Cassius didn’t want me to leave. Infact, he wanted me to remain in his clan forever, but that wasn’t possible.
I had a life before I met him, and I couldn’t just abandon it because he wanted me to remain in his clan.
” I know you don’t want me to leave, but I have to.” I said, putting on my clothes in front of me, while he kept staring at me with a blank expression.
When I thought I knew him very well, but it turns out I didn’t even know much about him.
I couldn’t fathom the expression he had on his face as he stared at me.
His eyes dark, his expression blank, everything about him was void.
” I told you that you could stay here. Why are you being stubborn, Bunny?” He asked after a long silence.
” I’m not being stubborn. I’ve to go home and return to work. My leave is over, and I also miss CeCe.” I replied, rolling my hair into a bun.
” I can tell Dragon to bring her over whenever you miss her.”
” Yes, I know you’re capable of doing that, but I don’t know anyone here. I can’t just come into this clan and you expect me to adapt that quickly.”
” You don’t have to adapt quickly, you can take your time.” Cassius said, his face devoid of any form of emotions.
If he were a normal man, it won’t hurt to show through his expression that he didn’t want me to leave.
But Cassius was blank and empty.
He didn’t meant his words or maybe, I’m taking it the wrong way.
” If you miss me, which I don’t think you will, you can come over to my apartment.” I flashed him a smile and grabbed my bag. ” For now, I’m leaving.”
I stayed for an entire day in his clan, and despite the fact that he had many works and reports to take care of, he never left my side.
Cassius wanted to show me how he truly felt about our relationship, but it seems hard, because he couldn’t express himself.
He wasn’t in love with me, at least for now, he just developed interest in me and I became his obsession.
Throughout the time we spent together, many calls came in, but he didn’t take any of the calls.

I couldn’t stop myself from walking closer to the drawer where the phone was.
I took it and picked up the call.
” Hello,” I said when I didn’t hear a sound from the caller’s end.
” Who is this?” I asked again, but the caller hung up, and my brows creased.
” What was that?” I muttered and dropped the phone, making my way out of the room.
On my way to where Dragon was waiting with the car, I came across a lady who was glaring daggers at me.
I wanted to ignore her, but my curiosity got the best of me.
I stopped to look at her, while she kept glaring at me.
” What? Do you know me?” I asked and she hissed.
” I guess you’re one of his bitches, aren’t you?” The lady stepped closer, her hands folded under her chest.
From the way she look and sound, she wasn’t just a lady. She is part of the mobsters in Cassius clan, I’m sure of it.
” No, I’m not. I’m Alessia, his girlfriend.” The words slipped out of my mouth before I could stop it.
But it wasn’t entirely false. Cassius said I could Introduce him as my boyfriend or husband, whichever i wanted.
” You make me laugh.” The lady scoffed, as she took another step closer.
” Boss will never make a petite bitch like you his girlfriend.” She was mean with her words, and no matter how much I tried to control myself, I couldn’t.
” Well, this petite bitch here is your Boss’s girlfriend, take it or leave it.” I flaunt my hair to her face, turned around and began to walk to the parking space.
” Enjoy it while it last, because once you learn about Boss’s past, you will leave willingly.”
Her words jerked me to a stop, and when I turned around to ask what she meant by that, she walked away.

As I made my way to the parking space, I couldn’t help but ponder about what the lady said earlier.
What past was Cassius keeping away from me?
I thought he had told me everything about him?
Was the lady saying the truth, or she was just jealous?
My mind was clouded with different thoughts.
” Get in.” Dragon’s voice jotted me out of my thoughts.
” Oh,” I smiled and hopped in. ” Thank you, Dragon.”
As he drove out of the clan, I felt the urge to ask him questions about Cassius.
I knew it was wrong to do so, but I was desperate.
” Do you know anything about your Boss’s past? Like an event that happened years back?” I asked, staring at Dragon through the inner mirror, while his eyes were fixed on the road.
” No, why did you ask?” He replied.
” I met a lady earlier and she told me that if I learn about Cassius’s past, I will leave on my own. I’m so curious about it, that I can’t get it out of my mind.”
” Why not ask him yourself?” Dragon asked and I fell silent, pouting my lips.
” I already did. He told me some things about himself, but he intentionally left some things.” I heaved a sigh.
” Maybe he isn’t ready to let you know. So until then, don’t try to find out by yourself. Boss can be quiet scary sometimes.”
I felt the hair at the back of my neck stand straight at the latter words from Dragon.
Cassius can be quiet scary sometimes?
That was the confirmation that I knew little to nothing about him.
