~ISSA
We glared at each other as the silence passed.
I was no longer in control. Iran had taken the reign of my body and he wanted to feed. He wanted to hear the sound of bones breaking and flesh tearing.
This human who dared to hurt Yulia’s friend had no idea what was in store for him. He had no idea the doors of pain he had unleashed upon himself.
He was trying to be fearless but Iran could smell his fear. The man looked behind me and stared at Yulia with cold eyes that promised revenge.
“I told you to come alone but you disobeyed me, when I am done with your knight in shining armor here, I will make you pay,” He dared to utter and I could hear the slight waver in his voice.
Tonight, he would know what fear and pain was. I remembered how he called Yulia a good girl and Iran’s rage increased as he struggled to stand still.
“Pick it up,” Iran growled again, referring to the knife on the floor.
The knife was curved and the silver blade was gleaming under the white light in Lana’s kitchen. Iran wanted this to be a fair fight. He wanted to give the man a false sense of security.
It was true that silver was a deadly element to werewolves but Iran was not a regular wolf. Sure it would hurt him but Iran had a secret.
He loved pain- it fueled his rage and mania.
The man shrugged and picked up the knife but he never took his eyes off me.
Smart.
Always keep your eyes on the opponent. He was a trained human. I could tell just from the way he stood. It was unfortunate that his training was not going to save him.
The man reached into his pocket and produced a vial of transparent liquid. “I know what you are so I came prepared.”
Then he opened the small bottle before drinking the strange liquid.
“Enhancement,” he whispered as he threw away the bottle. “To even things out, I know that I can not take you with my human strength alone so I brought this with me, just in case.”
I waited for the enhancement to take effect as a slow sadistic smile appeared on my lips.
“Someone is getting excited,” The man said and removed his mask. He was blond with stark blue eyes.
“Ready whenever you are,” Iran growled. “I want to see just how good your… enhancement works.”
A bright smile played across the man’s face as his pupils began to dilate. His enhancement was taking effect.
“Well, since you asked so nicely… I will indulge you.”
With that, he lunged at me. He was faster than usual and I was momentarily surprised by the speed. He came at my openings with the knife, slashing viciously at me.
I evaded his strikes as his silver blade missed by close inches. I danced out of his way as he came at me from another angle. He was really good.
Yulia and her friend were crouched safely in a corner watching us fight. I wished she was not present to witness this other side of me but there was nothing I could do about it.
Iran weaved out of the way as the knife missed my eyes but the enhanced human was not done yet. Before I could recover, a kick flew at me landing squarely on my neck. It jarred me but that was all it did. There was no pain.
I could feel Iran’s dissatisfaction.
The Human smiled coldly. “Wasn’t expecting that, were you?”
“That’s it?” Iran growled. “All that enhancement and all you can do is tickle me?”
The smile disappeared from the man’s face and he snarled as he lunged- knife first, aiming for my throat. I waited until he was close and sidestepped him as the knife passed so close to my neck before Iran moved his head and opened his mouth.
I growled and bit down hard on the man’s wrist, tearing the hand off his arm in a swift action.
The man crashed to the floor and pain masked his handsome face. His severed right hand fell to the floor still holding the knife.
The scream that followed was a loud and unbearable one. He held his arm as blood gushed out of his severed arm.
The taste of blood sent Iran over the edge and he cackled madly.
“Shit, shit, shit!” The man yelled in pain and disbelief as he looked at his bloodied stump.
Iran bent down to pick up the severed hand, peeled open the fingers and took the knife before throwing the hand in the washing sink.
He threw the knife at the man whose face was covered with sweat and pain.
“Don’t give up now, show me what your enhancement can do,” Iran growled with a sickening smile.
The man grabbed the knife and pushed himself on the wall to stand up. He pointed the knife at Iran as his whole body trembled with pain… and fear.
“Stay back!” He yelled in a broken voice.
Iran did not move, he just watched with a dark smile on his face.
“Come on, fight back!” Iran growled.
The man’s eyes were filled with confusion as he quickly looked around.
“You want to run?” Iran asked. “You will lose a lot of blood that way, and that will only make me chase you, I love to hunt so it works for me.”
Blood was dripping on the floor in heavy doses and I could hear the man struggling to breathe. He was losing too much blood and the smell was driving Iran insane.
“Okay, let’s make a deal,” The man said with desperation. “I will tell you who sent me and I walk away, nobody has to die.”
Iran snorted. “I don’t care about any of that, I just want to tear you apart limb from limb, the only chance of you surviving is to fight back, no other way…”
