I confirmed, sharing all the things Cassandra had said at the pool and expressing my sadness as well.
“Diego… I want to see my father again. I want to attend this party and wish him well. But most importantly, he needs to know what really happened to me. I didn’t tarnish his name. Those monsters caused it!” I vented out, covering my face with my palms.
My heart was aching just thinking about my struggle. I felt scared of the step I was about to take and also desperate in seeing my Dad.
I really want him to know that his girl never did him wrong. I have always been his good girl.
“Is that what you want?” Diego asked, taking my hands off my face. “Do you want to see your father?”
“Yes,” I nodded, feeling my eyes welling with tears. “I do.”
With a comforting smile, Diego pulled closer and pecked me on the forehead, calming the trembles engulfing my heart.
“Then you’ll see him. We’ll attend that party together, okay?” He caressed my face, wiping off the tears that came dripping out from my eyes.
I smiled and nodded again, before burying myself in Diego’s arms for comfort.
My fear was gone. At least he’s going to be there with me. But… Won’t father get mad if he sees Diego?

Later at noon, Diego came back to confirm that the party was indeed taking place here in this pack.
He got Arnold to investigate and the Beta delivered his report on the celebration taking place at the same building Casey mentioned.

I hummed, feeling pleased about that feedback.

Diego nodded.
He explained what the guards had found when they got to that place. No one was around nor was there any spy of Woods or Henry watching.
The guards had gotten in and found the house empty.
“When I recalled what you said this morning, I thought about the secret lift in my office and told them to look for any secret entrance. And they found one. An underground tunnel built under the house.”
This amused me further.

“They’ll head out this night to search where that road leads.”
“That’s great. You’re getting closer to your goal,” I smiled, placing my arms around his neck.

Touched, I decided to ask for something I really want for the both of us. A whole day with my Alpha Lord, away from work and all these dangerous stuffs. Just a day with him after the mission.

But before I could bring this to him, Arnold called, taking Diego’s mind off me.

My pocket was empty before, but now it has something inside!
Reaching for this item, I pulled it out and realized it was a card with a phone number and… An Address?
I lifted my eyes at Henry and couldn’t find him at the table anymore. I hovered my gaze around but still didn’t find him.
He was gone.
Glancing at the card one more time, I stared at this address and suspected this place to be some kind of hidden place in a quiet part of this pack.
Either his own resident or a motel.
Still, I’ve got something real good in my hand. “Diego would be thrilled when he sees what I got,” I smiled, keeping the card back in my pocket.
Diego didn’t return. One of the guards got a call from him, saying they should take me back to my room and watch over till he’s back.
I could understand the nature of his work and agreed to this.
They took me back and kept guard, until Diego arrived.
He apologized for leaving me all alone but I changed the mood by showing him the card.
“What’s this?” He asked, taking it from my hand.
With pride, I shared, ” That’s a gift from our dear billionaire himself.”
He was surprised to see both phone number and address on it. Then he understood the message behind the horny Wolf’s surprise. “When did he give this to you?”
“At the game room, after you left to answer your call. He slipped this into my pocket,” I explained.
“Henry has fallen into the web already. He already made his needs wanted at the pool and even in the corridor before you showed up,” I shared.
Diego didn’t know all these because I didn’t tell him and he didn’t even ask. He was focused on tracking down Woods, forgetting about Henry.
But after seeing this card, he was happy.
“You’ve done well, Anna. I’m so proud of you,” He said, expressing his happiness with kisses to my face.
I chuckled at his behavior, asking what he plans on doing now.
“Are we going to call him?” I asked, glancing at the card then at him.
That’s when Diego pulled out a different phone from his pocket and said, ” You’ll do the calling. Let him hear your voice and know that you’re indeed the one he’s talking to.”
He handed the phone to me, giving me the go ahead.
Accepting his decision, I contacted Henry’s line, and the Billionaire responded without allowing the phone to ring twice. “I’ve been waiting for you, my beautiful goddess.”
He chortled at his end, irritating me.
Diego gave me a sign to be calm and be the foxy goddess he wants.
Well, I went into character, using my sweet voice to tease Henry.
The billionaire expressed his desire to have me tonight, crafting out a plan for us to meet without Diego knowing.

I had no choice but to do. So, I agreed to Henry’s request, deciding to visit him in two days time.
He was thrilled.

“Sure, I’ll be there. Bye,” I said, ending the call.
Done, I lifted my eyes at Diego, who took the phone from me and said, ” That will be the last time he’ll ever see you again once I’m done with him.”
He took a picture of the address and sent it to Arnold, telling the Beta to find the location in preparation for the meeting.
While he was doing this, I began to feel off about this mission.
It’s like everything is changing.
Diego is putting his whole head into it just because of this Alpha called Woods.
It feels like he’s drifting away from our main target which is getting the drugs.
But I won’t complain about it.
Anthony Woods or Alpha Woods is like the mastermind behind the distribution of that substance.
So for Diego’s focus to be mainly on him… “I know you’ll succeed,” I said out to my Alpha, who was still talking to Arnold.
When he heard me, he gave out a smile and ended his call with the Beta, putting all his attention on me.
Sweetly, he pulled me into his hold and gave me an embrace, vowing to get me my life back.
