Lily gasped out loud and Axel turned to her.
“Hey.” He called and she turned to him with teary eyes.
“I… I don’t want to go. I can’t do this, please don’t make me go.” She pleaded.
“It’s okay. Nothing will happen to you, you don’t have to say anything. I just need you there so I can sort things out, nothing will happen to you Lily, I promise. I will be there.” Axel assured her and held her free hand.
She took in deep breaths and after a few seconds, she blinked back her tears and sniffed.
“You can do this okay? I am here with you.” Axel assured her and she nodded in response.
The guards opened the door for them and they both walked out, Lily stared at the mansion and exhaled.
“I can hold your hand if you want.”
“No, I’m okay.” Lily replied and carried her daughter properly. She tried to stay calm and put on a cold expression.
They both walked towards the door and walked in. As expected, everyone was in the living room.
They all stared at Lily in shock except Max and Nora. The look on Lily’s mother’s and Malia’s were priceless. They had their mouths wide open with their eyes widened in shock. Same as Susan, Axel’s step mother.
“We know we are late.” Axel said and his father cleared his throat. Since no one was speaking and the room was tense, he decided to speak up.
“The food will get cold.” He said and stood up. Axel’s step mother followed him immediately while Malia and her mother slowly stood without looking away from Lily and the kids.
They were too shocked to speak, they also walked into the dining room leaving Max and Nora behind.
“What an entrance.” Max said with a smile before walking away too. Nora bowed her head in shame as she thought of what to say.
“Lily… ” She trailed off as Lily walked towards the dining, Axel chuckled and Nora glared at him.
“It is not funny. How come she has forgiven you? That was so easy.” Nora said and Axel scoffed.
“Oh, she didn’t. She hates me so much. Trust me, you still have a better chance with her than I do.” Axel replied.
“Hey, your son is cute.” Nora said and stared at Kender, he placed his head on Axel’s chest.
“Of course. Have you seen his father?” Axel replied proudly and Nora rolled her eyes.
“Wait till you see Kendra closely. She is so beautiful.” Axel replied with a smile and Nora stared at him surprised.
“I thought you don’t like kids.” Nora said and he rolled his eyes at her before walking towards the dining room. Nora groaned and followed.
They got there and Lily was already seated just like the others, Axel ignored the vacant seat next to Malia and sat next to Lily. She glanced at him and he nodded at her.
Everyone was seated and the maids dished their meals, everyone ate silently. No one was ready to speak.
Axel’s step mother suddenly looked up and cleared her throat loudly.
“So, are we all just going to pretend like nothing is going on?” She asked and Mr. Blackwell turned to her, she gave him a look and he sighed before turning to Axel.
“Axel?” He called and he looked at him. He gave him a look that Axel understood. It was time for him to say what was going on or do a little introduction.
“I believe you all know Lily. This is her and these are our kids. Kender and Kendra.” He announced and Malia’s eyes widened. Same as her mother’s.
She felt her heart start to race as she got scared. She didn’t want to believe it, if it was true, then her plan would be ruined.
She would lose everything she had built and worked for for a year.
She suddenly let out a nervous laugh and everyone turned to her.
“That is not possible right? How can you be so sure they are yours? She was gone for a year.” She said and Nora scoffed.
“That’s a fucking dumb question. Can’t you see the kids?” She asked and Susan rolled her eyes.
“Axel, do you mind explaining to us what this is all about?” She asked with a fake smile.
“Lily was pregnant before she left. I found her and I brought her back home.” He replied.
“Well, she is welcome.” Mr. Blackwell replied with a smile and Lily looked up at him surprised. He has never smiled at her before.
Of course, he would smile at her, she has his first grandchildren, and a boy is one of them. His heir.”
Lily scoffed out loud and shook her head.
“Is something wrong dear?” He asked with a warm smile and Lily scoffed again. She wasn’t so surprised. They are so selfish and all they care about is their dumb family’s name and how things benefit them.
“They don’t have your last name, they have mine.” Lily said to him and he smiled again. He didn’t give a response. He was too calm about it.
“I believe something is odd somewhere. She can’t just show up with kids after a year.” Malia’s mother said with nervous laughter as she tried to stay calm and also get Mr. Blackwell’s attention.
“She did what your daughter failed to do in a year.” Mr. Blackwell said and she chuckled and bowed slightly.
“Sir, you should understand what… ”
“I don’t want to hear it.” He cut her off and she looked at Susan for help but she couldn’t say anything too.
“She is a fucking slut! How can you just accept this?” She yelled and Lily stared at her.
“If you don’t keep your mouth shut I will throw you out of my house.” Mr. Blackwell threatened.
“Mum, please.” Malia muttered and held her hand. She was scared too, she knew she was about to lose everything soon.
“I will be getting a divorce with Malia. I have the papers ready.” Axel said and Malia gasped.
Malia’s mother lost it and flared up.
“You can’t do that. You have no right to do that! You can’t… ”
“Get the hell out of my house.” Mr. Blackwell cut her off with a stern look and she stood up angrily.
She looked at Lily and glared at her.
“This won’t end well for you, Lily. You might end up dying just like your pathetic father!”
