Book:A Night With Him Published:2025-2-8

Lily stared at the naked man next to her as her heart raced in fear, did was confused, beyond confused. She had no idea what happened or how she ended up with the man on the bed.
She tried to recall something but she couldn’t, she couldn’t recall anything that had happened. She thought about waking the man up but she didn’t. She looked at him and noticed he looked like he was in his late twenties.
She looked around the room and noticed her clothes were on the couch, she hurriedly stood up and rushed to the couch.
In a flash, she had her clothes on. She also noticed her phone too and she picked it up.
Her eyes widened in shock when she saw a hundred missed calls. A lot was from Nora and Axel then Max too and strange numbers.
Lily’s hands trembled and she glanced at the man. He was still asleep.
She slowly held her heels in her hand and walked towards the door silently.
She got out without waking him up and she sighed in relief.
She looked around where she was and noticed she was in a hallway and there was an elevator at the end.
“What the fuck?” She muttered in confusion.
As she headed towards the elevator, she dialled Nora’s number.
She picked up immediately and placed the phone at her ear.
“Lily, where the fuck are you?!” Nora screamed.
“I… I… I don’t know.” Lily stuttered in response.
“What? What do you mean? We have been looking for you since last night, you have been missing for over ten hours.” Nora said and Lily froze, she withdrew the phone from her ear and checked the time.
Her lips parted in shock as she realised it was almost noon. She didn’t notice earlier.
“Lily, are you there?” Nora asked and she put the phone back on her ear.
“Ye… yes.” She stuttered in response.
“Where are you?”
“I don’t know.” Lily replied in frustration and headed towards the elevator.
Nora was about to yell at her but Lily ended the call. She got to the elevator door and pressed a button, it opened and she walked in.
She stared at the buttons and she drew her brows together as she saw the number of floors the building has. They were twenty-four. How the hell did she get into a twenty-four-storey building and she can’t recall how?
She pressed the button for the ground floor and exhaled heavily. She wanted to cry but she fought back her tears. She didn’t want to think about what might have happened between her and the man she woke up next to.
Did something really happen? Did something not happen? Of course something did happen, they were both naked.
“Oh God!” Lily breathed out heavily and ran her hand through her hair.
Again, she tried to recall what had happened but it was all dark. Her head felt empty.
The elevator finally stopped on the ground floor and the door opened, slowly, Lily stepped out and looked around.
It looked like a hotel. Lily kept her head low as she walked towards the exit.
She got outside and looked around, where she wasn’t familiar to her.
She looked at the hotel and read the name out.
“Lobby.” She muttered and drew her brows together. That was such an awkward name for a hotel.
Again, she started to question herself. What the hell was going on? Where was she? How the hell did she end up in a hotel? What the hell happened last night?
She exhaled heavily and flinched when she heard her phone ring, she was lost in thought already.
People passing by kept staring at her, probably because she looked like she was mad and she was acting like she was too. Or maybe because she is dressed in a dress that is worth close to a million.
Lily ignored the stares, that was the least of her problems at that moment.
She stared at the caller and it was Nora, she decided not to pick up the call.
She decided to ask around so she would know where she was. A woman was walking past her and Lily stopped her.
“Excuse me, ma’am.” Lily said and the woman turned to her.
“Yes? How can I help you?” The woman asked.
“I am so sorry for stopping you, I just want to ask something. Am I still in New York City?” She asked and the woman smiled.
“Of course.” She replied and Lily sighed in relief.
“Okay, one more question. What street is this?”
“It is named after this hotel. Lobby.” The woman replied and Lily nodded.
“Thank you.” She said and the woman nodded at her before walking away.
Lily hurriedly stopped a taxi and got in. She told the taxi driver her location and he headed towards it.
Thirty minutes later, Lily arrived in front of Axel’s mansion. She informed a guard to pay the taxi driver as she made her way in.
Her heart raced as she got closer to the door, while she was on her way home, Nora had called her a lot of times but she ignored the calls. She kept thinking and trying to recall.
She got to the front door and took in a deep breath before walking in, immediately she got to the living room, and she paused when she saw Max, Nora, Axel, and two other strange men dressed in suits.
They all stared at her too.
Lily could hear her heart beating so fast as she waited for them to speak up. Axel suddenly stood up and rushed towards her, she shut her eyes in fear thinking he was about to hit her but instead, he wrapped his arms around her and hugged her tightly.
“Oh my God, where the hell have you been?” He muttered as he still held her.
Lily couldn’t think of what to say.
“I… I… ” She stuttered and he pulled away from the hug. Nora walked towards her and hugged her too.
As Lily was about to speak up, everyone’s phones suddenly beeped, including hers.
Everybody checked their phone and Lily froze as she stared at what popped up on the screen.
The phone slowly fell from her hand as it trembled.
What the hell just happened?!
