Chapter 46

Book:Billionaire's Contracted & Unloved Wife Published:2025-2-9

Ariel was sure Eva felt like killing her, but she quickly masked her emotions and smiled sweetly at Aiden.
“Ah, yes, she was my best friend in high school, Mr. Chaz… I’m just surprised and happy to see her again after so long,” Eva replied softly, looking at Ariel and feeling her heart twisting in pain.
As Eva left Aiden’s office, she gripped the catalog tightly in her hand, anger eating her up from the inside.
This was impossible, how did Ariel end up as Aiden’s secretary? How did she even get the qualification that made her fit to become Aiden’s secretary?!
Also, she had been sure that Ariel wouldn’t survive in the hands of those kidnappers, but somehow, she had managed to survive them. But then, she heard about her forced marriage with some unknown son of the Chaz and was also happy that Ariel was finally tied down and out of the way.
But right now, she couldn’t believe what she had seen inside Aiden’s office.
Ariel? His secretary?
No way!
As she thought about it, a thought suddenly popped into her head. She decided that the way Ariel had gotten this job must be because she was married to a Chaz. And, because her husband was disfigured, poor, and unknown, they decided to fix her there to help them out.
But not anymore. She was here for Aiden and no one was going to stop her from getting close to him, especially not that worthless Ariel.
In a way, she was even glad that Ariel was the one in that position, at least, she was an easy pick. She already knew that Ariel feared her so it wouldn’t be hard to scare her off. Soon, she’ll be Aiden’s secretary, and all her chances at seducing him would be maximized and well used.

