DIEGO’S POINT OF VIEW
Nothing is going to spoil this day. I handed my ringing phone to Christopher our newest recruit, the phone has been ringing non-stop for sometime now, I’m sure it’s just a business call. I don’t care about work for today, all I care about is finding I way to make Valentina forgive me and maybe even possible like or maybe perhaps love me like I maybe perhaps love her.
Ewww that sounds very pathetic, I haven’t sounded pathetic in a while, I haven’t sounded pathetic since Daya and even with her I wasn’t this pathetic, I still had a little bit of control and composure, my steeze was completely intact but with Valentina? I don’t know that girl just destroys every bit of composure and steeze I have.
“Give your phone to Christopher, he will return it when we get back from our trip.” I said to Valentina immediately Christopher held the car door open for us to step out of. She looked puzzled, a lot hesitant and a lot suspicious about what I might do to her when she doesn’t have any access to the outside world.
I frown at her distrust of me but yet again I have never really given her any reason to trust me but she should trust me! I wouldn’t hurt her… not ever again.
She sighed as she handed her phone over to Christopher.
“I will keep it safe for you ma’am.” Christopher said to Valentina with a smile.
I gave him a warning gaze, who gave him the right to smile at my girl! The smile slowly melted off his face and he looked down doing his best to avoid my gaze. Much better.
“He was just trying to be nice to me Diego…master Diego.” Valentina said in a whisper.
“I don’t pay him to be nice. Call me Diego, I like how it sounds coming from your lips.” I replied. I said the second part with a smile, a smile I made sure to direct solely at my Valentina.
She stared at me unsure of what to do at first, I had never really smiled at her before. She was unsure for a millisecond before she finally smiled back.
Gosh that smile, that face, that body, she literally owns me now.
We stepped out of the car and into the private jet and just like that we were on our way to a villa in one of the private islands I own.
ZARA’S POINT OF VIEW
I flipped through Yara’s diary not knowing where to start from, not knowing which pages held clues as to where Raphael is keeping her captive. I flipped through pages before finally deciding to start at the first page, maybe that will point me to the right direction.
Yara would literally murder me if she ever finds out that I looked through her diary.
I’m sorry Yara, I said quickly before I started reading.
“Dear diary,
It’s Yara Adeyemi here, silly me of course you already know that, Daddy said you know everything including what the future holds for me…. I don’t even know what the future holds for me and honestly I’m really scared to find out. Today was a crazy day, I honestly don’t really understand anything that happened, it doesn’t make sense to me. Zara and I turned fourteen yesterday and as my birthday present daddy decided to take me with him to work today. And it was odd, there were gross men, all they wanted to do was touch me in places that should be private. I did not like that at all, I looked to daddy for help but he just looked away. It was godfather who saved me from those gross men. Daddy made me promise not to tell Zara or mommy and I won’t, I can’t, he said I have to do this…to work to save our family from bankruptcy, he said we…I have to do this so mom can continue getting the treatment she needs. I don’t feel comfortable but I don’t think there is anything I can do, can you please help me out of this dear diary?”
I did not know when the diary slipped from my hands. I remember that day very clearly, I remember that I had been so mean to Yara for a week after that day because I was jealous of how much time she was spending with dad, Jealous of the fact that she was his favorite. I did not know what she was going through.
I couldn’t stop the tears from coming down from my eyes, I should have been there for Yara, I should have killed that monster we had called father before he could hurt my sister!
The sadness turned into anger and then helplessness.
How can I save my sister? I don’t even know where he took her. I flipped to another part of the diary searching for clues.
YARA’S POINT OF VIEW
“We have to get you ready for the show today, is this your first time being a one night stand girl?” The woman applying my makeup said. I looked slutty in that ugly red sequins dress and red heels. I averted my eyes from the mirror and instead stared at my fingers which had already been painted with glistening red nail polish.
I tried not to cry, I have told myself that I would not cry again…
“Hi I’m laurette.” The makeup artist said with a smile. I ignored her still focused on my pain and sadness.
She seemed to not be taken aback by my apparent rudeness.
“Whatever you do try your best to be sold tonight, the boss does not like the sight of leftover one night stand girls.” Laurette said as she showed me a very painful looking scary that spread all through her back.
“Try to stay alive my friend.” She added while wiping the tears off my face.
