“Lily.” Axel called and hit the door repeatedly.
“I’m coming.” She replied as her hands trembled and she breathed heavily.
“Lily, come on. Open the door.” Axel raised his voice as he hit the door.
He was about to yell her name again when the door opened. She stood at the entrance and tried to force a calm look.
“What happened? What’s wrong? Did I hurt you?” Axel asked worriedly as he wrapped his arms around her waist.
She slowly smiled and shook her head.
“No, you didn’t. I just freaked out. Your grip on me was a little too tight.” She replied, Axel felt a little bit bad.
“I’m sorry.” He apologized. She smiled at him and placed her head on her chest.
“I love you, Axel.” She muttered as she held him tightly.
“I know, Lily. I know.” Axel replied and closed his eyes.

Axel, Lily, Max, and Nora were all in Axel’s suite and they had breakfast together. Lily decided they have breakfast together so they could talk about what they had to do.
“So, what’s the plan?” Nora asked as she gulped out of her glass.
“Whatever the plan might be, it doesn’t involve you.” Max said to her and she rolled her eyes.
“So, I think Anastasia has been kidnapped and I don’t know who took her but I am a little bit sure El Diablo did. We will be going to her office and a few of her bases to see if we can find anything that can help us.” Lily explained.
“I and Axel will be going. Whatever we find will help us know what to do next.” She added and they all nodded in response.
“Let me get this right, the same El Diablo that wants you?” Nora suddenly asked and Lily coughed. She hurriedly gulped a glass of water.
“Are you okay?” Axel asked and she nodded as she dropped the glass. Axel found her reaction suspicious but he decided to drop it.
“It’s been years. I think he is over that already.” Lily said and Nora shrugged.
“Right Axel? Don’t you guys do business together now?” Lily asked and Axel nodded in response.
“Well, did he ever mention me?” Lily asked further. Her question was different but she needed the answer to it to clear a doubt.
“I haven’t seen him before and he didn’t mention you.” Axel replied and she smiled at him.
“How do you do business with someone you haven’t seen before?” Nora asked.
“We usually go through Dexter or his other men. I think Dexter knows him.” Max replied.
“Dexter doesn’t know him.” Lily replied and they all looked at her. She chuckled nervously and played with her fingers under the table.
“Anastasia told me.” She replied and bit her lip. Again, Axel found it odd but he decided to let it go.
“All we know about El Diablo and Anastasia is that they are siblings but enemies and Lily works for Anastasia.” Nora said and they all nodded.
“I am so curious to know what this El Diablo looks like, if he is siblings with Anastasia so he should be a middle aged man right? Like in his forties?” Nora asked and Lily chuckled nervously again.
Her hands were trembling under the table and she felt so uncomfortable. Axel noticed her hand but still, he didn’t say anything.
“I am curious too.” She muttered in response.
After breakfast, Axel and Lily headed out. Her men got her a car they could use.
Lily drove and headed to Anastasia’s office.
As she drove, she noticed Axel was quieter than usual.
“Is something wrong?” She asked and he turned to her.
“No.” He replied.
“Are you sure? It’s just that you have been quiet.” She replied and glanced at him. He smiled at her.
“Nothing is wrong.” He replied.
She nodded in response and fixed her eyes on the road. Minutes later, they arrived at the base where Anastasia’s office was.
They both got out of the car and Axel looked around, the area looked so empty.
“Come on.” Lily said and locked hands with Axel, he glanced at their locked hands before looking up at her.
They both walked towards the building. They got in and Lily headed straight to the office. As they passed, they kept seeing different bodies on the floor.
“A lot happened here.” Axel muttered.
They got to the office and Lily let go of Axel’s hand.
“Look around for something that can help.” She said to him and he nodded in response.
She walked towards Anastasia’s table and found a note on it. She picked it up and her heart skipped a beat as she read what was on it.
“Find me, Kitten.”
“Did you find anything?” Axel asked and she turned to him sharply and she squeezed the note behind her.
“Nothing.” She replied nervously and he nodded. He noticed she was hiding something but he ignored it again.
“I think El Diablo took her.” She said,
“Yeah, no doubt about that.” He replied and Lily tucked the note in her jacket carefully before walking towards Axel.
“We should go.” She said and Axel nodded in response, they were about to walk out but he stopped her.
“What?” She asked.
“If there is anything you think I should know, you can tell me. I won’t get mad, I promise.” He said as he held her hand.
Lily stared at him without saying anything. A thousand thoughts were going on in her head.
‘Should I tell him?’ ‘What if he gets mad?’ ‘What if he does something irrational?’ ‘What if he hates me?’ ‘What if anything goes wrong?’
It looked like she was about to talk and Axel waited, he had thoughts but he wanted them to be wrong.
Slowly, she smiled and chuckled nervously.
“It’s nothing. Come on.” She said and kissed his cheek before walking out ahead of him. Axel stared at her and shrugged it off again.

El Diablo sat elegantly in his seat as he read the text on his phone. Slowly he smirked and dropped his phone.
“My kitten is here.”
