“What are we going to do, Levi?”
“How am I going to know, Rish? We don’t have any silver rings, and within ten minutes it’s just impossible to get them from any other stores,” Levi answered, panicked.
“We’re screwed then?” Rish asked, his face filled with fear, knowing exactly who they were dealing with.
If they didn’t arrange the rings, it was like do or die. Priyank wouldn’t show any mercy to them.
He was already looking so angry outside, and they both knew better than to get on his nerves, which they already did without doing anything.
“It’s not even our mistake. How are we supposed to have silver when this store has an exclusive theme? It’s not like we are the owners,” Levi reasoned, clearly stating it’s not their fault.
They were just staff who did sales; they didn’t get to choose what to put on display. Getting threatened with their jobs was just worse.
“Why didn’t you say this outside?” Rish sarcastically asked.
“As if you had the guts to say something. Maybe you should do it now, then I’ll see,” Levi rolled her eyes.
If it were any other case, she would be hitting the shit out of Rish, but now she couldn’t harm him, because they both needed an idea to get themselves out of the situation.
“We’re screwed. We’re going to lose our jobs and everything. I have bills to pay, damn it,” Rish cursed as they both went into the store room.
“I have bills too. It’s not like I’m working here without having any bills. We can handle anyone, but handling a guy who looks like he will kill us with his eyes? For sure, that’s not happening in this case,” Levi sighed as she tried to brainstorm ideas to save herself and Rish.
Levi paced the small store room, her mind racing for a solution. Rish leaned against the wall, his expression a mix of frustration and fear.
“We have to think of something, Levi. We can’t just lose our jobs,” Rish said, his voice tinged with desperation.
Levi nodded, her brow furrowed in concentration. “I know, I know. But what can we do? We don’t have any silver rings, and there’s no way we can get them in time.”
“Maybe call other stores we have franchises with. Some do have silver rings, and they are close enough. Maybe we can get them delivered,” Rish suggested, unsure if it would work.
“We’ve already wasted five minutes, and no store is close enough to deliver things earlier than an hour. How does this even make sense to you, dumbass?” Levi pointed out. She couldn’t believe he was coming up with such a lame idea.
This was the worst situation for sure, but she had never seen him behave this dumb. They had been working together for many years, and Rish had been in this job long before she was.
Still, he came up with such a lame idea. She really couldn’t relate to him. It seemed like facing this situation made all his logic fly out of his head.
Levi’s frustration grew as she realised they were running out of options. She took a deep breath, trying to think of another plan.
“Wait a minute,” she said suddenly, her eyes lighting up. “What about the rings we have with some sapphire stones on? They are on silver rings too.”
Rish’s eyes widened in surprise. “That’s actually a good idea, Levi. Let’s give it a shot.”
“Pull the boxes out from the sapphire stone ones that have silver rings under them. We can sell them saying it’s just a normal stone on silver,” Levi suggested.
“What? How can we do that? Sapphires are just so expensive. How can we sell it like this?” Rish exclaimed.
“Better than losing our jobs. We can pay for it from our salary, or figure something out, only if we have jobs, and this store can sustain. If you have another idea, maybe try,” Levi retorted, her panic evident.
Rish hesitated for a moment, processing Levi’s suggestion. He knew she was right, but the idea of misrepresenting the rings didn’t sit well with him.
“I don’t know, Levi. It feels dangerous ,” Rish said, his brows furrowed in concern.
Levi sighed, feeling the pressure of the situation weighing heavily on her. “Rish, it’s either this or we’re out of a job. We need to think about our livelihoods.”
Rish nodded reluctantly, realising they didn’t have much choice. “Okay, let’s do it. But I hope this works.”
With a sense of determination, Levi and Rish set to work, carefully selecting the rings with sapphire stones and silver bands.
They knew they were taking huge risks, but they were willing to do whatever it took to save their jobs.
“Let’s just do it. This happened all because of that freaking girl. We are suffering here. If she had just taken the rings without this demand for silver, we wouldn’t be in this situation. Now we’ll have to pay for the rings with our own salaries. Who knows what they will choose and how much it will cost,” Rish angrily lashed out, his voice low but filled with hate.
Because who even wanted to show anger to Priyank Sharma’s soon-to-be wife? No matter how angry he was, Rish knew his place better than anything.
“Yeah, she’s just pretending to be innocent and not wanting anything good. How dumb was she even talking?” Levi chimed in.
Levi and Rish worked quickly to find the silver rings adorned with sapphire stones.
As they worked, Rish’s anger fueled. He couldn’t shake the feeling that they were being unfairly punished for unreasonable demands.
Levi shared the same anger as Rish’s, her hands trembling slightly as she worked. She couldn’t believe they were resorting to such measures just to keep their jobs.
After what felt like an eternity, they finally finished the task and collected some silver rings with sapphire stones on them.
“We did it,” she said, forcing a smile. “Let’s hope he doesn’t notice the difference.”
“I just hope he never even comes back, and that girl, if I ever get my eyes on her, I will surely not be able to take my anger away. Such a cunning girl, these rich people are just out of their mind.”
