“Sir, we don’t keep silver collections. This store is exclusively for diamonds and other exclusive stones,” the salesman, with fear clouding his eyes, replied.
Knowing exactly who he was dealing with, he looked at the woman beside him, who was shivering a bit. He knows they both are like walking on a thin thread; once it breaks, they will fall.
Though they both attend to rich people every day, Priyank is an old customer and a dangerous one too.
Dealing with rich people and dealing with someone who is sitting above all rich are both way different.
And this is the first time he is asking for such a low-budget thing, which they don’t keep in the store because no one comes here to buy silver or gold. It’s always expensive stones, no matter how big or small it is.
“What the hell, then why do you even have this store when it can’t provide good? What is with these only exclusive stones things? You think I am poor who can’t buy the so-called exclusive things?” Priyank’s blood boiled as he asked.
Here he is dropping his arrogance and stuff to buy silver just because of his lady, but this incompetent staff makes it sound like he asked for the moon.
The salesman gulped, realising he had to tread carefully. “I apologise, sir. We specialise in high-end jewellery, catering to a specific clientele. Silver items are not part of our priority.”
Priyank clenched his jaw, visibly frustrated. “I want silver,” he said, shooting a disdainful look at the salesman
‘He literally lost his head?!’ Priya asked herself in shock, unable to understand the reason for his extreme anger. He was behaving as if he could demand anything from the store, which was totally illogical.
But of course, Priyank, his logic always flies. He lives a life where he just thinks he can do anything.
“But sir…” the saleswoman tried to interrupt, but she was immediately silenced when she looked into his eyes, which were shooting glares, clearly showing his annoyance.
Seeing the fire in his eyes, the saleswoman wisely decided not to push further. She knew it was best not to anger someone like Priyank any further.
“I don’t want excuses. My soon-to-be-wife wants silver rings for us, and I want the best ones. I don’t care where you arrange them from, but I want them,” Priyank ordered, his tone authoritative.
He looked towards Priya, who was shocked and a bit embarrassed by his behaviour.
But he wanted her to see that there was nothing in life he couldn’t provide for her.
He could do anything for her, and everyone would kneel down to his demands, fulfilling them all.
No matter how, at the end of the day, it was him who held the control.
Priya bit her lip, feeling a mix of shame and discomfort at Priyank’s assertiveness.
“Alright, I’ll see what I can do,” the saleswoman said, trying to ease Priyank anger.
“That’s better. I want the rings within ten minutes. Either you both arrange it, or else I will see how this so-called store will run and how you both will keep your jobs,” Priyank threatened, his lips curling into a smirk, knowing exactly where to hit.
No matter what, he knew that these types of people depended on their jobs, and he knew how to use that to his advantage. Their livelihoods were at stake, and he had the upper hand.
And to be honest, he didn’t want to deny Priya her one and only wish. He didn’t want to appear weak in front of her.
The saleswoman nodded nervously, realizing the gravity of the situation. She hurriedly went inside with the salesman to find the silver rings.
While Priyank leaned back against the couch, wearing a smug expression.
Priya glanced at Priyank, feeling less than happy. She wanted to knock some sense into his head. Who behaves like this, as if he owns the store? Even if he can, because she knows he is rich, he still treats everyone so poorly. She didn’t understand how he could even call himself human.
First, he was rude to the employee in his own office, and now he was being unfair to this staff, when it wasn’t even their mistake.
“It’s your mistake, why did you ask for silver? Couldn’t you just take the rings without making a fuss?” the voice in her head reasoned.
‘No, I’m not in the wrong, it’s him. Why should I be the one who gets the blame?’ she tried to explain herself, not knowing why this thought even came into her head.
She is not the problem, it’s Priyank, it’s him. Why should the blame be on her?
‘If you’re really running away. The cost of the rings and gowns won’t dent Priyank’s wallet anyway.’
Priya felt a surge of frustration as she thought about Priyank’s behaviour.
She wished she could knock some sense into his head, but she knew it was futile.
She sighed heavily. “Priyank, why do you have to be so aggressive all the time?”
“I just want the best for us, Priya. I won’t settle for anything less.”
Priyank’s face showed how proud he was at the moment, behaving as if he were doing some noble deed, when in reality, he was just tormenting the staff here.
In Priya’s eyes, someone needed to punch him in the face so he could understand what wrong he was doing.
She felt he must have fallen on his head in childhood, which is why he turned out like this.
Otherwise, she couldn’t believe a normal person could be like him. He seemed like a different breed altogether.
She seethed silently. “Can’t you see Priyank? It’s not right,” she finally burst .
Priyank’s expression darkened for a moment, then he shook his head dismissively. “You just don’t understand, Priya. This is how things are done.”
Priya clenched her fists, struggling to keep her voice calm. “No, Priyank, this is not how things should be done. You’re hurting people.”
Priyank’s eyes flashed with annoyance. “Fine, if you want to lecture me about morality, do it at home.”
Priya felt a knot form in her stomach, realising he wasn’t getting her point.
His nonchalant behaviour screamed that he didn’t care about anything he did.
He harmed the employee in his office, physically there, and now he was doing it mentally here, even though the staff of this store weren’t his employees.
‘You are just impossible’
