Chapter 1574: Lord Peter Gordon

Book:The Primus Of The Country Published:2025-2-9

“Ah!”
Lord Valerian let out a furious roar, swinging his sword with immense force that decapitated another Super Warrior. His strike carried extraordinary power, suggesting that he had mastered some unique cultivation technique. It became clear that Lord Valerian, once a contender for the previous generation’s Primus, possessed his own remarkable methods.
However, after slaying two Super Warriors, Lord Valerian’s face turned deathly pale. At that moment, yet another Super Warrior charged at him, wielding a steel blade.
Due to the exhaustion from his earlier battles, Lord Valerian’s reflexes had slowed.
Thud!
With a sickening sound, the Super Warrior’s blade struck Lord Valerian’s chest. Blood poured from the wound, staining his armor red. Fortunately, Lord Valerian’s formidable physical resistance prevented the injury from being fatal. If it had been anyone else, that blow would have surely claimed their life.
Chris wasted no time. Gripping his Dragon Slayer sword with determination, he swiftly beheaded the attacking Super Warrior.
“Are you alright?” Chris asked, looking at Lord Valerian with concern.
Lord Valerian shook his head. “I’m fine.”
Without delay, the two of them launched another assault on the remaining Super Warriors.
Through the relentless battle, Chris uncovered a secret: the strength of a Super Warrior directly correlated to their power in life. The stronger they were before death, the mightier they became after being transformed into Super Warriors.
For example, Shura and Judge had both been peerless warriors before dying. Now, as Super Warriors, they were even more formidable.
Under Chris’s leadership, tens of thousands of Death Guards swarmed the remaining Super Warriors. Watching his creations fall one by one, Daniel Williams’ expression darkened.
The ten Super Warriors had cost him an immense amount of effort to create. Now, seeing them slaughtered was a devastating loss. Crafting such creatures was an arduous process, and Daniel Williams had scoured the world just to find the ten candidates.
Unwilling to let all of his creations be destroyed, Daniel Williams issued a command to the remaining Super Warriors to attack.
“Roar!”
“Roar!”
“Roar!”
A deafening chorus of growls erupted as tens of thousands of Super Warriors charged toward Chris and his forces.
Initially, Chris had thought these creatures were mindless killing machines, driven only by a primal urge to destroy. But now, it was clear they were under Daniel Williams’ direct control.
Seeing this, Chris frowned. Eliminating so many Super Warriors at once would not be an easy task.
He turned to Lord Valerian and said, “Lord Valerian, lead the Death Guards and deal with these Super Warriors. I’ll take care of Daniel Williams.”
With that, Chris gripped the Dragon Slayer and charged toward Daniel Williams.
Daniel’s face twisted in panic as he saw Chris coming for him. He had witnessed Chris’s strength firsthand.
Grinding his teeth, Daniel shouted, “Chris, you leave me no choice! Bring out my ultimate weapon!”
At his command, several rebels carried over an iron cage. Inside the cage was a woman, her hair disheveled, hiding her face.
Daniel ordered the cage to be opened. The woman inside appeared lifeless, devoid of any aura, like a corpse. Her vacant eyes stared into nothingness, but her delicate features betrayed her beauty.
Chris hesitated for a moment, unsure of what Daniel was planning.
Daniel’s face twisted into a smug grin. “Chris, do you know what this is? This woman possesses a rare constitution that allows her to communicate with gods. I’ve turned her into a Super Warrior!”
Hearing this, Chris froze in surprise.
Before he could react, Daniel began chanting under his breath.
Moments later, black mist began to seep from the woman’s body, enveloping her entirely. Her skin turned pitch black, and a terrifying aura erupted from within her.
As the black mist consumed her, the woman suddenly opened her eyes.
Whoosh!
In an instant, she moved like lightning, striking Chris with a single palm and sending him flying backward.
Thud!
In midair, Chris coughed up blood, his face filled with disbelief.
He couldn’t comprehend how this woman’s power could be so overwhelming.
Shrouded in black mist, her face remained expressionless, but the aura emanating from her was suffocating.
Meanwhile, Daniel continued chanting.
“Peter Gordon, ancient god of Amerosia, I summon you!”
Suddenly, a chilling laugh echoed from the woman’s lips.
The eerie part? Although it was clearly a woman’s body, the laughter was distinctly male.
Daniel immediately dropped to his knees, his voice trembling with reverence. “Lord Peter Gordon!”
“Peter Gordon?”
Chris’s eyes widened in shock.
He knew exactly who Peter Gordon was-an ancient demon god from Amerosia’s mythology. But how could this woman possibly be Peter Gordon? Wasn’t Peter Gordon a man?
The woman spoke in a low, chilling voice. “This is merely a fragment of my divine consciousness. There’s no need for such formality. Rise.”
Upon hearing these words, Daniel nervously stood up.
Peter Gordon glanced down at the body he was inhabiting, shaking his head in displeasure. “This vessel is far too weak. It can’t even unleash a fraction of my power.”
Turning to Daniel, Peter Gordon’s expression darkened. “Daniel Williams, is this the best body you could find for me?”
Daniel’s face turned pale with fear. “Lord Peter Gordon, I-”
He quickly explained how Chris had disrupted his plans, ruining his preparations.
Hearing this, Peter Gordon’s gaze turned icy as he fixed his eyes on Chris. “You impudent insect. How dare you interfere with my plans?”
Chris, still reeling, struggled to make sense of the situation. Was this truly Peter Gordon’s consciousness?
But Peter Gordon was supposed to be a myth-an ancient figure from Amerosia’s distant past. How could a fragment of his consciousness exist here?
Yet Daniel’s unwavering reverence suggested otherwise.
Suddenly, Peter Gordon’s lips curled into a sinister smile as he stared at Chris.
“I never expected to encounter an Aragosti here. If I can possess your body, my plans can proceed far ahead of schedule.”
Before Chris could respond, Peter Gordon was already standing before him.
Alarmed, Chris gripped his Dragon Slayer tightly and swung it with all his might.
Boom!
The clash sent Chris hurtling backward once more.
