It was time to return back to my office, as soon as Alessia left.
She left on her own accord. Against my will.
I never wanted or intended to let her go, pending the fact that I have enemies who are watching and lurking for every weaknesses of mine.
I can’t say she has being weakness yet, but sooner or later, I’ll have to admit that she has become my weakness, and she also has a place on my heart.
It was wierd to admit it. The fact that she already has a spot in my heart. In fact, she owns my heart.
A heartless man like myself. Who would stop at nothing to kill and send evil people to hell.
Now, a woman owns my heart, because I had let her.
Because part of me wanted to be loved.
To be cared for.
Alessia might take it that I don’t want to open up for her, whereas, I didn’t want to admit the fact that I love her.
Dressing in a button down shirt and trousers, I combed my jet black hair, and left my room, heading towards my office.
Another fact came as a shock to me.
When it comes to my underworld business, I never joke with any of them.
Infact, Black Stone Clan belongs to me.
I built it from the scratch, so why would risk jeopardising it over a woman?
That bitter fact remained imprinted inside my head.
Alessia has came to dominate in my life, and my Bunny, has messed up my world, and everything I lived and hold for.
” Boss,” the voice of Dragon, dragged me out of my ruminations.
I glanced at him, not a word leaving my mouth.
” Your father asked for you.” Dragon started. ” He wants you at his place in Perugia.”
” And why should I go?” My voice was deep to a chilling end.
I get sensitive when my father’s name get mentioned. And for some reason best known to only me, I really wish I never had a father.
They were deep dark secrets, that I didn’t wish to tell anyone, because I get the feeling that they might leave once they learn about my dark past.
In particular, I was referring to Alessia. I didn’t feel the need to tell her, as a small part of me thinks she would leave once she get to find out about my shameful dark secrets.
” He said you must visit him, as it is of importance.” Dragon added and I fixed him with a stern look.
” I’m sorry, Boss.” He went ahead to apologize.
” Let’s leave.” I said, double checking my appearance, before I leave.
As we walk down the hallway, Dragon spoke up.
” Boss, should I prepare the car or you will leave in your motorbike?” He asked.
” I will go with the motorbike.” I replied and took out the keys from my pocket.
Once I got to the garage, I turned on the engine of the motorbike, get on, and drove out of the clan with the speed of lightening.
I trust my intuition implicitly and it tells me that the meeting with Father would go wrong even before it starts.
That’s how it had always been.
We never come to agreement on something, because I hate the fact that he always uses his fucking fatherly card against me.
I would rather off myself than to be controlled but that mini devil known as my father, always plays that fucked up card with me.
He always get on my freaking nerves.
I got to Perugia in three hours, and I really hoped that this meeting with Father is worth the hours I spent on the road.
I didn’t even waste anymore time, as I pushed the bronze gate open and was met with different monsters, who instantly bowed their head upon seeing me.
I ignored them and made my way to the Kings’ Hall, my father’s supposed throne room.
To him, he thinks he is the Boss or rather King of the Underworld, but everyone knows that I, Cassius Fucking Riven, I’m the king of the underworld.
” Why did you ask for me?” I didn’t even waste anytime, before hitting the nail in the head.
I’ve got no time to waste here.
” Aren’t you impatient, Cassius?” He smirked, drawing a slow, satisfying drag from the huge cigarette in between his lips.
” I have no fucking time to waste, Hercules Riven.” My voice grew louder than usual.
He was trying to get on my nerves once again, knowing fully well that I’m an impatient man.
” Take a seat.” He said, drawing in another drag of the huge cigarette in between his lips.
If only mother knew that her husband was still smoking. She would have whiped his ass.
When it comes to Mother, Father becomes a golden retriever, but when he is in his clan, he becomes a devil.
I could remember times without number, when Mother warned Father against smoking, as it wasn’t good for his health.
But here he was, smoking it behind her back.
I exhaled slowly, trying to calm the raging anger inside of me, as I took my seat on a sofa.
I threw a glance at him, urging him to start talking before I lose control.
” You’re to get married.” He started, and a scoff tore off my lips. The most ridiculous word I’ve heard today.
” Don’t you have any serious matter you would love to discuss with me?” I asked, my jaw clenching. ” I didn’t come here to joke or fool around with you, Hercules.”
” Do I look like I’m joking?” Father stood up from his fucked up throne, walking slowly towards me, with the intention of puffing the smoke from his cigarette on my face.
” You’re to get married to Magdalene’s daughter, Adeline.”
A dark chuckle left my lips, as I glared at Father.
” It seems you’re bored of living, isn’t it?” I said, taking a step close, as I leaned to whisper into his ear. ” I can help you end your miserable life as soon as possible, but I just pity Mother, because she loves you so much.”
” You can’t kill me, Dominico.”
” Don’t. Fucking. Call. Me. That!” My voice raged like that of a heavy thunder.
With my blood shot eyes, I turned to walk away.
Just a few steps away, Father spoke up, causing every bone in my body to harden.
” Magdalene will stop at nothing to get what she wants.” He started. ” And the fact that she wants you for her daughter, meant that she would clear every obstacle hindering that.”
I jerked to a stop, but I didn’t turn back.
I might do something I would regret if I eventually turned back and take even a step closer to Father.
” What are you trying to imply?” I asked, my teeth clenching together.
” Alessia,” my body turned bloody cold at the mention of her name. ” I will kill her myself if you don’t get married to Adeline.”
