Priya, Daisy, and Mary all looked at Priyank as he spoke.
“I want to marry,” Priyank dropped the bomb, causing everyone’s eyes to widen.
“Who?” Daisy asked, her intuition already guessing Priyank’s intention.
But she was shocked that he wanted to marry, clearly feeling like she might have a heart attack.
Her weak heart couldn’t handle her son dropping bombs like this.
“Priya, I want to marry her,” Priyank pointed his finger towards Priya.
He had been thinking about it all night yesterday.
That’s how he came up with the idea that if he married her, she would be with him, and he wouldn’t have to stress about kidnapping her or worrying everyone.
At least his mom would be at peace, and so would his heart.
Because he knew Priya was meant for him, so marriage would solidify their relationship, and that would be the best.
“Are you out of your mind?” Mary asked, her voice rising, and her blood pressure spiking.
She couldn’t believe her ears that he had just said he would marry her daughter.
Priya sat there, shocked, when she heard him say he wanted to marry her, feeling like he had already lost his mind for sure.
“I think we should go home,” Priya stood up, grabbing Mary’s hand, eager to leave as quickly as possible.
“You’re not leaving until we discuss this, sweetheart. We’re getting married, and that’s final,” Priyank glared, warning her.
Priya met his gaze directly with a serious expression. “I’m not marrying anyone. I am only 18. What do you mean you want to marry me? Have you lost your mind?”
“Sit, Angel. I don’t want to do something I’ll not regret, but you will, for sure,” Priyank glared, his eyes narrowing as he saw her completely reject his proposal without hearing anything more.
She had already rejected his love confession, and now his marriage proposal too. This was more than he could handle.
He was going to marry her, whether she wanted to or not. That didn’t matter.
Priya sat, tightening her grip on Mary’s hand, feeling scared and angry at the same time.
“You can continue your studies after marriage, and I can sponsor your orphanage. Isn’t that what you want to do after completing your studies? I’ll provide the best for the kids in the orphanage and take care of everything,” Priyank offered.
Priya felt a surge of frustration and helplessness. She couldn’t believe Priyank was resorting to such tactics to convince her.
“You can’t just decide my future like that,” Priya protested, her voice trembling with emotion.
But Priyank was adamant, his mind made up. He refused to take no for an answer, convinced that marrying Priya was the only way to secure their future together.
Daisy intervened, her voice firm with concern. “Priyank, you can’t force someone into marriage. It’s not right.”
Priyank’s expression softened for a moment, but then hardened again. “I’m not forcing her. I’m just making sure we’re together, no matter what.”
“I’m not marrying my daughter to someone like you, that’s final,” Mary declared.
“Who said your opinion matters? I never implied it does, so I suggest you rethink where you stand, because you don’t have a say in this,” Priyank smirked.
He was confident in his approach, fully aware that nobody could oppose him.
They would have to acquiesce, either on his terms or through his methods, and if he resorted to the latter, it wouldn’t end well for anyone.
Mary looked angry. “You might think you have all the power, but you’re mistaken. I won’t just watch you marry my daughter. She doesn’t want you.”
Priyank’s smirk faded for a moment. “You can’t stop me, Mary. Priya should be with me, and I’ll do anything to make sure she does.”
Priya, feeling confused and upset, spoke up, her voice shaky. “I won’t be controlled by you, Priyank. I have the right to choose my own life.”
“Your life is leading you to me, and if you don’t agree to marry me, then understand this: I’ll do whatever it takes to make you agree, even if it means hurting everyone close to you,” Priyank’s eyes shifted towards Mary as he delivered the threat to Priya, indicating what he was capable of.
She didn’t realise it yet. Perhaps she thought he was just bluffing or that she knew enough to not be scared, but he had to show her that she couldn’t just dismiss him like this.
Because it wouldn’t end well, it never did. He wouldn’t just harm the people around her; he would ensure they suffered, maybe even worse than death.
Priya felt a chill run down her spine as Priyank’s words sank in. She couldn’t believe he would resort to such extreme measures just to get his way. Fear mingled with anger as she stared back at him, defiance flickering in her eyes.
“You can’t control me, Priyank. Threatening my loved ones won’t make me marry you,” Priya retorted, her voice trembling with defiance.
Mary’s hand tightened around Priya’s, offering silent support in the face of Priyank’s intimidation tactics.
Priyank’s expression darkened as he realised his threats weren’t having the desired effect. Anger simmered beneath the surface as he struggled to maintain his composure.
“We’ll see about that,” Priyank muttered, his tone dripping with malice, as his lips curved into a small smirk .
“Priyank, you should take it slow. You just met her. How can you already want to marry her?” Daisy interrupted.
She knew Priya and Mary wouldn’t agree with Priyank, and his threat was something they weren’t taking seriously. But knowing her son, she knew this could end very badly if Priyank started targeting people that Priya cared about.
“I know what I need, Mom. I’m not dumb like Priya,” Priyank retorted.
Priya, whose IQ had always been on the lower side, still understood the importance of marriage. There was no way she would marry someone like him.
“My daughter may not be the smartest, but you’re the real idiot here, you cruel bastard,” Mary cursed, fiercely defending Priya.
How dare he talk about her daughter like that? Calling her dumb repeatedly while he’s the one acting like a crazed fool.
Priyank’s face twisted with anger at Mary’s words. He clenched his fists, struggling to contain his rising fury.
“You have no idea what you’re talking about, Mary. Priya is the one who’s being unreasonable here,” he shot back, his voice dripping with venom.
But Mary stood her ground, her eyes flashing with determination. “No, Priyank, you’re the crazy one here. You can’t force someone into marriage, especially not my daughter.”
