“Where am I?”
In the darkness, everything was just too dark as the voice echoed.
“Can anyone hear me? Where am I?”
“You are where you should be, Priya,” the voice in the darkness answered.
Priya felt her heart beating loudly as she tried to see around, but all she felt was blindness; she could only see the blackness in front of her, unable to figure out anything.
“Who?” she asked with shivery hands.
“I am the exact person who is part of you. You just have to find me. I am the only one you should believe in,” the voice stated.
“I am scared of the dark. Please don’t play a joke on me,” Priya desperately urged.
She doesn’t know where she is; she doesn’t know why she is here.
She just remembered standing with Levi and Rish, feeling stressed, and now she’s here. It’s a panicking state she can’t pull herself out of.
“Maya? Levi? Rish?” She called, already stressed over the fact she trusted them and came to their hometown, and now she’s somewhere she can’t even see.
She can only call their names because she feels it’s related to them.
“They are not going to come here. Nobody can come here. It’s only you.”
“I don’t want to be here. Get me out,” Priya pushed her body to stand up, but it felt like her body was glued to the floor.
She was unable to stand, even after trying so hard.
Again she tried, but nothing worked. “What is happening?” Tears started flowing from her eyes, feeling both pissed and exhausted.
It feels like her own body is not working according to her, someone is putting pressure on her and stopping her from moving her way, which is clearly scary and suspicious enough.
If it’s not Maya, Levi, or Rish, then who is it? Did Priyank find her?
She closed her eyes, the thought crossing her mind, but this voice didn’t even sound like him.
So many questions crossed her mind, but she just got no answer other than being blinded like this.
“You have to focus, Priya. I am not here to harm you. Just close your eyes, try to calm down, and focus.”
Priya squeezed her eyes shut, her body screaming in pain, unable to bear the pain her body was breaking with.
Even after trying, she felt nothing. Her cheeks were wet, tears following down her hands glued to the floor, unable to do anything with them, feeling the wet tears covering it all.
“Can you please tell me who you are? I am so terrified,” Priya begged, this is all she can do when she is in a place she isn’t familiar with and the voice is ringing like a devil.
Is she dead? That’s the only way she can imagine it, but she should be in heaven, and heaven has never been this dark. Angels don’t sound like this.
“Neither are you in heaven nor are you dead. Neither am I a devil nor an angel.”
‘She can hear my thoughts?’ Priya asked herself.
“Yes, I can. I am glad that at least you can find out by my voice that I am a woman, or else I was not expecting this.”
The voice seemed to echo through Priya’s mind, sending shivers down her spine.
“Who are you? What do you want from me?” Priya’s voice trembled as she spoke.
“I am your inner voice, Priya. The part of you that you’ve been ignoring for so long,” the voice replied calmly.
“My inner voice?” Priya repeated, her mind racing to make sense of it all.
“Yes, the part of you that knows, what you truly fear, what you truly need. I am here to guide you, to help you find your path,” the voice explained.
Priya’s mind was swirling with confusion.
“But why bring me here? Why all this darkness?” Priya asked, her voice filled with frustration.
“You need to be stripped of everything, to be forced to confront yourself without any distractions. Only in darkness can you truly see the light within,” the voice replied cryptically.
Priya took a deep breath, trying to calm her racing thoughts. She had to trust this voice, had to believe that it was leading her to where she needed to be.
She closed her eyes and tried to focus, knowing she had to. She couldn’t just stay here, no matter what this person claimed to be her inner voice, she didn’t even believe it.
Ahhhhhhh!
Priya screamed as she saw a big wolf. She immediately opened her eyes, startled by the sight of the scary wolf after closing them.
“What did you see?” The voice in the darkness asked.
“A wolf,” Priya breathlessly answered, her heart racing. She had never seen anything so terrifying in her whole life.
“Not just a wolf, it’s the wolf, a part of you that you’ve been denying all along. I am your wolf voice, the part of you that you never tried to figure out, the inner voice that you need but push away,” the voice explained.
Priya’s mind raced as she tried to make sense of it all. A wolf, a part of her? It seemed so surreal.
“You have the werewolf royal blood running through your veins,” the voice continued.
Priya took a deep breath, trying to steady her nerves.
“Werewolf royal blood?” Priya whispered, her doubts weighing heavily on her. “But I’m an orphan.”
The voice in the darkness sighed softly.
“Yes, you are an orphan, Priya. Your parents died while serving their pack. But that doesn’t change who you are. Your lineage is a part of you, regardless of your circumstances.”
Priya’s heart felt heavy as she absorbed the weight of those words. Werewolf royal blood – it sounded like something out of a fantasy tale, not her reality.
‘My parents are dead?’ Priya thought. She might have resented her parents from the start for leaving her and making her live as an orphan, but that didn’t mean she was expecting them to be dead.
This news is just scary and unbelievable.
She never wanted to meet them, but that didn’t mean she was expecting this- after all, they were her parents, even if they had never been present in her life.
How can she even believe this?
“You need to go.”
