“Where do you think you’re going in that state?”
Johnny gestured with his eyes for her to look down at herself.
With swollen lips, flushed face, messy hair, smudged makeup, covered in sweat, and clothes disheveled as if she had just been in a fight, how could she go home like this?
Her parents would definitely call the police!
“You don’t have to worry about me.”
“Are you really going to make your parents worry about you?” Johnny sighed and seemed to compromise with Tilda, “Come to my place first. Take a shower and change your clothes before going home.”
Tilda immediately refused, “I’m not going.”
Wasn’t that like walking into the lion’s den?
“My parents won’t come this time for sure. I’ll message them in advance. At least tidy yourself up. Otherwise, even if you don’t go on the blind date, you won’t be able to go home like this.”
Tilda originally planned to go to Malcolm’s place.
But after some contemplation, she thought Johnny had a point.
With her current appearance, Malcolm would also worry and ask questions! She hadn’t thought about how to explain it yet.
“Come back with me and change your clothes. I’ll treat you to something delicious,” Johnny said.
“But you don’t have any of my clothes at your place!”
“I’ll buy them! Whatever you want, I’ll buy it for you.” As long as she didn’t wear this pink outfit again!
Looking at it made him annoyed!
Since there was no better option now, Tilda gave in. “Alright, let’s go.”
“Go to my place?” Johnny’s handsome face immediately lit up.
Tilda ignored him and turned her head away.
Johnny squinted his eyes and smiled, happily taking the car keys and going ahead.
Her phone kept buzzing with message notifications.
Tilda looked down and saw messages from Rosalind.
“Did you go? How is it?”
“Make sure to reply to me as soon as you see the message!”
“Do you like your date?”
“It seems like you quite like him. You haven’t had time to look at your phone.”
Tilda pouted her lips, feeling a bit upset. The more she thought about it, the more aggrieved she felt, and she burst into tears.
Johnny, who was driving, was startled!
He quickly slammed on the brakes and then pulled over to the side of the road.
“What’s wrong with you?”
“It hurts… Johnny, you bastard! It hurts so much. You don’t care about me!”
Johnny was a little anxious as he looked up and down at her. “Where does it hurt? Should I take you to the hospital?”
“Get lost! Where does it hurt? Don’t you know? You bastard!”
Tilda cried hard, wiping away her tears over and over again.
Johnny felt helpless but didn’t know how to comfort a girl. He could only sit there stupidly and hand her tissues. “Stop crying, okay?”
“Johnny, you bastard!”
“Yes, yes, I’m a bastard. You can curse me as much as you want. Just stop crying!”
Tilda paused for a moment, looked up at his conflicted and worried expression, and couldn’t help but burst into laughter…
“Are you crazy, Johnny? Why did you come here to meddle in my blind date? Could it be that you’ve really fallen for me?”
Johnny laughed out of anger.
“If I don’t like you, why would I come here to stop your blind date and end up being scolded by you? Who has ever treated me like this?”
“How would I know if this is your usual way of picking up girls?”
“Do I need to make the first move when picking up girls?”
Tilda looked at him and sneered. “How would I know? This is your expertise, not mine.”
“I promise you that I will never pick up girls again in the future. I will only pursue you!”
“Get lost!”
