Mira pov
The moon is almost set, the house Is again loudly as the guest keeps coming for the final initiation, Ronald make sure the security are around the house and nothing goes wrong.
After a long moment of merriment, the Alpha of them all called “Lucas”stood up greeting everyone in the party, ” I think it’s time we proceed with the initiation”, hope Racheal is ready?.
I glanced at Leo, my eyes shining with a mixture of pride and concern. “Can you believe she’s finally ready?” I asked softly, my voice barely above a whisper.
“She’s grown so much, Mira. She’s more than ready. She has your strength and my stubbornness. She’ll do us proud.” Leo says with so much confident.
The ceremony would be held under the full moon, a time of powerful energy and ancient rituals. I want everything to be perfect for Racheal. I quickly went up to get Racheal downstairs so we get started.
I entered the room quietly, holding the cloak I got for her. She was looking outside through the window that she didn’t even know when I came in, I took a moment to stare at the creature infront of me and how grown she is now
“Baby it time already can we?” I asked, with a gentle voice.
Racheal turns to me with a her eyes bright. She smiles as she come closer to me.
I smile back and help her into the cloak, fastening the clasp at her throat. “You look beautiful,” I said, my voice choked with emotion. “I’m so proud of you.”
“Thanks, Mom,” Racheal replied, as she hug me tightly. “I couldn’t have done it without you and Dad.”
Leo appeared in the doorway, Hope my princess is ready again?” he asked, his grin wide and infectious.
Racheal laughed, feeling some of her nerves melt away. “Ready as I’ll ever be, Dad.” She says firmly.
We made our way to the clearing, where the rest of the pack was gathering. Torches flickered in the twilight, casting a warm glow over the assembled group. The Alpha, Lucas, stood at the center, his presence commanding and reassuring.
“Welcome, everyone,” Lucas began, his voice resonating through the clearing. “Tonight, we finally meet again to finally welcome Racheal into the pack. She has shown bravery, strength, and loyalty. She is ready to join us, not just in body, but in spirit.”
The pack members formed a circle around the fire, their expressions solemn and respectful. Racheal stepped forward, her heart pounding. She felt the weight of their gazes, the expectation and the support. She knew she was not alone.
Lucas drew a shallow cut on his palm, then handed the dagger to Racheal. “This is a symbol of our bond,” he said. “Our blood, our strength, our unity. Will you accept this bond and pledge yourself to the pack?” all eyes were on Racheal at the moment.
Racheal took the dagger, her hand trembling slightly. She made a similar cut on her own palm, then clasped Lucas’s hand. Their blood mingled, sealing the pact. A cheer rose from everyone, and Racheal felt a warmth spreading through her, as she looks to what was happening.
Lucas smiled, his eyes softening. “Welcome, Racheal. You are brief I must say.”
The pack howled in unison, their voices rising to the heavens.
“Welcome Racheal!!”, I hear jerk face screams.
I watched with a blur eyes, my hearts swelling with pride. My daughter had taken her place among them, and I knew she would carry on the traditions and values they held, looking at everyone I begin to miss family and the packs too, this really reminded me of them all, I wish they were still alive.
As the ceremony continued, the pack celebrates with songs, dances, and stories. The fire crackled and roared, sending sparks into the night sky. Racheal keeps looking at all the scenes happening around her she laugh to whatever that looks funny, enjoying the event but was quite. I think she is really trying to know more about the pack she is going into.
Leo and I stood together, our hands entwined once more. As we watch Racheal laugh and nod her head to the beat of the music, , her face alight with joy. I knew this night was just the beginning of her journey, a journey that would be filled with adventure, growth, and the unbreakable bond of the pack. I felt a tight grip on me and I turn to look at Leo, who’s eyes were on me , I smile and lay on his shoulder.
Lucas stood up raising a hand up, everyone kept quiet and back to their seat, Racheal was led to a sacred spot deeper in the woods. It was a place only known by the initiated, a place of peace and power. Here, she would undertake the final rite of passage, a personal communion with the spirit of the pack.
Lucas took her to the center of the grove, where an ancient stone stood, etched with the marks of countless ceremonies. “Kneel here,” he instructed softly. “Close your eyes and have a moment with the spirit, Racheal flinch hearing the word “spirit ” she turns to Leo and I, looking at her I see she was scared and need some encouragement, so i nod my head with a smile, she did the same thing and turns back to continue, though still scared.
Racheal did as instructed, feeling the cool stone beneath her knees and the stillness of the night around her. She closed her eyes and breathed deeply, a reflection of the Images of the pack’s history, their triumphs and trials, their joys and sorrows will be shown to her, She would see her parents as young initiates, full of hope and determination. She would see the faces of those who had come before, each contributing to the strength and unity of the pack. And she would see herself, standing tall and proud, ready to take her place too..
