When the visions faded, Racheal opened her eyes. The clearing was still and quiet, the only sound the gentle rustling of the leaves. She stood, feeling a new strength within her, a deep sense of belonging.
Lucas smiled at her, his eyes full of approval. “You are one of us now, Racheal. Welcome
” Finally my daughter is part of the pack”, I felt so much relieve and happy seeing Racheal laugh and dance with the pack and I must say she has the cutest smile ever.
It was getting late everyone were going home, I had to walk Mike and Nina to they car. Once their car zoom off, I headed back inside seeing Mira and Racheal sitting on the couch. Mira was attending to Racheal’s cut from the ritual
“Ouch!!! Mommy take it easy it hurts”, Racheal screams.
Am sorry my brave little one” you know Mommy have to attend to your wounds so it would get worse, Mira says with a puppy eyes.
“Okay mommy, but you have to take it easy, Racheal says with an authoritative voice .
Okay little one”, Mira retorted with a smile.
We really need to celebrate Racheal, for a new chapter in her life, everyone turns to Ronald who was holding a bottle of wine in his hand coming towards us, he handed the wine to me which I did the needful and pour to each glass. We cheers to the new beginning of Racheal and we’re all happy.
Suddenly, a scary noise was heard outside the pack’s house, which made everyone quiver. Ronald ordered the guard to check what it was, but they never came back in. Ronald and I had to stand in front of Rachel and Mira, my paws and canines are out, ready to attack. I look at my daughter and Mira seeing so much fear on their faces which make my wolf burn, my eye already change its color, looking towards the door to see the idiot”.
We began hearing footsteps approaching inside, “William!!!”.
“Where is my daughter?!” William demanded.
“She is not your daughter,” I retorted, my voice calm but filled with an underlying threat.
William’s eyes glowed with anger. “She is mine by blood.”
I then notice Mira brought Racheal close to her, holding her tighter,
William snarled, “You took her away from me. I’ll take her back by force if I must.”
The tension in the air was palpable. I see Ronald and the pack members stood their ground, ready to defend their own. But one thing I know, is that everything must end tonight.
“You can never take my daughter away from me William!!! Mira says boldly as she walk to my front her voice was filled with anger and pain,
“William’s eyes grow wider, he look to Mira stomach speechless. I think his surprise to see that Mira is pregnant again, his eyes turns to me as we look at each other, ” Mira you know very well that Racheal his my child and I have every right to not Leo”. ” William says as his eye color change red.
“No, I’m not,” Rachel said firmly. “You’re not my papa.
William’s face contorted with rage. “Then you leave me no choice.”
He shifted, transforming into a massive werewolf, his followers doing the same. The air was filled with growls and the sound of snapping jaws. Our pack responded in kind, each member transforming, ready to protect Rachel at all costs.
The battle was fierce. Ronald and I fought valiantly, their strength and experience evident in every move. Mira stayed close to Rachel, shielding her as best as she could. The noise of the fight was deafening, the growls and snarls blending into a chaotic symphony of violence.
At one point, William lunged at Rachel, but I intercepted him, our clash shaking the ground. I turn to Ronald to see if he needs help, he was fighting off two werewolves at once, his sheer power holding them at bay. He turns to me and nod his head showing he is fine.
I then rush to save my Mira and Racheal, but each effort I try to get to them, William will try to stop me, but I really need to take Mira out of here and keep them safe, I then had to use the mind link and hope Mira isn’t off
“Mira take Racheal upstairs now!!!”, I screamed through the mind link, but didn’t get a response.
William’s jumps towards me trying to use his claws on me, but I dulged it so he fell to the ground, I quickly use my claws on him to seize him for some moments as I try to mind link Mira again
“Mira can you hear me?”, Take Racheal upstairs now. Suddenly I see her turn to me, hold Racheal’s arm as the rush upstairs.
William made a loud growl and push me away to the ground, then he use a chair on Mira which am sure got her, I hear Mira scream from the stairs and I pounce on William.
I look up to see Mira but I couldn’t, I only hear Racheal’s voice calling out mommy!! Mommy!!”, then I know something was wrong with Mira, I left William who I was unto so I can help Mira, but I think William had an idea of what am about to do, he quickly pounce on me using his claws to pin me down to the ground, I made a painful howl, I felt life leaving me as blood come out of my body,
I kept hearing Racheal’s crying voice which gave me the courage to fight back
I quickly thought of Ronald, I then mind link him to go save Mira and Racheal, I was relieve when I saw him rushing upstairs to where they are. “Am now faced with this devil”.
I look up again to see Ronald carry Mira on a bridal way heading to the room upstairs, I growl and turns back to William but this time have had enough, this time I kept calm to know his next move as he runs to me I bend then use my cannies on his neck, I can taste his blood in my mouth and finally his blood was rushing out of his body.
He made a scary howl, I then release him, he fell to the ground and couldn’t breathe again, I came closer to find out that he was dead and slowly he starts to shift to human. My eyes went blur as tears begin sliding down and I can’t help it I couldn’t believe I killed my own brother..
“William, William, William!!!, I scream. William, William, William!!!” I screamed his name again, my voice raw with grief and guilt. I couldn’t believe it-couldn’t accept that I had killed him. My own brother, my blood, the one person I had vowed to protect.
But how? How could this have happened? How could I have been so blind?
