“No, no, no. I am not leaving.” Lily replied and shook her head in tears.
“Lily, you have to… ” Gavin trailed off as Lily pulled him, she pulled him to his study and closed the door.
“Okay, he is not here now. Tell me what is wrong, tell me what he did to you and we can think of something to do.” Lily said and Gavin stared at her.
He shook his head after a few seconds and sighed.
“You just have to leave Lily. He is the father of your kids, he can take care of you guys better than I can.”
“No. No, I don’t want to go with him.” Lily replied in tears.
“You do. I saw the way you were sad these past few days because he didn’t show up. You want him, you love him.” Gavin replied and Lily started to cry.
“I’m sorry I was that way. I can’t deny the fact that I might still feel something for him but I don’t want him. I want you Gavin, I want to stay with you. I don’t want to go back to New York, I am so happy and at peace here. Please don’t let me go, I promise to love you, please Gavin.” Lily cried.
Gavin fought the urge to hold her and comfort her, he fought the urge to go back on his words.
“When you leave, we will be in no contact. It’s better that way, I would never see you again and I am sure we will never cross paths. I am so sorry Lily but it’s for the best.” He said.
Lily was about to fall to her knees to beg him but he held her as she cried.
“Gavin, please. Please, I don’t want to go.” She cried.
“You should get going. You don’t want to keep him waiting.” Gavin replied and slowly pulled away from her, Lily rushed out of the study and got to the living room. Axel was still there with the guards.
Lily rushed to him and suddenly slapped him hard. Axel ignored it and stared at her.
“I don’t know what you did to him, I don’t know what you said to him that made him so scared but I just want you to know, whatever feelings I still had for you just died. This just made me hate you more and I wish… ”
“You don’t need to pack your things. We are leaving now.” Axel cut her off and she stared at him in disbelief.
Lily turned to Gavin who was standing in a corner, he looked away from her and she sniffed as more tears kept streaming down her cheeks.
“What did you do to him, Axel? This is not fair. You can’t keep threatening people because you are powerful.”
“I didn’t do anything to him. He is right there, ask him.” Axel replied and Lily turned to Gavin again.
“It’s fine Lily. He didn’t do anything.” Gavin replied with a smile and Lily sighed. She was so exhausted and heartbroken.
She stared back and forth between both of them and realized she really had no choice. She rushed to Gavin and hugged him tightly.
“I am so sorry for whatever he did to you. I’m sorry.” She whispered in tears and Gavin chuckled. He hugged her back and creased her back then pulled away.
“You should go.” He said and smiled at her.
Lily sighed and nodded, she walked back to the middle of the room. She wiped her tears and turned to her kids who didn’t understand what was going on and kept playing. She slowly carried them and turned to Axel.
He was about to take Kendra from her when she shot him a glare.
“Let’s go.” He said and moved out of the way for her, Lily looked at Gavin one last time before walking out of the house.
Axel walked behind her, the guards opened the car door for them and they got in.
The chauffeur drove out and Lily looked back at the house, she cried silently and her kids kept staring at her.
Axel looked away from her and let her be, she needed to be alone.
The drive to the airport was fast, they got there and walked out of the car.
Lily carried her kids properly, despite her arms being tired, she still held them. She didn’t want Axel or any of his guards to touch them.
They walked towards the plane and she noticed Max was waiting. They got to him and he sighed heavily seeing Lily’s swollen eyes.
“Hey.” He called lightly with a little smile.
“Can you help me with him?” She asked lowly. Her voice was already low due to too much crying.
“Yeah, sure.” Max replied and took Kender from her.
She carried Kendra properly and walked into the plane. Max smiled at Kender and tickled him a little.
Max looked at Axel and noticed he looked lost.
“I still think you should tell her. It is her decision to make.” Max said and Axel shook his head.
“No, I did the right thing. It’s best if she doesn’t know anything about it.” Axel replied and Max nodded.
“Hey, your kid is cute.” Max chuckled and Axel stared at Kender.
“Kendra is beautiful,” Axel said.
“Oh, I haven’t taken a good look at her. I should.” Max replied and walked into the plane.
Axel exhaled and ran his hands through the hair.
“I did the right thing. I did the right thing.”

After hours, the plane landed and everyone headed out. Lily kept crying throughout the flight and Axel let her be. Max helped her with the kids and they fell asleep already.
They all headed to the car and as they got to it, Max had no choice but to give Kender to Axel. He was asleep too.
They both got into the car and Lily made sure Kendra was comfortable in her arms. She looked at Axel and saw he had no idea how to carry Kender.
“Just wrap your arms around him.” She said softly and he did.
The chauffeur ignited the car and drove.
The more they moved further, the more Lily cried.
She was scared, she was scared of the life she was going back into.
“You should stop crying. I did nothing to him, I swear. You should just know he isn’t worth it.”