In Aiden’s office, Ariel sighed in relief as Eva walked out. She had thought she would be stubborn and refuse to leave, but she had surprised her by even acting along with her in front of Aiden.
But she knew Eva, she was always two-faced.
She knew that for Eva to have even agreed to comply with her meant that she was interested in Aiden. She didn’t want him to see her ugly side, just like she always acted toward men she liked.
Whatever, she didn’t care. If Aiden liked her too, then they were free to be with each other, it was none of her business.
“I’m sorry for the inconvenience, Mr. Chaz; I’ll take my leave, too,” Anthony apologized and quickly left the office.
Ariel realized that it was just her that was left with Aiden in his office, so quickly, she turned away from him and said, “Excuse me, Mr. Chaz, I’ll be going back to my office now,” She took one step but suddenly gasped when she felt herself drawn into Aiden’s strong arms.
Aiden was frowning down hard at her, searching her tired face.
“What’s the problem, Mr. Chaz?” Ariel asked innocently.
Aiden scoffed unbelievably. “What’s the problem? You even called me Mr. Chaz,” Aiden complained angrily.
Ariel’s face looked confused, “Is what I call you a problem? Then please forgive me, Sir, do tell me a more comfortable name to address you as,” Ariel said and tried moving away from him but Aiden held her tightly by the waist.
“Is what call me a problem?” Aiden asked in a gentle tone, looking into her eyes and searching for any traces of last night’s memory.
Ariel nodded.
“Then, how about baby? You didn’t have a problem calling me that way throughout last night,” Aiden whispered.
Ariel frowned, “B-ba… Mr. Chaz, I don’t know what you’re talking about,” She replied.
Aiden’s features turned angry, “You don’t remember?” His voice was filled with an underlying storm, dark and brooding.
“Y-yes, is there something I should remember?” Ariel asked.
Aiden smiled half heartedly. “Come here, Ariel,” He held her hand gently and led her to the sofa.
He sat down, then lowered a resisting Ariel on his lap.
“You really don’t remember what happened last night?” Aiden was afraid to hear her answer. He knew she had been a little tipsy throughout the night, but he never knew she was the kind of person who forgot everything after the effect of alcohol wore off.
Ariel sighed, feeling caught in a trap as Aiden’s hand held her possessively around her waist.
What was wrong with him? Why was he suddenly being clingy and possessive with her? Was it because of what happened last night? Wasn’t he going to mock her for it?
“I don’t remember, Mr. Chaz,” She replied.
Aiden slowly traced her thighs, sliding his hands beneath her skirt and moving closer to her center.
“You forgot? How could you forget, Ariel? You told me you loved me,” he kissed the side of her neck.
Ariel froze, she did? No, she didn’t; just because she was pretending not to have any memories from last night didn’t mean she would agree to things she didn’t say.
“I never said that, Mr. Chaz,” Ariel said, crossing her legs together as Aiden’s hand kept traveling higher between her legs.
“Then tell me, what did you say? Mrs. Chaz?” Aiden had fully pulled her skirt up to her waist, his fingers dancing slowly in front of her pussy.
Ariel was surprised by what he just called her, she was about to comment on that when he suddenly slid a finger into her panties.”S-stop, please… this is inappropriate…” Ariel was breathing harshly. She felt like her body had become more sensitive to Aiden after their intimacy last night.
Unlike before, she would have found a way to escape him, but now, the thought of escaping seemed like the wrong thing to do; rather, she wanted to relax into him, spread her legs wider, and let him do whatever he wanted with her pussy.
“Shh, mm-mm, don’t close your legs…” Aiden placed a hand on her knee, pulling it open.
“I asked you a question, Ariel; what did you say to me last night?” Aiden asked, slipping his finger into her.
“Ahh…” Ariel gasped, the whole thrill of Aiden fingering her in his office was surprisingly making her wet. She was enjoying it.
“Ariel, I’ll stop if you still refuse to answer me,” Aiden threatened and slowed the speed of his finger that was pushing in and out of her pussy.
Ariel shook her head, “No, no, don’t stop…” She placed her hand on his and started moving it at the pace she wanted.
She leaned her head back on his shoulder, moaning very softly. “I-I said; I’ll love my husband if he loves me too… ahh,” Ariel arched her back, breathing rapidly.
“So you do remember, little wife? Then, doesn’t that mean you love me?” Aiden asked seriously, adding a second finger into her pussy.
He had missed her this morning, he had so many things he wanted to do to her that morning, and feeling her juicy center again reminded him of how tight she’d been clinging around his cock last night.
Ariel heard his question between her hazy hearing; his slow thrust was driving her crazy, making her lose control of all her senses.
“Doesn’t that mean you love me, Ariel?” He questioned again, finding her clit with his thumb, circling it in a way that was enough to cause Ariel to scream and graze her fingers on his thighs.
“Ngh… ahhh…” Ariel parted her lips, breathing heavily.
Aiden’s thumb on her clit was merciless, teasing and circling her in a manner that made her crave more.
Aiden smiled, he sensed she was getting close to her climax and suddenly stopped his movement inside her. He slowly slid his fingers out from her, smirking as he heard her soft whine.
Ariel was frustrated; she was almost close; why did he stop?
“Aiden…” Ariel sighed and held his hand, wanting to lead him back to her core.
Aiden maneuvered her and held her hand down, “That’s your punishment for lying to me and abandoning me. And, you’ve still not answered my question,” he whispered to her.
Ariel bit her lips; she was really frustrated; what did he mean by abandoning him? She understood she had lied about not remembering what happened between them last night, but abandoning him? She couldn’t understand what he meant.
Aiden gently placed Ariel down beside him, turning his serious face to stare at her.
“You’re only going to give me honest replies, understood?” Aiden asked, holding her hands in his.
Ariel blinked and slowly nodded. Honest replies it is then.
“Are you aware of what happened between us last night?” He asked.
Ariel nodded.
“Your words, Baby,” Aiden tilted her face to him, his eyes piercing her soul.
Ariel gulped, “Yes. I was aware,” she said.
Aiden smiled, “Good girl,” He was slowly tracing his thumb across her lips.
“Do you remember you promised to take responsibility for your actions?” He was drawing lazy circles in the palm of her hand.
Ariel bit her lips before replying. “Yes,”
Aiden nodded, frowning.
“But you went back on your words, correct?” He was leaning his face closer to hers.
Ariel paused, “Wrong.”
“Wrong?” He asked, amused.
Ariel nodded in reply.
“Then, how do you explain me waking up alone in bed?” His lips were a whisper away from her lips.
Ariel unconsciously licked her lips, “Mr. Chaz, I know I might have stepped out of line last night and might have behaved in ways that went against our contract. But, I want to apologize for-”
“Apologize? Really?” Aiden suddenly got angry and stood from her side, pacing the office.
Ariel was confused. Why was he suddenly angry?
Aiden walked back to her and stood before her, his face still darkened in anger and hurt.
“So you’re discarding me after using me? After introducing me to something so perfect, you want to snatch it from me? What we did last night means nothing to you? You’re trying to say it was just a drunken mistake?” He fumed.
Ariel was shocked. Why did he sound as if he was hurt? Has the cold-hearted Aiden Chaz turned soft for her?
Unfortunately, she wasn’t going to follow his act; he knew men, dubious and untrustworthy.
“Yes, Mr. Chaz, it was a drunken mistake, and a one-time thing, too,” Ariel shrugged and stood.
“But, you said you’d love me if I loved you…” he reminded her, his voice cracking.
Ariel felt her heart melt at how vulnerable Aiden sounded and looked, she was almost tempted to fall for his trick, but she knew better.
“Then, does it mean you love me, Aiden?” She asked softly, his eyes searching his face.
Aiden couldn’t speak; this was the question that had been on his mind all night and all day, yet, faced with it, he couldn’t still give any reply.
Ariel chuckled at herself; what a waste of time; she shouldn’t have asked.
“Don’t answer that, it’s such a stupid question after all. From now on, let’s never break the rules, Mr. Chaz. Let’s take it that what we did last night was for the sake of Grandma, for a baby. Excuse me, Mr. Chaz, I’d like to get back to work,” Ariel smiled politely and went to walk out of the office.
Aiden didn’t like how everything was unfolding; his heart felt uncomfortable, and his body felt empty as Ariel walked away from him.
This might sound crazy, but he wasn’t willing to go back to how they were before.
He quickly went and drew her into his arms, before she could open the door.
“Mr. Chaz!” Ariel gasped.
“Shh, you’re wrong about something. I didn’t do it because of Grandma, or the baby. I made love to you because I wanted to. Because I wanted you, Ariel,” He whispered in a shaky voice.
Ariel drew in a sharp breath. Could this pass as a love confession?
