“Angel, you’d better not spit everything out, got it?” Priyank threatened as he parked his car in front of his house.
All his thoughts lingered with the fact: what if she spilled about the blow job thing? That would be so shameful.
“I don’t spit; I only talk. It’s bad to spit anything on anyone,” Priya answered, her happiness evident on her face.
Priyank just looked at her lazy eyes; her words and what he said both made such different sense.
But as usual, in her head, she would make so much sense.
“Don’t talk about whatever happened in these past three days. Do you get it now?” Priyank clarified.
He got out of the car and opened the door for her. Priya stepped out, and they both started walking.
His heart beat fast, thinking about what she might reveal to everyone, because clearly, he didn’t want the dick-sucking part, maybe coma one too.
Knock! Knock!
He knocked on the door, both standing in front of it.
The door opened, Daisy and Mary standing in front as if they were waiting for them.
“Priya,” Mary immediately came forward and took Priya in her arms.
Priya hugged her back, feeling good, and the warmth of the hug calmed her nerves.
Priyank looked at his mother, who looked tired with dark circles; his heart ached seeing this sight of his mother.
He was expecting that she would be tired, but she looked totally like a zombie.
Which he was not expecting, for sure.
“Mom, are you fine?” Priyank walked forward and hugged his mother.
“I am fine, Priyank,” Daisy replied softly.
“You don’t look fine at all,” Priyank broke the hug, cupped his mother’s face, and looked at her with soft expressions.
“How can I look fine when my son decided to vanish into thin air, leaving me?” Daisy’s eyes filled with tears as she tried hard not to cry.
Seeing Priyank after a few days was overwhelming for her, especially with the stress she went through in the past three days, adding to her exhaustion.
“I’m sorry, Mom. I didn’t mean to. It’s just…” Priyank licked his lips, “things happened so fast that I was unable to get in touch.”
Priya and Mary broke the hug as they looked at Priyank and Daisy.
“So, you just kidnap people without any proper plan, huh? You do it fast, huh?” Mary’s voice filled with sarcasm as she looked and spoke.
Priyank sighed, feeling the weight of Mary’s words. “I didn’t kidnap anyone.”
Daisy wiped her tears, her exhaustion evident in her drooping shoulders. “Come inside, let’s settle and talk”
They all entered the house and settled on the sofa.
“Care to tell me how you got her with you? And where did you take her?” Daisy asked, still curious about where Priyank had taken Priya during those three days.
Because the properties owned by Priyank, Daisy was aware of them, so it was something new for her not to have any clue about his whereabouts.
“I took her to my penthouse, the one I bought before. You didn’t know about it,” Priyank truthfully answered, not lying at all.
“And why did you take her? How is it from the washroom?” Daisy questioned again, with confusion evident in her voice.
“Didn’t she tell you she had an accident and I helped her?” Priyank repeated the same explanation Priya had given yesterday.
“Do you really expect us to believe that? How did you end up in the same washroom as her? And if she had an accident, why did you feel the need to take her with you?” Mary interrupted.
“I don’t feel the need to answer an old hag. I don’t want to, and I’m not going to do it,” Priyank glared towards Mary.
He already hated this woman because she was the reason his Angel didn’t want to be with him. The tone Mary used with him was beyond what he was willing to accept from people. But here, he needed to tolerate it because of Priya.
Despite the tension thickening in the room, Priyank took a deep breath, trying to maintain his composure. He knew he couldn’t let Mary’s words get to him, not when Priya was watching.
“Priya needed help. It’s as simple as that,” he said, his voice steady.
Daisy intervened, sensing the escalating tension. “We can calmly talk, right?”
Priyank nodded, grateful for Daisy’s intervention. He glanced at Priya, who was observing things with curiosity.
“I want an answer because I don’t want him anywhere near my daughter in the future. I don’t want him within any radius of Priya,” Mary stated firmly.
Priya looked at Mary, feeling reassured, as this was exactly what she wanted too.
“That’s not happening,” Priyank spoke through clenched teeth, his expressions hardening.
As much as he would love to snap the old bones Mary had, he knew he needed to take his time to entertain such thoughts.
She was getting on his nerves, spewing nonsense and talking about taking his Angel away from him. Not happening, not even in a million years. At least, as long as he was alive, it wasn’t happening.
Priyank felt his jaw clenching as he struggled to keep his anger in check. Mary’s words were like a match to a powder keg.
“Mary, let’s not make things worse than they already are,” Daisy stepped in, her voice gentle yet firm. “I don’t think talking like this will help anyone.”
Priyank nodded, his eyes narrowing in silent frustration at Mary’s words.
“Do you really think this can be discussed calmly? Put yourself in my shoes. How would you feel if it were your daughter?” Mary questioned, her tone challenging.
Priyank closed his eyes, fighting the urge to lash out. Even though he didn’t have a sister, the way Mary phrased her question made him imagine someone daring to harm her. He knew he would have reacted violently in such a situation.
But who would dare to challenge him? No one.
It was always survival of the fittest, and if anyone dared to harm his non-existent sister, they would either end up dead or have to kill him. It was as simple as that.
“I understand your emotions, but getting angry won’t solve anything,” Daisy tried to diffuse the tension, aware that the more Mary spoke, the angrier Priyank would become, leading to an unpleasant outcome.
“I have something to say.”
