Chapter 80
“I have had nightmares too, not once but twice,” Lucy said and I could see very clearly that Lucy was lying, this was her chance to finally put me in more trouble.
“What do you mean nightmares? I am asking why I am being accused of using black magic when I don’t even have access to my inner wolf,” I said to them, making Isabelle angry. I knew she wasn’t expecting that it wouldn’t work out.
“You still don’t have access to your inner wolf?” Kade asked for the first since I joined the table, or should I say for the first time since I was thrown out of their palace.
“Isn’t it obvious that I never got it back,” I teased before rolling my eyes at him and for the first time my gaze fell on Luther who had a worried look on his face.
“It can never be true, Azalea isn’t that kind of person,” Luther said and just as he uttered those words he smiled at me like he was trying to reassure me but I looked away with guilt.
“I said the same thing son, Azalea can never do something like that so you should at least trust in her and believe your nightmares must be because of another reason, maybe someone else is trying to get back at you.” Alpha Federico said with a relaxed grin.
“It’s true, I know it’s Azalea…I am very sure of it!!! She is trying to get back at me because she will soon be the queen and I took her mate from her but I am not an easily fazed bitch!!” Isabelle yelled and Alpha Rozan had to pull her back to her seat and caution her while I just sat there very confident and a wide grin plastered on my face, I might not have done something so bad as she claimed but I am happy that she feels tormented, I am happy that she finally sees e as a threat to her and finds me threatening.
“Are you sure you were seeing things or you are just seeing things because you are scared of what I might do to you or…you think I want to harm you which I don’t give a darn about any of that,” I said very slowly and even though Alpha Federico wasn’t saying anything I could see a small smile sneak up on his face, he clearly must be expecting me to say this thing to the and that’s why he called for the meeting.
“Azalea!! Would you stop saying things like that, for goodness sake you two were sisters.” Alpha Rozan said and even though I cared so much about him I still couldn’t stop myself from scoffing at the ridiculousness he was to call us sisters when I wasn’t even his blood.
“We aren’t even related, you know that DAD!” I exclaimed and made sure to exaggerate the last part before looking away.
“But I took you two as sisters and you both ruined it by fighting each other for a man who only loved Isabelle.” Alpha Rozan said as I tried to hold in the anger in me.
“You think I even got the chance to fight for what was mine,” I said bitterly. Alpha Federico could sense that I wasn’t okay with what they just said and that made him stand up with a fierce gaze at Alpha Rozan.
“You both can’t walk in here and cause trouble or try to trouble my wife.” Alpha Federico warned.
“Your wife is a witch and that’s the truth,” Kade said unaware of what he just did, and just as I expected Alpha Federico began to chuckle as he looked around.
“Do you think I like you or plan to be on good terms with you after what you did?” Alpha Federico questioned with a very gentle voice.
“What did I do?” Kade asked a bit too confidently about the questions.
“You fucker!!! You hurted my wife and I know if it hadn’t been for that I would have met her but she is still my wife so that makes it very clear to you that I won’t tolerate bad words at my wife like calling her a witch.” Alpha Federico said and that made me happy but as I turned my head to the other direction I saw Luther looking sad. I knew he wanted to take care of me and support me but couldn’t do it.
“You came to the wrong person with the kind of rubbish you just said so I would be able to get into more issues in this palace,” I said one last time before standing up to leave but Alpha Federico held my hands before I could do anything.
“Don’t leave like that, they need to promise not to ever come here to disturb you.” Alpha Federico said and that made me very happy.
“I am being serious alpha Federico,” Isabelle said to Federico with a pleading glare as she looked at me and then Lucy from time to time.
“I don’t care, Isabelle, Azalea is mine and I know her more than anyone else’s so you can’t change the way I see her.” Alpha Federico said and with that he stood up and held my hands, walking me out of the dining hall clearly saying the breakfast had ended before it even began.
“Alpha Federico,” I muttered but he continued to walk away while pulling me with himself down the hallway.
“What?” He questioned and stopped making me stop.
“Why are you supporting me even though you aren’t sure I am right or if they are telling the truth?” I asked Alpha Federico who seemed to have spaced out immediately.
“Because, because I love you..” he said, making me speechless.
“And you don’t have to love me back,” he added before walking away and I felt my hand shaking with doubt all over again. Alpha Federico might be ruthless but he never lies about his words.
