Chapter 82
“Firstly, you look beautiful, my queen.” Alpha Federico began like he wasn’t the one who just picked this dress for me and I couldn’t help but smile and bow even lower than I had just done earlier.
“Always trying to please you by being the best,” I said even though I wasn’t sure that reply would be enough.
“Very true Azalea and that’s why took your initial position from you …” Alpha Federico said and I knew with how he kept pausing with everything he said he was spitting and Lucy, Isabelle, and Kade were on the edge as they thought he was about to punish me for a crime but I could see it in Alpha Federico that he wasn’t going to put in a lower place but still I was a bit confused since there was no chair beside him for me to take up the position but I remained calm.
“Alpha.” I heard from behind me and when I turned it was a man who carried a very beautiful chair that looked just like the alpha chair Federico sits on.
“Bring the chair and place it beside me.” Alpha Federico said and for the first time since I stepped in Luther stood up.
“Father!! No!!” He yelled but the chair was still placed there and then I turned to look at Lucy and the other brides and their eyes almost popped out as they understood very well all that was happening. I was about to take my first seat as Luna and I couldn’t help but smile happily.
“Luther, sit back down.. you can’t make any changes to my decision, Azalea will become queen whether you like it or not.” Alpha Federico said and stood up pointing his hands out to me so I could take it which I did grandly and with so much grace he escorted me till I took a seat.
This was it, I had worked so hard to get here… I worked so hard just so I could sit on this throne and feel the power a queen has felt so good, all my efforts felt so good. Alpha Federico raised his glass and I knew it was for a cheer with Alpha Rozan and the rest joined in the cheers, I also stood up with a glass in my hand as I patiently waited for the announcement from Alpha Federico.
“Cheers everyone, cheers to my most beautiful bride becoming the queen, and cheers to me for finally picking a Luna to rule by my side as queen.” He announced and I could feel people choking even without having their drinks yet but Alpha Rozan had something to say from the way he looked at me and then back at Alpha Federico.
“You wanted to make her your queen? What makes her so special is to be the one sitting on the throne.” Alpha Rozan asked and Alpha Federico couldn’t help but chuckle.
“She is worth a thousand more than you can ever imagine so don’t ever try to underestimate her or say something that won’t go well in my eyes and to all of you including Lady Rosa must respect Azalea’s words… She is the second in command after Luther so her words and commands are valid no matter what you hope to understand.” Alpha Federico warned them all and that made me so happy that he was finally by my side even though I knew he would still get angry and beat me when next I did something wrong like sneak around with Luther.
“Father, this isn’t even right…why is she still the queen when you have other brides,” Luther asked and looked angrier than he sounded, he looked like someone stole something from him.
“You should shut up Luther when I am talking, I want Azalea to be in the right place when her family sees her.”
“They aren’t my family,” I muttered sure that Federico wouldn’t have heard any of the things I said.
“Alpha why her? What is she so experienced in that I am not!! I was by your side for five good years and now Azalea was here for just a few months and you made her your queen…so easily!!” Lucy ran out angrily and even though I felt her pain I was still happy that I still became Luna even though she slept with my husband.
“Azalea, are you going to accept the position,” Luther asked, and even though I had little feeling for him I didn’t want that to be the reason why I would lose this position to Lucy and I knew how hard I had worked just to be here, everyone ears were all around me as all they wanted to hear was I’d I would say yes or no.
I cleared my throat and stood up a bit hesitant but had only one answer in my head.
“Yes, I would become the queen and I can’t wait for the coronation as that is the only thing stopping me from being the Luna and the queen,” I said and I knew that I had put them in a difficult position as they had nothing to say but keep quiet.
“You had the easy way, I guess you are finally using your witch tactics to get into a higher position,” Isabelle said and that was when I lost it, I dropped my cup on the table and walked down clearly aware of the authority and position I had now.
I stood in front of her and raised my hand in anger, and without hesitation, I slapped her harshly on the face, and before she could say another word I slapped her on the other cheek.
“Why did you just slap me!!?” She questioned and I moved closer to her but this time she looked scared.
“That is for stealing what belonged to me and still calling me a witch when you are the witch,” I muttered to her with a smirk.
