Reina.”Cathy said sighing deeply and she knew something is wrong.
“What’s wrong Cath, you don’t sound so good.”
“Your crazy husband was here again and he literally threatened me and Logan if we didn’t tell him where you are. When are you coming back?”
Reina sighed, for these past four months Nico has reached out to her but she has blocked him at every turn, even Bella had called and said that he isn’t doing okay and that she’s never seen her brother in such a state. He also hasn’t been sleeping she had mention… and as much as it kills her to say this she wasn’t ready to see him.”I don’t know Cath. I need more time.”
“More time. It’s been four months Reina don’t you think you should forgive him and come back. He doesn’t look so good.”
“When are you bringing the stuff I asked for.”Reina said.
“Reina…..”
“Cathy please. Are you coming today or not?”
“I’ll send Jake. I can’t make it but I’ll come by tomorrow or on saturday. Besides I don’t want to take the risk of Nico following me.”
“Okay. Thank you for everything and I’m sorry for dragging you through this.”
“You owe me big time for this. That jaguar of yours is out for blood and mine is not up for grabs.”Reina smiled absently at that thought.
“Okay then.”She replied and dropped the call. She rubbed her belly it’s big, the baby is moving around like crazy and she really enjoys it when he begins to kick, he really is busy in there she thought. She has gained weight and wonder what Nico would say if he can see her now, will he still find her attractive if he sees her body. She has seen a few changes in her body, her breasts are more full, round and firm, her nipples are a shade darker compare to their normal pink colour. She knows soon enough the stretch marks will show, not that she has any complaints seeing how beautiful her baby is growing compares to nothing. She’s hungry again despite having eaten half an hour ago, lately she’s had an increase in her appetite too, no wonder she has gained so much weight compared to last month. The restroom has become her best friend, she longed for Nicolas to be here so he can experience this new challenges with her, but we don’t always get what we want. Her nights have been very cold and lonely without him, her mornings doesn’t shine so bright like it use to, he has called her over a hundred times her inbox was full as well as her voice mail box. Strange enough she hasn’t seen or heard anything about him and Anastasia, a part of her is happy that he hasn’t flashed their relationship around for all to see She has sent the divorce papers with Cathy but her friend had told her he had ripped them up right in front of her, she cannot understand why he is acting this way after all she’s setting him free. She ran a hand through her hair and sighed deeply she’s missing him like crazy, she’s dying for his touch and to be loved by him.
“Do you have it.”Nico asked Ricardo.
“Yes sir and a number too. Everything is in there.”
“Took you long enough but you’ve proven yourself. I’ll transfer your money and also add a little extra for your hard work.”
Ricardo smiled broadly.”Thank you sir.”
“Keep it up then we won’t have any problem. You’re excused.” Ricardo left, for four months he’s been trying to find Reina but came up empty. Her best friend Cathy refuse to tell him anything and his mother is keeping quiet too. He hasn’t slept properly ever since she has left him and he keeps on looking at the baby’s scan, which makes his yearning for them more stronger. With great difficulty he has finally found them, taking his jacket he left his office minutes later he was in his Audi driving out of town to go get his wife and unborn baby.
She was busy preparing dinner when her phone rang again, it’s an unknown number, she wonders who it could be because only Bella, Luciana and Cathy has her new number she had taken out her old sim card because Nico had called constantly.
“Hello…?”She said softly.
“Corazon….”She heard Nico’s sexy voice say on the other end of the line. Her whole body froze in shock and disbelief she can’t believe that she’s hearing his voice.
“Nicolas…?”She breathed to herself.
“Yes it’s me.”He replied and she gripped the counter top to stop herself from falling, her knees are weak and her whole body is numb with shock.”Why are you hiding from me?”
“Nicolas.”She said again unable to believe she’s talking to him.”Where did you get this number.”
“I’ll always find you didn’t I tell you that before.”He reminded her.
“What do you want? Why have you called?”Thank god he doesn’t know where she is or he would’ve kicked down the door by now.
“When are you coming home.”He asked her.
“When I’m ready. Don’t push me.”She said.
“Reina it’s been four months how much longer do you need. I thought you’ve forgiven me.”
“I have Nicolas… I.. I just need more time. Why have you called? What would Anastasia say if she knew you are talking to me.”She heard his sharp intake of breath and knew she had hit a nerve.
“She’s of no importance to me. You are because you’re my wife.”He told her.
“Oh I see. You done with her, now you think you can just sweep back into our lives as if nothing happened. Well I have news for you Mr Nicolas Garcia… That won’t happen.”She was about to drop the call but his next words stop her.
“I thought we could talk and solve this amicable but clearly I was wrong. You leave me no choice corazon.”He said, and a shiver ran through her making the hairs at the back of her neck stand up, she had no time to answer because a knock on the door caught her attention, she ended the call and went to go see who it was it must be Jake, Cathy’s cousin, smile on her face she swung the door open and almost fainted when she saw who it really is her smile died instantly.
“Expecting someone else corazon.”Nicolas said and casually strode in without even waiting for her to invite him in she saw he has a few bags in his hands.”Oh I bumped into your personal delivery guy outside and he kindly asked me to give you this.”He held up the bags for her to see.”Isn’t he a little too young for you sweetheart I thought I was more of your type.” She doubt Jake asked him anything he probably scared the poor guy and was forced to hand over her grocery bags.
Reina is still processing the fact that he’s here, and how did he find her dwelling on that won’t help she needs to get him out of here.”How did you find me? No it’s too late to ask that question. Leaving right now will be the only thing you going to do.”She shut the door and reached out for her grocery bags but he pulled back slightly. He’s so extremely handsome and all she wanted to do was reach out and touch him, his hair has grown a bit longer and a few strands are hanging loose over his forehead. He has a five’o clock stubble on his jaw as if he hasn’t shaved in days and it suited him because he’s incredibly sexy. He’s wearing black jeans with a matching polo shirt that clung to his muscular chest and biceps with a leather jacket. He looked yummy and delicious it certainly has been a long four months she thought and looked away before he was gonna read her mind. He put her bags down on the floor and moved towards her immediately her heart rate began to climb if he comes any closer she won’t be able to hold herself back.
“Don’t.”She whispered helplessly.”Don’t come any closer.”She averted her gaze, looking into a distance if she can stare into those dark eyes she will completely break down this man has the power to break her without even trying.
“Won’t you look at me corazon?”She shook her head and moved away from the door she needed the distance from him she went over to the window and stared out at the open waters of the lake. She felt the baby kick and it’s strong her hand automatically moved down to her stomach, he can feel his dad’s presence she thought as he kicked again.
“You showing.”He said with disbelief in his voice.
She heard him chuckle softly or was it her imagination.”Is he moving?”She only nodded not even having the strength to answer him.”May I.”He asked gently. She was about to respond when she felt a frisson ran through her body and felt him behind her, his warmth, the scent of his skin. I will not turn around she told herself. His warm arms came around her and his hand rested gently on her stomach, instinctively she froze as she felt his warm palm on her belly even though his hand was on her maternity dress she could still feel his touch as if it was skin to skin. She closed her eyes and the baby kicked again right where his hand id.
“Hey there little guy. I think he knows it me.”He said to her. “It’s me your dad.”He tenderly rubbed her stomach and said something in Spanish to the baby. All kind of tingles shot through her body and it was too much for her to handle she removed his hand and stepped away from him.
“That’s enough!”She snapped.”I want you to leave.”
“Reina don’t do this. I came here to talk that’s all.”He reasoned.
