~ISSA.
I rolled my eyes as I bumped into Andrea in the elevator. I had no desire to engage in any squabble with her this morning.
“Good morning to you too,” She said as she saw me roll my eyes.
“I am not sure it’s ever a good morning with you, Andrea,” I replied.
I could feel Iran- the erratic wolf that he was- recoil in disgust. Initially, I alone had found her attractive but as time went on and as I finally Mated with Yulia, the chemistry between us had evaporated.
But she did not want to let go of what she thought we had. I could not wait for the doors to slide open.
“I heard what you did to the assistant Vice President,” She said.
“He was being a dick, so I took his balls off,” I replied with a shrug.
“Was that a genital play on words?” She asked with an amused raised eyebrows.
I shrugged.
“Just return his money, Issa, he is threatening to involve the police,” Andrea said.
“He can do whatever he likes, he will get it back when I feel like giving it back,” I replied curtly.
The elevator doors slid open and we both walked out.
“I love it when you are mean, it’s so hot,” She whispered seductively as she got nearer to me.
“This is my floor and I have to get to work,” I said as we got to the front door of my office. I was not going to let her in. Those days were over. “Unless you’re here to talk about work, I do not see the reason you have to come in with me.”
She scoffed and took a disbelieving step back. “Seriously?”
The disappointment was in her eyes and for some reason, Iran stirred with excitement. He was enjoying our little show.
“Andrea, why are you behaving like I said something mean to you?” I asked, puzzled. “I thought you loved it when I was mean?”
Her face turned hard and she straightened. “It’s her, isn’t it? Your little niece?” Her voice turned cold.
I opened the door and entered. She followed me with a stubborn determination in her eyes. I sighed. With another werewolf dead, she was the least of my problems today. I had to do something until another body turned up tortured, killed and with a black rose shoved down the throat.
I said nothing in reply as I hung my suit and sat down. I switched on the computer and leaned back to wait for it to finish booting.
“Is there anything else besides your weird interest in my niece?” I asked with a bored expression on my face.
“This will not end well for either of you,” Andrea said with steel in her voice.
I shrugged. “You are entitled to your opinion, will that be all?”
She scoffed and crossed her arms. “I don’t get you, Issa, she is not even related to you. Why this sudden obsession with her?”
“The only obsessed person in this room is you, Andrea and it’s giving pathetic.”
“She will never be yours, I am sure you know that, Issa,” She spat maliciously.
I smirked at her and said nothing.
“Unless…” She moved closer to me and sniffed around me. “You’ve marked her…” She said in a mixture of disbelief and shock. “Impossible…” She whispered.
I felt sorry for her and I also felt pity.
“How?” She asked herself as she paced around.
“If you are going to unravel and have a mental breakdown, I suggest you do it outside the office,” I said coldly.
Iran was enjoying the show too much at this point. “And I find it funny that you are asking me how mating works, you went to school, Andrea.”
“This was not supposed to happen! You were supposed to end up with me!” She yelled.
“I don’t think it works that way,” I replied. “And you know that.”
“Why her?” She asked, more to herself than me.
“Fate, the goddess ordained it, you know how it is with our kind, we do not really have a say in who we bond with, it just happens.” I replied.
“I will not accept this!” She forcefully said.
“Won’t really change a thing but your feelings are valid,” I replied and got up.
I headed for the door and held it open for her. “It’s time to go, Andrea, I have some business to take care of,” I said.
“Do I really mean nothing to you?” Andrea asked in a low pain filled voice.
“You never have, you never will,” I replied and jerked my thumb to the entrance of the door. “Come on, Andrea, do not make it harder than it already is.”
She sighed and walked to the door but did not go through.
“I could spread the word, you know,” She said. “Tell the whole world that you are fucking your niece, a whole Lycan.”
I smirked and shook my head. It was always funny to me when people like Andrea underestimated me. Like all my enemies before I put them into the ground, they always believed that they had the upper hand.
“And what would that change?” I asked.
“Your job, your reputation, nobody will hire you, no matter how good of a coder you actually are,” She replied, looking at me deep in the eyes. Searching for the fear and worry in my eyes.
I sighed. Sometimes, I believed she was smart but she had just shown me how dumb she actually was. Did she really think that this job meant the world to me? I was the fucking Lycan of the pack the damned King.
But of course, Like The Swine, she had underestimated me and the best way to deal with her was in the language she understood best.
“You cannot do anything to my, Job, Andrea, I do not work for you.”
“I can talk to my father, I have his ears.”
I sighed and pulled out my phone. I quickly sent her a small video clip before I put the phone back into my pocket. Her phone buzzed in her hand bag before she fished it out. She gasped as soon as she saw the content of the video.
“How did you get this?” She asked faintly.
“Does it matter?” It was a video of her fucking her father’s business rival. “Imagine how disappointed daddy is going to be when he finds out that his beloved daughter is fucking the enemy.”
