On the deck that could accommodate hundreds, Tom held Agnes by the shoulder. They didn’t take out their phones to take pictures. They simply gazed quietly at the beautiful scenery before them, feeling the tranquility and happiness of the moment. The sunset was truly breathtaking, painting half the sky red. The sun peeked out from the clouds now and then, as if blessing them, reluctant to set.
The newlyweds quietly looked towards the western horizon, where large rose-colored clouds changed shape with the wind. The cruise ship sailed towards the middle of the sea. As time passed, the sun gradually sank towards the western sea. This was the first complete sunset Tom watched with Agnes, an unforgettable sight on such a vast ocean, inspiring her creativity.
After the sunset, a gentle and cool breeze arose over the sea, quite comfortable in the height of summer. The entire ship lit up brightly like daylight, resembling a glowing giant. The deck was adorned with beautiful light strips that added to the romantic and soft atmosphere when illuminated. In the kitchen below, top chefs were busy preparing fresh dishes that were served by waiters.
The cruise offered many high-end foods and entertainment options, served by dozens of young and handsome waiters on roller skates, each wearing a small bow tie. All guests were VIPs enjoying top-notch service.
Moonlight bathed everything in a gentle glow. Instruments were set up on the deck in a small performance area. As musicians arrived, the atmosphere reached its peak, giving Agnes another pleasant surprise. How romantic!
The musicians sat down and began playing melodious tunes. Guests started finding dance partners. The bright moonlight reflected off the sea like silver scales, while the luxurious cruise ship’s lights shone like daylight on the vast ocean.
“My princess, may I have this dance?” Tom extended his hand to Agnes like a gentleman.
Agnes smiled warmly and placed her hand in his. As they danced, they gazed lovingly into each other’s eyes. To Agnes, Tom’s handsome face was perfect, outshining even the moonlight.
“Beethoven’s Violin Concerto in D major,” Agnes said softly as they danced to the music. “It has a strong sense of atmosphere.”
Tom raised his eyebrows in mild surprise. “You know about this?”
Agnes smiled. “Beethoven’s work from 1806 is different from Mozart’s concertos. It wasn’t well-received at its premiere but gained great success over forty years later when conducted by Mendelssohn with Joachim as the solo violinist.”
Tom nodded. “Yes, that’s why creators need a good mindset. Even if their work isn’t recognized immediately, it might be appreciated by future generations.”
“Literary works are similar,” Agnes mused. “Many writers only gain fame posthumously and live in poverty during their lifetimes.”
“Perhaps that’s fate,” Tom comforted her. “Pain is often the source of creation.”
As the music ended, Tom released Agnes and picked up a silver microphone. In a deep voice, he addressed everyone, “Hello everyone, I am today’s groom, Tom Fritz.”
All eyes turned to him expectantly, anticipating more surprises to come.
