Ulric released her and propped himself up with his arm.
Rosalind sighed and wrapped her arms around his waist. “I didn’t directly refuse you, did I? I just need some time to think about it. Is that not allowed? Since when did you become so domineering?”
“If it were someone else, there wouldn’t even be a chance for discussion.”
In his career, he was an authoritative figure in the business world. Privately, he was the aloof and noble young master of the Walters family. When did he ever need to lower his head and listen to others?
Only Rosalind…
She smiled, pressing her cheek against his back. “I know you’re good to me.”
“You take advantage of my indulgence.”
“Yes, I do!”
Ulric’s expression grew serious as he held her hand tightly. “Give me your answer in a month, and don’t disappoint me.”
“Okay.”
He got up to turn on the light, illuminating the hospital room.
Rosalind wanted to go prepare a bath for Ulric, but as soon as her feet touched the ground, she felt a slight pain in her lower abdomen.
Ulric noticed her frown. “What’s wrong?”
“It hurts a little.”
“I’ll go find a doctor.”
Rosalind quickly grabbed him and gave him a playful glare. “Don’t you have a clue? You’re the culprit.”
Even if they called a doctor, how could she explain the situation?
Could she say it because he went too deep just now?
Ulric’s handsome face froze, and his ears turned slightly red. “I won’t do that again.”
At that moment, he wasn’t thinking straight. The more he wanted to sort things out, the more restless and irrational he became.
Although he wanted her more than usual, he never let her experience any pain. Even if he had to endure himself, he always prioritized her feelings.
If Ulric really let his sexual desire get the best of him, Rosalind would truly be in unbearable pain!
…
Inside the bathroom, steam filled the air.
Rosalind carefully wiped Ulric’s back, afraid of touching his wounds.
“I had Cedric buy a villa in Faydale.”
She was about to wash a towel when she heard Ulric speak from behind her.
“Hmm? Why…”
“Don’t you want to see the snow in Faydale? We can stay there for a while during winter.”
Rosalind’s hand paused, and she felt a pang of pain in her heart.
Ulric really took every word she said seriously. Even if it was just a passing remark or a momentary sentiment, he would remember it and plan for it.
“Buying a house there is too much. Do you want to settle in the north?”
“Because I’m not sure when you want to see the snow. If we have a place to stay, we can go whenever we want.” Ulric had cleanliness issues and didn’t like staying in hotels. If he had to go on a business trip, there was no choice. He couldn’t just buy a house in every city he visited, right? But for cities he knew he’d be returning to, he would make sure to buy a property there.
“Okay.” Rosalind nodded. “Did you already buy it?”
Ulric turned his head to look at her. “Yes, Cedric is very efficient in getting things done, as you know.”
“I want to go see it in advance when your health gets better.” She doubted she could wait until winter or see the snow in Faydale, but she could at least see the house first.
After all, it was Ulric’s kindness, and she didn’t want to leave any regrets.
“Okay, I’ll accompany you.”
“No need! You stay in Sweden and wait for me. I’ll return to the country for a visit! You’re not well enough to travel around.”
“Are you sure I’m not well enough?”
Ulric raised an eyebrow at her.
Rosalind’s face turned red instantly. “I… I didn’t mean it that way!”
“Let’s go back together.” Ulric looked into her eyes and spoke gently, “Then we’ll bring Floyd and Jake with us.”
He would personally pick up Floyd and Jake from Malcolm’s place.
