“You’re sorry? You’re sorry!? Are you sorry that you tried to kill me? Are you sorry that I had to live alone for months? Are you sorry that I spent every waking minute worrying you might find me and kill my baby?” I yell.
He runs his hands through his now short, black hair. He got a hair cut? Focus Mira! You’re supposed to hate him, remember?
‘It wasn’t that you were a Feramors, Mira. I mean, sure, I was shocked and scared. I feel so ashamed for that too; but that’s not what made met reject you. I rejected you because you slept with my brother. He mind linked me.
I didn’t know we still had a connection….
“You never let me explain, Leo.” I choke out.
He places his hand on my cheek and his thumb made circles on my skin. I close my eyes as I feel the Sparks where he is touching me.
“Mira, I don’t care, I just want you. And if you want to keep the baby, I’ll treat it like my own because it’s your baby… I just want you back in my life. I want my mate back, Mira.” His words touch me.
I place my hand on his and slowly nod.
“Okay, but I want to take it slow.” I whisper with a small smile on my lips.
Did I just give in that soon? I told myself never again! What’s wrong with me?
His face lights up and he pulls me in for a hug. I hug him back but pull away when his hug gets too tight. I point to my belly.
“Let’s not crush her.” I say with a smirk.
“Sorry. I forgot about you being 4 months pregnant for a moment. Do you need anything? Are you hungry? Thirsty? Do you need to sit down? I can-” I stop him and laugh.
I shake my head and smile,”I’m fine. I’m not breakable you know.”
He rubs the back of his neck and he blushes. He opens his mouth to say something but the pack house door burst open. Three men stride in and are glaring at me. Their eyes are blood red from anger.
I take a step backward and shrink back. One of them is the guy who hit me. Leo notices me shrink back and steps in front of me. The man that hit me growls and points to me.
“Why is she still alive?! She should be dead! If your too soft to kill her, I will!”He sneers.
The man comes toward me with his canines out but out but Leo punches him in the face before he could even get close to me. I step back but another guy grabs my arms tightly.
“Let go of me!” I yell.
Leo’s eyes snap to me and then to the man holding my arm. Leo growls and steps toward me but stops when I feel cold metal touch my temple. My body starts to shake and I look at Leo with pleading eyes.
“The pack demands blood, Alpha! If you don’t let us take her, you will become a rogue like her!” He
sneers.
The man pushes the gun harder on my temple and I wince. The action made Leo snarl and tense up.
‘I have an idea, sweetie. Just play along. I’m not going to let anyone hurt you or the baby.’ He mind links me

“I’ll take her. I want to talk to her about that.” He points to my belly.
He makes his face fill with anger and hatred. I try to look scared and squirm in the man’s grip. He reluctantly hands me over to Leo and steps back. Leo drags me out toward the pack prison.
And he puts me in a cell once we get in there, He kisses my forehead and gives me a small, white pill.

‘Don’t worry, it won’t hurt you or the baby. Take it and you will appear dead. I keep them for emergency purposes. I’ll take you to a place i go to get away. No one else knows about it so you should be safe. I got to go now. I love you.’ He kisses me on the forehead and walks away.
I stare at the white pill in my hand and slowly bring it to my mouth. I’m gonna regret this. I throw it in my mouth and swallow it quickly. It leaves a nasty, chalky taste in my mouth and I make a sour looking face.
After just a couple of minutes I’m super dizzy and I can’t stand anymore. I fall to my knees and watch as my world goes black.
Leo’s Pov
As I drag her to the prison, I pull a small, clear bag out of my jeans pocket. It contains two , small, white pills in it. I’m not going to lose her again. I can’t lose her again.
I lead her to the cell and once we’re there, I give her a hug. Quickly i put a pill in her hand.
‘Don’t worry, it won’t hurt you or the baby. Take it and you will appear dead. I keep them for emergency purposes. I’ll take you to a place I go to get away. No one else knows about it so you should be safe. I got to go now. I love you.’ I know she wouldn’t say it back so after placing a kiss on her forehead, I leave.
I march back to the pack house and burst through the door. Anger is radiating off of me in waves. I walk in the kitchen just in time to hear the man that threatened to kill my mate, jerry, tell everyone how he hit Mira, he hit Mira?! Just stay calm Leo… You’re supposed to hate Mira. I sigh and march in.
“She’s gonna regret cheating on me!” I yell.
All of the men smirk and I hear some yeah she is!’ And ‘beat the crap out of her!’ And ‘you better bet on it!’
Every word they say makes me want to rip their throat out
