“You sure?”
“Yeah, I can…” She whimpered as the ache between her legs reminded her of the night before. “I’m going to kill you, Klaus!”
“Why blame me? We both wanted it. We can always continue if you’d like,” he whispered.
Ignoring the ache, Morticia grabbed a pillow and hit him several times.
Klaus’s laughter filled the room. In one swift move, he scooped her up and carried her toward the bathroom.
“Put me down!” she demanded.
“If I do, I’ll take you back to bed. You know what that means, right?” he teased. She swallowed hard. “Now be a good girl while I treat you like my queen.”

Vincent sat in a restaurant, his fingers busy texting Nica.
Nica had told him that Chicago was her home now. She had a life, a family, and a business there. As the next CEO of her parents’ company, she couldn’t stay in Washington.
Vincent was in a tight spot. He didn’t want to be a hindrance to her happiness. He understood why she loved Chicago-it was where she had healed and found happiness again.
She had even introduced him to a famous director who was interested in his dancing talent and willing to bring him to the top once more.
Vincent sighed, knowing he needed to decide quickly. Leaving home to go there with her was a tough choice.
“I’m so sorry. I know this is tough, but I really want you to come with me… Please.”
He sighed again, recalling Nica’s words.
Later that night, he came home to find Ava chatting with Nica, his son in her arms. Ava’s smile was priceless.
She had once told him she was glad everything was returning to normal. With Klaus healing himself and Morticia, having a grandson, and seeing Vincent in love again, Ava had finally found the light she’d lost four years ago.
Vincent sat beside Nica, slipping his hand into hers beneath the table. He turned to his mother.
“Mom,” he called softly, hesitating a little. “I’m going to Chicago.”
Nica froze, her eyes widening in surprise. She hadn’t expected him to agree so soon. She had been ready to find a way to make things work if he declined.
“I’m going back to dancing,” he continued, looking at Nica. “And I want to be with my new family too.” He turned to his mother again. “You can come if you want, Mom. If not, I promise to visit often.”
Ava’s smile brightened. “Finally,” she chuckled, pulling Vincent into a warm hug. She gestured for Nica to join them, and she did. The atmosphere was bright and warm.

~Months later~
Close to the end of their long-term contract with Scarlett Holdings, Morticia and her team had done a great job so far.
Their design was now under real construction, and the builders were doing excellent work on it. The task wasn’t easy, as Klaus and Morticia frequently visited the site to inspect the progress.
Last week, Klaus had traveled back to New York to handle some matters at the Eterna Corporation.
As for their relationship… well, the world was still buzzing about the revelation, but Klaus made sure to protect her from the press, knowing she disliked too much attention.
In the car, Morticia was on a video call with Vincent, Nica, and his son. Vincent, who had recently reclaimed his status as one of the best dancers, was now popular in the entertainment world with a massive fan base.
“Hey, Morticia, guess what?” Nica chimed over the call, happiness clear in her voice.
“You’re pregnant again?” Morticia guessed.
“That,” Nica nodded, and Morticia’s eyes widened. “But not just that… I said yes.” She revealed the ring on her finger.
“Oh my God!” Morticia gasped, covering her mouth with her hands. “That is so sweet. I never knew my brother could be so romantic… He’s such a punk! Congratulations! On your pregnancy and engagement. I’m so happy for you!”
“I’m literally right here, Morty,” Vincent’s face popped beside Nica’s, raising a brow. Morticia giggled.
“We’re getting married next month,” Nica announced.
“That soon?” Morticia gasped again, and they nodded. “Oh, I can’t wait!”
They chatted until Morticia reached the company. Thanking her driver, she entered the building, her face returning to its usual neutral expression.
To those who greeted her, she gave a polite nod. She sighed, recalling Nica’s announcement.
Rhea and Valerie were now officially together, planning to adopt. Nica and Vincent were getting married soon…
When will it be my turn? she thought.
As the elevator doors began to close after she stepped in, a hand stopped them. Klaus stepped inside. Morticia’s eyes widened in shock, happiness immediately surging through her.
As soon as the doors closed, Klaus pulled her by the waist and kissed her passionately.
“Oh my God, when did you return?” she asked, hugging him excitedly.
“Just now,” he replied, his eyes tired but warm. He had come straight to see her, knowing she was already at work.
“I missed you,” he whispered.
Morticia’s smile slowly faded, and Klaus’s brow furrowed at the sight.
“Is everything alright?” he asked. Before she could reply, the elevator doors opened. Morticia cleared her throat.
“I’ll see you around,” she said quickly, leaving before Klaus could respond.
His phone buzzed-a message from Wyatt:
~Everything is set boss~ the reads, prompting a smile on his face.
The text brought a smile to Klaus’s face.
