VALENTINA’S POV
Damian has always had mental breakdowns for as long as I can remember, panick attacks, extreme rage, erratic tantrums, everything. It takes a lot to bring him back to his usual self, it’s even harder to decipher which of his shelves he is; the kind fun loving Damian who held my hands on the first day of junior high and told me high school wasn’t going to be horrible or the wicked narcissistic Damian who had publicly humiliated me in high school by emptying a tray full of canteen food on me when Lisa (the queen bee) had asked him why he always hangs out with me (a loser).
Damian is…complex, he is nothing like Diego… well he used to be nothing like Diego but now Damian is more Diego than Diego and Diego is more Damian than Damian. Diego used to be my protector, a role that Damian has now adopted, how did they both change so much? It’s almost as if they switched lives, no that would be crazy, right?
“Valentina, I… I am so sorry.” He stuttered moving back and forth seated with his arms wrapped around his legs.
“I did not mean to hurt you… I will never intentionally hurt you… I won’t… I won’t… I promise Valentina.” He said looking very Distraught.
“I know… I know.” I said comforting him. I have to find a way to get out of here, I hope he lets me leave.
“Damian, I was wondering… can I leave today?” I asked nervously. I don’t want to upset him.
“Why? Aren’t you comfortable? Do you need anything?” He said in a fidgety manner.
“No… it’s just that I have to get back to Ava. She needs me.” I said trying my best to be calm.
“But Ava is with your friend Lori. Lori is going to take good care of our daughter, I paid her to.” He replied finally starting to calm down.
“I didn’t know that.” I said surprised.
“I had to make sure that our daughter is safe. Hey, you would never have to do this parenting thing alone anymore I’ll always be there for you both, we are a family. Me, you and Ava.” Damian said pulling me into a hug, I felt my body tense up a bit before it finally relaxed and before we knew it we were cuddling. He felt comforting, like home…
DIEGO’S POV
It has been a month since Valentina’s death and I can’t still focus, everything feels a lot out of place like something is missing, she is missing, I need her to focus, I need her body on mine, I need her legs to be wrapped around me, her lips on mine, my dick buried deep inside her.
At this point it feels like she is… was my drug, using past tenses for her doesn’t even sound right. I don’t know, it feels odd that she is dead because somehow I still want her like as if she is still here, I still need her body it is a drug I have to take to stay focused. And for some reason I can’t replace her with anyone else, believe me I have tried.
“Have you found her body?” I asked Greg my second most trusted man after my brother. I picked him up from the slumps trained him into the man he is now, Greg is the closest thing I have to a son.
“Boss… she isn’t dead.” He replied. He had an uncertain look on his face like he also cannot believe what he is saying. He was the one that had convinced me that Valentina is dead, he said he saw Don Carlos shoot her, he had heard the gun being fired in her direction, that was immediately before he and the guys had gotten into the getaway car and left.
“What?” I said surprised.
“Yes, I heard from a reliable source that she had left with master Damian.” He added. I was a lot conflicted, Damian had told that Valentina was dead, my brother would never lie to me, why would he? He had never cared what I did with my whore.
I felt anger starting to brew in my chest, why did Damian lie to me?! Does he want to take Valentina away from me?! I cannot condone that! I don’t care if he is my brother, I will destroy every body that stands in the way of what I want and what I want now is Valentina.
VALENTINA’S POV
“Can Ava and I leave now? I mean I’m all better now.” I said nervously holding my daughter in my arms. Damian had brought her back from Lori’s so we have all been living together for the past one month.
“We are a family. We have to stay together, forever.” He replied.
“Damian…we… Ava and I… we… can’t stay here forever.” I stuttered trying my best not to upset him.
“Yes you can!” He yelled enraged and then suddenly calm.
“Meg!” Damian yelled into the intercom. A thirty-something year old woman who Damian had employed to be Ava’s nanny came running.
“Yes sir” she answered.
“I think it’s time for Ava’s violin lesson.” He said staring directly into my eyes. I flinched in fear.
“Yes sir.” Meg replied even though Ava’s Violin lesson wasn’t due till about two hours time. She took Ava away from my hands and out of the room to the third floor of the mansion which has been converted to Ava’s homeschool.
I did not protest, I let my daughter go with Meg because I did not want her to see what is about to happen to me, what Damian is about to do to me.
“I wouldn’t let you leave me.” He said repeatedly as he handcuffed me to the bed. He does this every day before he goes out. I only get out of the cuffs when I want to eat. My food gets brought to me on my bed, I eat it with about two hefty guard watching me.
This is a prison, I don’t know if I would ever get out.
DIEGO’S POV
“You lied to me Damian.” I said, looking straight into my brother’s eyes. He looked shocked to see me. I came over to his mansion unannounced. I was Shocked to see him all cuddled up with what is mine. Valentina.
Something about his demeanor was however not right after he stopped being shocked, he looked angry and almost immediately calm. It felt weird, the placid smile that laid on his lips after the frown felt fake, that moment made me relize that I probably don’t know my brother like I had thought I did, and there is nothing I hate more than traitors especially when they happen to be family.
I have to cut Damian loose.
“Did you intend to keep her for yourself.” I asked trying my best to stay calm, trying to remind myself that this is my brother.
“No, I just wanted to make sure that she is alright before giving her back.” Damian replied.
“I’ve got you bro, always.” He said as he moved closer to me. I threw a punch to his nose, watching the blood ooze out of it I said “if you were that loyal to me you wouldn’t have lied to me in the first place”.
“Take him to the punishment cell Greg, his execution will be tomorrow.” I commanded.
Nobody who goes against me lives, even if they are family.
